On 7/26/23 I went to RNR tire express in ********, ** to have my rims replaced on my car. The rims that I received a picture of I was quoted for new rims in stock. I choose the rent to own option so after they installed my rims and I returned to pick up my car the sales guy was going over my lease agreement and at no point did he tell me that they were used. After walking out to leave I inspected my rims and realized that they were scuffed up and had red paint/color on them. So I asked another worker, what happened? He explained that the rims were used. I told him that I was not aware of this and asked for the sales guy that was assisting me. He then came out and I asked him why I was not told that they were used. He quickly passed it off to another employee saying he was following what the guy said to him. I explained that was not the issue. The issue was that he did not inform me that the rims were used and it is illegal to sell someone a product without informing them of that. I asked to speak to the owner and he said they were both not there on the weekend but would have one of them call me back on Monday. Which they did not do. I finally spoke to one of the owners *****?? and after I explained the situation she told me I should've known they were used because they had tires mounted on them. I said it is not my job to know that but it was their job to inform me of it legally and provide me with a warranty which they did not. She continued to get defensive and try and pass it off as my fault instead of her employees. At no point did she try and resolve the issue. She actually told me to bring back her merchandise after I paid $200 of the $880 for the rent to own option and that it belonged to her. On 7/29/23 ******* came into RNR Tire Express with the intent to purchase a set of wheels. Per two of my employees ******* was told the wheels were used and had the product pointed out to her. She confirmed that those were the ones she wanted so per request we installed them on her vehicle.Upon ******* returning to the store to pick up her vehicle, she looked at her car then came into the store to sign her lease agreement with us. Attached is a copy of the lease agreement she signed with an employee of the store. In that lease agreement it clearly states the product description, and the condition of the product is used (on page 1 section 3). Once she got ready to leave is when she became unhappy with her purchase.
On Tuesday 8/01/23 Casee my business partner spoke to *******. She kept stating to Casee that she wanted us as the owners of this store to say that we illegally sold her used product as new. You can clearly see in the lease agreement that we were up front about the products condition.***** offered to order her a new set of wheels of her choice, and she declined.***** also offered her to return the product to the store if she no longer wanted them which it clearly states in our lease agreement that she can do with no penalties or fees which she also declined and stated the wheels belonged to her now as she had already signed the lease agreement with us.

I went to the business to get new struts and shocks put on my vehicle, while they were doing that they broke an axel, when they broke ******** they broke the ceil that connects to my transmission and didnt fix it so my transmission blew while I was driving it. They have been giving me the run around on getting my vehicle fixed and getting me a rental car. I have missed 4 days of work because they keep promising me a rental car and then calling me giving me a story as to why they cant get a rental car and as to why they keep moving my vehicle from shop to shop. When I call corporate no one calls me back, the store manager in my area is no help and does not find my issue to be an important matter. We are covering the costs of both the rental vehicle and the transmission replacement. I started doing business with RNR Tire on July 15, 2023. I put a down payment of $20 for 4 new tires on our 2013 Nissan Rogue. On July 19, 2023 the left front tire was low of air and the TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR warning light came on due to the low air pressure. I called the Roadside Assistance that RNR Tire offered when I bought the tires to help out with the low tire. The gentlemen came to install my spare tire and I noticed the spare was very low of air pressure after it was installed in the car once the lift jack was removed. The spare tire apparently was no good and had a blow out in the parking lot after the gentlemen had left and I got in the car to drive away. So I called the Roadside Assistance once more to get help with a tow truck since I was stranded without any other tire or spare tire. The Roadside Assistance said I could not get any help that night for 72 hours after the first call since I had already made a call one that day. So I had to call Lubbock Wrecker to tow my car to RNR Tire on North University where I purchased the tires and is charged $110 out of my pocket just because Roadside would not help me again that day being that the gentlemen that came to help had said the spare tire looked really low. So then I called my wife to pick me up at the location where the car was. July 20th RNR Tire repaired the tire, thankfully, so then I go to pick up the car at RNR Tire and noticed that the valve stem did not match the other 3 valve stems on the car. Still there at RNR Tire I get in the car to start then I noticed the TPS light was on. So I went to tell the salesman and he looked at the car and went to talk to his technician. He came back and said to drive it at least 20 miles and maybe the warning light will turn off. So I drove the car and it never did turn off. So I go back and talk to the assistant manager. He said he would take care of it. Waited there 30 minutes then to find out from the technician that the TPS sensor was broken since the 1st time.Business Response

