So in Feb of 2022 me and my husband went to RNR in ********* ** to get tires bc we didn't have the money to go by the out right. I do not remember the sales guy name but he was very helpful at first. I signed the contract for wheels and tires. Well the wheel caps wouldn't stay on one of the tires and these so I picked out another pair of wheels and waited on him to order them it was about 2 or 3 weeks when they came in still not the correct wheels that I wanted but I took them and I didn't sign another contract. I was told verbally that everything would stay the same. That our contract would be paid off in mid July. After a few weeks I set up auto draft so that I wouldn't forget. There were several weeks where I had to call them to take out double payments bc they weren't taking them out on their own. We pay the amount that was on contract to b paid in 180 days same as cash, Then they wanted to say that we owed until sept. I paid the amount that the contracted stated we owed and we have been in contact with them almost weekly trying to figure it out. The manager at the store FINALLY called us back and said something didn't look right that there are 2 contracts and we didn't have 2 and he would straighten it out. But then he flipped on what he said. So Ive been trying to get in contact with the DM in LA for 2 weeks and never returned my calls. I called the store level again and they said I had a meeting with the DM sat 08/20/22 and that I didn't show up to. No one notified me that there was a meeting nor did I speak with the DM. He called me to today stating that he spoke with me b4 today and I called him a liar bc I never spoke with this man bc every time I called he is always to busy. They are stating that we didn't pay the amount to be paid for in 180. the minimum amount was $98.51 on their document now. And the amount on their document to b paid in full in 180 days same as cash was estimated at $130.38. In which I paid $140 a week since Feb 12th until mid July.Business Response

As I understand this matter, our representatives (***************************, General Manager and *****************, Regional Manager) have talked with ******************* According to witnesses at that location, ****************** became verbally abusive on a number of occasions while demanding a lower payoff of $500. According to the notes on the account, there were 5 missed auto draft payments (May 28, July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30) and as of today, the account is 4 weeks delinquent. Additionally, according to an email from *******************, this account would be paid off the week of 29 August, for the balance (at that time) of $783. 65. As of this response, that has not happened. Most of these cases are at handled civilly. However, if our employees are subject to verbal abuse during the conversation, they will disengage at that point. We will gladly accept the return of our merchandise (with no further obligation) in condition to be resold, or the full payoff amount (which includes accumulating late fees). The 6 months same as cash expires on 8 September. We will extend this to 10 September in an effort to show good faith on our end.

I am rejecting this response because:Because they r neglecting to mention that they also got very rude and abusive on the phone on numerous occasions. And you can clearly ready the 1st email asking a question with no response. Then 3 days later I responded with the other statement because I hadn't received an answer. Which the lady called today and I told her exactly what's in the email. I did say that I would try and come one day this week also but without stating something in email about having PROOF of paid in full. I will not and me asking for this seemed to really annoy the lady there today. So this company is about getting over on people and not very forth coming with all their info on how they operate. And the problem goes deeper in their company because their regional manager "called my husband and set up a meeting with him personally" which we have phone records to prove that that never happened. After the so called meeting he finally decided to call which we have witnesses to discuss my husband not coming to the meeting they "set up". And as far as those auto drafts not coming out my bank would've notified me of something not going through and do auto transfer from another account so if it didnt get auto drafted there is a glitch in there system that they need to fix but my bank records do not show nothing being returned/not going through. And I notice there isnt a response the whole 180 amount that "we didn't pay" but yet we paid $140 every week.
Sincerely,
*******************************Business Response

RnR tires is shady and over charging customers that aren't correctly informed on policies. I started a contract with RNR in January of 2021. I paid on time every month until my card was hacked resulting in it being canceled so payments were stopped. Upon calling for a payoff amount July 14 2021, I was told that since I didnt pay off the balance within 180 days, the payments I have already made to them meant nothing and my balance owed shot back up to $700+ (almost the original loan amount when less than $200 was actually due from the original sale agreement) so RNR is charging me over $1,400 for a set of tires that are worth less than $700. I understood that finance fees had the potential to be tacked on, but to tell me that I am being penalized over $700 because the balance wasn't paid off in 180 days is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. The very RUDE sales associate on the phone told me it was my fault for the over $700 penalty and they can't do anything about it since I didn't pay by July 5 2022. When I called on July 14 2022 I only owed $200 but they kept pulling out of my account so nothing is adding up on why when I went to pay my bill on July 14th he never said anything about another $700 owed. 10 days late and this is the business they want to run. Buyers need to be aware that this business is literally taking advantage of the public and that they have very shady and distasteful sales practices which results in the consumer being immensely overcharged.Business Response

This company has a groupon available online for a Front end alignment for $34.99. Upon arrival I was told that the technician could not perform the alignment unless I bought new tires. I said I don't understand why I have to spend $750 on brand new tires for 8 $50 service the manager proceed to tell Me that I no longer would need the $50 service because the front end alignment would be included in the purchase of the tires. And because I refused to purchase new tires they refused my service. I went back in the groupon and read the fine print to make sure I did not miss anything there's nothing that says that there hasHas to be brand new tires on the vehicle in order for them to perform an en alignment, they are gouging the prices and it's not fair.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/11) */ I am very sorry the RNR team member did not explain to you why we could not perform the service you purchased from Groupon. After the visual inspection, it was determined the tires needed to be replaced. I hope you understand we do not want to charge our customers for a service that will not serve any benefit. I would like to offer you a free rotation and alignment once you have replaced your tires, regardless of where you purchase them from. Thank you for informing us of your experience, it is the only way we can get better. Sincerely RNR Team,Initial Complaint

