We spoke with *** ********, who is actually the mother of our customer. The Groupon was redeemed by Ms ******** on 12/8 and the alignment was scheduled for 12/31. We were unable to do the alignment on the customer's vehicle due to vehicle parts and poor tire condition. The customer contacted us on 1/3/25 to reschedule the alignment and look at a tire purchase. On 1/8/25 the customer called back and said he would be late, but then cancelled the appointment all together. He had put $20 toward a new set of tires and we refunded that. He asked multiple times about a refund, and he may have been alluding to the Groupon refund. Many times, the customer initiates the refund with Groupon. The last contact we had with the customer was 1/11/25. After receiving this complaint, we contacted the customers, pushed the refund through Groupon back to them (March 4th), and let them know we would help with anything they needed. We have not heard anything since that conversation on March 5th. We failed to initiate the refund through *******, as the team believed the customer would be able to retrieve it themselves. This was a learning opportunity for the team. As for the caliper and re-torque referenced in the complaint, we did not touch the calipers or remove the tires when it was at our shop. No torque check would have happened because the wheels were not removed. We hope to serve Ms. ******** and her son in the future with any needs they may have, and apologize for any inconvenience.Initial Complaint

I bought Rims from the *** Tire in ******* *****. I signed a contract stating the 90 Cash Price Including Taxes was $1684.37. I have paid $1080 in 3 months not including the initial $120 I paid for delivery costs they stated. They are stating I still owe them $692 for my rims! I have made larger payments every month in hopes to pay off my rims sooner. My first issue is when they told me my payments needed to be $404 a month for 6 months which is $2400!!! The Rims cost $1556 plus tax! Even to this day they keep asking for $404 a month! Now Im being told that I have only paid $837 towards my rims. The rest are fees, taxes and taxes on fees that are not in the agreement I signed! And even using the numbers given at the location, the amounts still dont add up!! They never explained the contract to me but highlighted the $1684.37 to show thats my 120 days cash price. Now Im being told that there are a ton of extra fees and taxes not outlined in the agreement nor was I made aware of! Accounting said all they can do is apologize to me. They could barely tell me how the numbers were adding up! All they know is the totals of everything! Taxes dont add up. Fees dont add up. And my payoff amount doesnt add up. I talked to one girl at the location that told me it was because my payments were in receivables not towards the principal. That also makes no sense as its 120 day cash price so what would it matter how they are put in? It all goes towards the balance. Also the $1684.37 includes taxes of $128.37!Business Response

It is the customer's responsibility to return the product when a car is repossessed and the customer is still responsible for the amount owed. The account is still showing as 7 weeks past due as of March 6th. We will have to continue calling on this account until it is paid out. We are happy to help extend the terms or whatever we need to do to help with this situation, but only if the customer is willing to do so while treating our staff with dignity and respect. Today 2/15/2025 I payed rnr tire express in ************************** amount of 75$ yesterday on Valentines Day was my last day for the 120 day without interest I called the shop days before the date. Because their system works perfectly to charge the card on file every Saturday so I knew to call and ask for my card to be charged the day before for the remaining balance to be payed by the 120 day without interest which was Friday February 14th! Which they did not do, instead waited until the next day Saturday the day my card gets charged a day after the last day to pay off .. if card was on file and I called days before due date but didnt get charged when I asked and knew that was last day they could have ran my card just out of courtesy!!Business Response

Every lease agreement we type up is closed and explained in detail with every customer that the 120 Day SAC option is the customer's responsibility. There is no ***** period
or adjustment after the 120th day should a customer miss that payout option. Any customer that misses it can still save 40% off the total of the remainder of the term(weeks) that can be paid in full at any time for that discount to be applied. The general manager for this location has spoken to our customer's husband since this incident happened and he admitted that they were out of town and it slipped their mind. The autopay system runs on the due date as it should for the normal weekly/biweekly/semi-monthly/monthly payment unless the customer calls ahead of time to have the store manually run the card for a higher amount. Being that the nature of the agreement is a rental, a customer is never obligated to keep the merchandise and may cancel at any time.