Customer purchased product from one of our Lubbock locations and within a week caught a flat tire. He proceeded to use the roadside service which came out to him and put his spare on. The spare blew out not long after it was installed leaving the vehicle stranded. Our roadside service will only offer one free service every so many days. Customer paid to have the vehicle towed to us. When we had possession of the vehicle, we replaced the damaged tire. The sensor at was damaged when it was brought in by the customer as well due to it going flat. We notified the customer and put a regular stem in the tire since the customer refused to purchase one. We will agree to put in a new sensor in for this customer if he returns to our store so we can do this service for him.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: there's 3 things that are mentioned not true! Roadside Service offers service 72 hours after one call only. This needs to be advised with sales person explaining roadside service to customers. If I knew about the 72 hour wait time I would have asked for a tow to get my car to RNR Tire instead of spare being installed. When RNR Tire was aware of my car being at there location the following morning the new tire in the hatchback of my car was not completely flat damaging the TPS Sensor which RNR Tire claims it was damaged due to being flat. The tire was not completely flat or driven flat. I contacted Roadside because I did not want to ruin the tire by driving with low air pressure. There wasn't anything wrong with the tire or TPS Sensor at the time of being towed to RNR Tire. I was not contacted about the TPS sensor valve being damaged or the tire being damaged for it to be replaced. I noticed the TPS light on upon picking up my vehicle and mentioned to **** (sales person) before I left the parking lot and was advised to drive for at least 20 miles for the sensor to reset while driving. I drive for 2 days and TPS light still on. I returned and **** and there mechanic attempted to clear sensor code but could not clear. Again, **** mentioned to drive for 20 miles or so. TPS light still on! Went back for the 3rd time to attempt to get this TPS light off. **** came to me after being there for 40 minutes to finally attempt to show me a sensor that was not even from my vehicle claiming that's the reason the technician installed a regular valve stem. I was never notified about the TPS sensor being damaged. I believe the technician damaged upon removing the new tire. According to one of the front employees the technician was new to RNR Tire and was still getting things down with the new job. After 3rd attempt to get my car going I went ahead and bought the TPS Sensor from O'Reillys in order for the TPS light to come off. Still light was on after installation of new sensor after being told there was no TPS Sensor in the left front tire. This whole deal is just not a good deal from the start. Again, I want full refund of the TPS sensor I bought from O'Reillys $75 (proof of receipts provided) full refund of LUBBOCK WRECKER SERVICES $110 charge (receipt attached) after I paid out of my pocket since roadside failed me when I needed them the most. Stranded!!! Also, agree to settle tires paid in full for compensation of ALL my emotional breakdowns, distress due to all that has occurred. I am disabled and do not need to be treated or given the run around when I'm doing business with a business that suppose to be professionally staffed. If we cannot come to an agreement I will need to pursue in Small Claims Court.