I was verbally told what the terms and conditions of the the contract we're going to be. And when I got the contract, none of this showed up on it. There was no starting amount, no monthly amount, nor no ending amount. I was told that I could "" buy out the remaining half of the contract at any time. I also asked them to change the yeah Dave that the contract starts, to a different day. But they have refused to work with me. They harass me by by sending and calling me at 6 AM my local time period they have threatened me with legal actions even though I have consistently told I have consistently told them that I am unable to pay on the day that they want me to, And that I am more than willing to pay on the 1st of the month. And have asked them time to change the date.Business Response

I purchased a set of $6000 set of Wheels and tires that came with a lifetime warranty on the wheels. I tried to set up an appointment to reset the pressure sensors. A process covered under my warranty however I was told it would cost $100.00. When I purchased the wheels I watched the staff throwing screws and nails in the parking lot. Explaining why none of the staff parks in there own lot. After paying off the wheels and tires online I was harassed by the financial agent and threatened with repossession. I was told I had to make the payment cash in person. After contacting a different location they closed the account and the text finally stopped. The same man tried to charge me for a service covered by the warrantyBusiness Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/12) */ First I want to thank you for trusting RNR with your tire needs. Second I want to thank you for providing honest feedback . Hearing from our valued customers is extremely important to us, as it is the only way we can get better at serving our valued customers. I am very sorry you have not received the great experience we strive so hard to give our valued customers. With your purchase you receive our customer care package. This includes rotation, balance and flat repair for the life of the tires. Any additional repair or diagnostic would have an additional labor charge. In regards to the nails being thrown in the parking lot. We take this very serious and will need to review video footage from that day. Please reply with the day and time this happened. In regards to the collection effort, account shows zero balance as of March of 2021. I am very sorry for how you were treated and will be looking into this as well. Here at RNR we value our customers and team members. We would like to learn and grow from past experiences. Your feedback is going to help us get better for all of our customers. Thank you so much.Initial Complaint

In April 2022 I went to RNR tires in Hattiesburg to get new tires for my truck. The older tires I had held air perfectly fine. The workers stated that they were short handed and the guy in the shop was new, I have a witness. They put the tires on and a week later I left to go back to work for 21 days I got back and had 3 sitting on the rim. I took it back to RNR and they said my rims were bent that I needed to go get it fixed. They changed my valve stems and put some sealant around my rim to bandaid it. A week later they were back flat. They have went flat 3 times so far and all they are harassing me about is a payment. They have threatened to come repo the tires because I refuse to pay because they messed my rims up with a new guy in the shop and my rims are oversized rims. They keep refusing to solve the problem but yet keep threatening to come repo my tires. I have pictures of each time they went flat. I'm seeing if the BBB can help me before I file a lawsuit and take this matter to courtBusiness Response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/07/19) */ Customer had been ignoring us not allowing us to fix his problem. We have plenty of support of us trying to reach out to him to no avail. He has since returned the tires because his wheels that were his were so corroded they would not hold air.Initial Complaint

The Austin Texas location has been nothing but rude. I have less than 1500 dollars to pay on a 5000 dollar initial payment. My bank card has been compromised my bank number was compromised and unfortunately I am having to wait on the bank to resolve and replace the cards as well make corrections to my account refunds to my balance. I've had to stop my direct deposit and have it start to go out to another account which can take a while. But the manager at this place threaten me with criminal charges and taking me to court insulted me telling me if I can't afford the rims give them back. I'd this the type of people you all have working for you company? It's rude it lacks empathy and a person who behaves this way should not be in any leadership role at all. The earliest time for me to provide a payment is next week. Texas has laws that protect Texas consumers against being arrested or criminally prosecuted for falling behind on payments or failing to make a payment apparently you staff doesn't know that and I fully plan on having my lawyer get involved because it's unconstitutional. I am not an I'll intentioned customer if I was I would have not paid well over 4000 in charges thus far. June the 14th the bill was signed into Texas law so I don't not want to speak to any one from that Austin location. I WANT TO SPEAK TO CORPORATE ASAP.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/17) */ I have spoken with customer and have listened to her concerns. Based on her feedback, we will be having a staff training to address her concerns. Explained to her that reason for the calls is because tore and wheel agreement payments had not been paid and she was late on the payments. The last payment taken was via check, but check was rejected by her bank. We do want to note that many extensions had been given to customer to catch up on payments. In fact, the last extension approved was for an entire month. Customer stated that she has been dealing with some personal situations and reasons for the late payments. The biggest concern she had were the tone of the calls we were making and the messages that we were sending demanding payments. I apologized for that and again reinstated that we will take her feedback as training opportunities with our employees. Customer did agree to send a payment which has already been processed on June 15th. Once check clears from the bank, we agreed to review the total owed and that we would be providing options to assist her in paying off her account. She was happy with that resolution.