Yes, this is kind of a complaint. I just need BBB to be a third party witness to this. I got tires off of RNR in ******** *******. And my payment was always paid on time. My brother passed away so I asked to move a weekly payment to the next week due to not being at work for the funeral. And they agreed to move that payment date. Which they have done in the past and I've paid it on time. That week it was due I received a paper check that was bereavement pay for missing due to a death. They attempted to take out the double payment of $65 twice, then when it was declined I sent them a message letting them know I had to cash the check after work and would pay it that day or the next. They did not respond instead tried taking a lesser amount out of my account after I told them. Then they tried taking another payment. Then they messaged saying I was delinquent, I was only a few days behind. I called them and they were very rude about the situation. Things got worse in my life and I was having trouble getting the amount paid. They still try to take out different amounts. I talked to a lady today and she accused me of hiding my vehicle which is not true and said if I don't pay tomorrow they would file a stolen merchandise claim. Which according to the law this is a civil matter and would have to be taken to court before it's deemed stolen. They said they came to my work and I was not there. That's because they went to the office and we work at different job locations across *******. We do not work at the office. She said they came by my home and was hiding my truck. I haven't really been home lately because of the death of my brother I have been gone most of the time with family. So for them to assume and threaten criminal action for a rent to own civil matter is not right. Not even right by law. I want to keep the tires and get this payment resolved without the false criminal threat of prosecution. I only owe $165. Would like to get the payment resolved without issues.Business Response

Purchased tires from rnr tire on 12/23/2022. Agreement was six months same as cash. Every time I would talk to someone during these past six months I was given pay off amounts that changed. I thought that I had made my last payment in June of 2023. I get a text about payment being kdue in July. I said I have made my last payment ********* They said I had still owed ****** and since it was passed June 21 2023 my pay off was ******. I offered to pay the ****** but they refused. They want ******. I made most of my payments on line at their payment site. It never gave me an update on balance. I also text them numerous times on the different pay offs I got when I called. They said they never got texts. They said the phone number I text them does not take texts. I have text from them giving me a reminder when payments are due. It says call or text that number. I was never called that I needed to pay that ****** which I would have paid. But now they want to charge me an additional ****** or make payments of ****** for 12 months. I have requested copy of contract with no response. my original rims and tires were never returned and that is not good service I almost had them paid off in time frame of same as cash deal, which is now past and I have surpassed that amount already I chose to quit paying due to multiple reasons I have called about issues so many times the bare minimum has been done they have been so unprofessional they were suppose fix my sensor they put on wrong that was swishing around in my tires they are acting like Im responsibile as a customer to make sure that there company puts the rims and tires in my car, my warning light for low tire pressure is still on due to my tire sensor still being messed up after I had them fix it instead the valve stem was replaced for what reason I have no clue but it was with a black plastic one which is not original I will not pay on rims that have been tampered with and that are no longer in original state, agreement was never signed for me to get my wheels and tires tampered with, valve stem should not of been replaced it is plastic compared to original chrome ones that is on other three tires, Ive went in to get rims back after they had forgotten for 2nd time to put in my trunk they made it there responsibility as a company to say it would be done and failed on both attempts to simply return my rims and tires, the value of my rims goes down when they swap out replacement parts that should of never been replaced so this is a breach in our agreement like I said they modified my own rims to now have less of a value and look horrible and on top of that my tire sensor is still messed up so overall they have just tampered with my new rims to there liking, not the customers I have made multiple complaints with bare minimum done they expect to get payments for a set of rims and tires that are no longer in original state and not only that but cannot be returned due to them tossing my original wheels and tires more info attached to pdfBusiness Response

We have attached a copy of the signed lease agreement as requested. As for the stock rims and tires, the customer and the general manager came to an agreement that we would apply a $200.00 credit to the customer's account to make up for the miscommunication regarding them being returned, and this credit was applied to the account on 5/19/23. As for the valve, this is the first we are hearing of this issue which is a simple fix. The customer just needs to contact the store to set up an appointment and we'd be happy to correct the issue for him. We are unaware of any tampering but again, if the customer wants to set up an appointment for us to take a look, we'd be happy to do so and try to rectify the situation.Customer Answer

For one you have now taken rims from me and now you estimate them as well? The $200 credit applied to the account was the amount the customer agreed because he was the one who gave us the value amount. The customer also let the *** expire which he stated in his initial complaint. As we stated before, the issue with the light and valve is an easy fix that can be done by simply making an appointment. The initial complaint was the first time we have heard anything about "tampering" with tires and rims. We submitted the signed lease agreement upon request last time but have attached it again along with the customer's pay history showing where we applied the credits to the accounts for the stock merchandise. The credit was applied back in May, the customer continued paying and then decided to stop after the same as cash deal expired and now has this list of issues. We have responded to the customer's complaints saying that we would be happy to take a look a the sensor to get it fixed and the other issues have not been brought to our attention until now. We would like to note that it is in fact the customer's responsibility to make sure they receive their stock wheels and tires because it is something we otherwise dispose of for the customer. My complaint is for a purchase my daughter **** made few months ago with R and R tire in **************. She purchased tires and all the protection plans offered. She was then involved in a serious car accident on May 17th in ***********. Car was totaled and police report was turned in to R and R and car still remains there in the tow yard. We contacted R and R on May 28th and informed them of the accident. The man we spoke to explained that ***** payment for **** would probably be taken out automatically because he had to send police report and all information to corporate and it could take a few weeks before insurance got to it. We understood. Payment in **** was taken out. Fast forward to July and July's payment was also taken out as well! We no longer have this car or the tires. I contacted *********** ** local office and the lady informed me that she would be refunding Jades July payment but no such thing has happened yet! This has been traumatic enough for my daughter. She's a college student trying to get by and a payment coming out of her account for something she don't even have anymore is not right! Please help!Business Response

On the *** (insurance provider) side the full claim was submitted on 6/22/23. On 6/27/23 *** denied the claim because they needed a product protection waiver form which was then resubmitted 7/6/23. As of today, the store is still waiting on the status of this claim. Once a claim is approved it takes **** business days for a check to come in. My daughter signed all waivers at time of purchase including ones stating they would be covered in a event of an accident. It is not our fault if papers are not submitted almost a month after we called to report this and my daughter still shouldn't be getting charged for tires she don't even have anymore.

My original quote for four tires was $880, after nearly $880 they are asking me to pay an additional $687. I originally paid $440 the day I got the tires and wanted to pay the additional $440 my next paycheck. They said thats okay and that they can set up an automatic payment at the time of my next paycheck. Instead of withdrawing the amount I asked for they automatically pulled the minimum biweekly payment amount. When I was quoted the salesman did not mention to me that there would be any rental charge, I was told I could make two payments of $440 and the tires would be paid off. *** tried calling and using their texting service to make the payment in full multiple times over the last few months, when I called I got hung up on, and when I texted I could not get accurate information, although i was told over text that the original amount quoted was the correct amount due. I had to go in to the store to attempt to get all of this resolved, while in the store the person helping me mentioned they had issues with the salesman who sold me the tires previously. After complaining in store they said they would work with corporate to resolve my account. The resolution that they came up with was charging me $450 more than I was quoted, rather than $687. This isnt actually a resolution, when Ive been trying to solve the problem for months and have only been charged a higher amount in rental fees because theyve been dragging their feet in helping me resolve my account. She came into the store on the afternoon of the 10th of July, and we came to an agreed amount that she would pay and we closed the account. She let us know that she appreciated what we did, and told us she would update the BBB with her satisfied resolution.

K**** ****** A customer of *** of ******* ******* financed tires through *** for a car that we I own he had no permission nor did *** have permission to put these tires on my car. I never talked to anyone I never signed anything stating someone can replace my tires or even touch my car for that matter. K*** ****** returned the car to my possession after having to report it stolen for him failing to return the car. Then *** show up trespassing on my property and put my car on stacked up 2x4 pieces of wood on dirt and gravel and steal my rims that were on my car when I purchased it and there tires I told them to leave and not to touch my car and they refused and proceeded. I then called *** AND told them that the situation and they proceeded to tell me that those or their rims and their tires and I was not getting them back. Remind you this is between rnr and their customer not me and my vehicle. Then my fianc called and they told him they are friends with their customer and we will not be getting our wheels back. I then called the *** OF ******** ** and they informed me that I will be getting my rims back and that it was mix up and I can go pick them up. I then call *** OF ******* and told them the Columbus store said it was a mistake and that Im on the way to get my rims they then said Im a threatening manner they will catch me out in the parking lot and I was not getting my rims at all and that there customer k**** ****** will have to get them. This is Fourth of July weekend and I am now down a vehicle for 4-5 days for something I believe they had no legal right to do.Business Response

You seem not to have a problem with it until you split up.
Your ex-Boyfriend called and told us to come and return the product because he was not going to pay for it any longer. We just did what he asked.
the police arrived and said it was our merchandise and we could legally repossess the product at that time.
if you would like to continue to pay for the product just get in touch with the store.

On Saturday June 24th at 4:33pm RnR tire came and repossessed my rims and tire due to my account being late I called them when my brother sent me a picture of my vehicle in the same call which lasted 7 mins I payed the remaining balance on the account which was ****** I was informed by *** the store manager that my tires and rims would be placed back on my vehicle, Sunday morning I drove to work and noticed a loud clanking noise and my car wobbling, when I got off work at 2:35pm I started to drive home I notice that the clanking was getting louder and the wobbling became uncontrollable until my front left tire managed to somehow completely fall off, I quickly called my father Im a panic to come help me when he got there he quickly realized that my tire had no lug nuts on it at all and my other 3 tires were missing lug nuts and werent even tightened but just placed on there, when I got my vehicle home I went to look it the parking spot they had taken the wheels off and put back on in and realized my lug nuts were just thrown on the floor, Monday morning I called RnR tire to see as to why the recovery team did not in fact put my tire back on the same way they took them off and *** was no help all he said was his cooperate office would reach out to me, and no one has yet to reach out to me, so Thursday early afternoon I called RnR tire to get a direct number to someone who can help me because my vehicle is not able to be driven due to the studs completely broken theres damage to my drivers door and to the rims I just payed off I in fact talked to a man named ***** who was no help but tried to justify the fact that his recovery team was so careless and unprofessional because Im the past Ive been late for my payments I quickly informed him that the account was payed off I didnt owe anything else and because of they poor employees and there unprofessional nature my vehicle is now damaged and there not trying to do anything to help in anyway when its there faultBusiness Response

To whom it may concern,
in regards to this complaint the customer was ********************************************* repossession status. With the status of the account our recovery team did locate the vehicle and picked up the merchandise that was not being paid on. After the items were picked up the customer call and paid full remaining balance and we offered to put the items back on which is something we normally don't due but were trying to take care of the customer. We had a technician return the items and secure them to the vehicle. While the tech was there the customer had come out telling him to get away from the vehicle and was screaming at him. All of the tires were secured to the vehicle properly and our tech proceeded to load all the equipment and leave the area. In regards to the lug nuts she had found anytime we return merchandise to our customers we replace the lug nuts the ones she had found were from when the recovery team originally picked up the merchandise. The corporate office has reached out to her and has also asked for return phone calls in which have not been returned to them. I am rejecting this response because: all in which you stated is inaccurate the account was delinquent but paid off within a matter of 7 mins. Also RNR tire didnt offer to put my tires and wheels back on I informed him that I was at work and I asked *** if they would and *** the store manager said of course they will be put back on within 20 min, so your statement in which you said I came out yelling telling them to get always from my vehicle is inaccurate because I wasnt even home I was at work and I can definitely prove it with my time card. Your guys didnt properly put my lug nuts on causing my tire to fall off while I was driving it I could have seriously been injured not to mention the damages I now have to pay because of your recovery teams negligence. And you saying your cooperate office has reached out to me is a lie Ive called every day asking for the correct number or email so I can talk to someone about this and still nothing this is ridiculous that you guys still have a store here when the way they operate is unprofessional.

Unfortunately, we stand by our previous statement and response. The statement where you said you were delinquent and paid within 7 minutes is very in accurate. You were several payments behind and the only reason you paid for the account is because we repoed our merchandise for violating the terms of the signed contract.