Due to the nature of the agreement being a 'rental', you are never under any obligation and can return the merchandise at any time. The store takes no responsibility in the customer choosing to exercise the early payment option or not.Initial Complaint

I purchased a set of tires at the ***********, LA location on the payment plan, sometime in 2023. In late October 2024, my account was paid down to under $220, but I was unable to make a few payments on time (biweekly plan) due to an illness and unforeseen automotive emergency repairs. In December, when my finances were caught back up, I contacted RnR and was told that if I didn't make a payment of $370, my tires would be repossessed. I asked what my balance would be after making that payment, and was told that they "didn't have access to my balance until the fees and past due balance was paid". I paid the $370 dollars, and was then informed that my remaining balance was $198. This needs to be looked into, as there's no feasible way this is accurate. I'm currently being threatened with repossession again, but I can't see paying another inflated 'late fee' only to see my total not go down. Please contact me at the listed number as soon as possible to resolve this issue. Thank you.Business Response

On August 8, 2024, I signed a contract with RNR Tire Express for the purchase of tires and rims, with an initial payment of $150. I paid a total of $2,299.05 for the tires and rims, yet after my payments, I was still told that I owed $1,910, which raises concerns about unfair pricing. The business advertised payments as low as $20 per week, but they never disclosed the full cost, interest, or payment breakdown upfront. Instead, I was told about the final cost, which ranged between $3,300 - $3,500, only after the tires were installed. The nature of the dispute involves deceptive trade practices, including the failure to provide an itemized statement before the tires were installed and failure to disclose the complete terms of the installment sale. Despite requesting an itemized statement multiple times, they have refused to provide one. I was also pressured by unexpected, high payments, which I had not been made aware of initially, causing significant stress and financial strain. I had to take out up to $2,000 in loans to keep up with these payments. The business also refused to adjust my payment dates to match my pay schedule for four months, causing late fees and further financial strain. After being 11 days late with my payments, they repossessed my tires, even though I had already made significant payments towards the total cost. This situation has caused me emotional distress and financial hardship, and I am seeking a full refund of the money Ive paid along with compensation for the undue stress caused by these deceptive practices. The issue was first brought to my attention through in-store signage on August 8, 2024, which falsely advertised a payment plan starting as low as $20 a week.Business Response

per signed agreement
The reason for the repossession of the property was because nonpayment on a signed rental agreement. After multiple text strings of the customer saying that they would pay it never happened.
If the customer would like to pay off the wheels and tires, we would be more than happy to look at that.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I appreciate the response from RNR; however, their reply does not address my primary complaint.
1. Lack of Full Price Disclosure:
Before signing, RNR never provided me with the total cost of the tires, the final amount I would owe, or the payment structure.
Alabama law (AL **** 7-2-302) allows a contract to be voided if it is unconscionable, meaning the terms were unfairly imposed or not properly disclosed.
I was only made aware of the true cost after signing, which is misleading and against consumer fairness practices.
2. Misleading Business Practices:
RNRs advertising and in-store process did not display pricing for any tires, preventing me from making an informed decision.
They promoted affordable options but withheld pricing information until after installation.
3. Their Response Avoids the Key Issue:
Their response only states that I didnt pay, but it does not address my claim that the contract was presented unfairly.
If they had provided the full cost upfront, I would have never agreed to this deal.
4. Request for Resolution:
I request a full refund of my payments, as the contract should be voided due to their failure to disclose key financial terms before signing.
I am more than willing to escalate this matter further, including legal action, if necessary.
Sincerely,

I am gather up the information to do an Audit on your account. This will take a few days. I do see that even though you went past your 6 sac option and went into the full pay option with a 50% pay off available. I personally still went back and paid off your account as if you paid the 6 sac. The extra money you paid after you went past your 6 Sac option then becomes rent and is non-refundable. Thank you for your patience.

I am rejecting this response because:I deny that I was late on payments. I show them by their own account that I overpaid them. They said because I was a day late because I had changed credit cards payments, went over the sac agreement by 1 day. I ask them to show the policy showing if you one day late the sac is voided? To date they have not. I have made numerous calls to the store, customer service and direct manager to clear up this matter.

In November 2023, I purchased 4 new tires for my vehicle at RnR Tire. When I first called, I was quoted $208 per tire (before tax and fees), but when I arrived, the price on the ** was $242 per tire. Fortunately, I caught this disc***ancy, and the manager ***rinted the **. However, while the manager was fixing the form, the sales *** rushed me through signing the rest of the documents, assuring me the other pages would remain the same. Unfortunately, I trusted them, and that was my first mistake. The *** convinced me to use their payment plan, insisting it would make the purchase more affordable going into the holidays. Their "cash price" for the tires was $996, which I thought was reasonable at the time. Bi-weekly payments were set up automatically, and I went on with the assumption that everything was honestly Fast forward to August 2024when I realized they were still withdrawing payments from my account, and I had already paid over $1,400. Shocked, I went to the store, expecting this to be an honest mistake that could be easily fixed. Instead, I learned the payment plan I was talked into came with predatory terms that I was unaware of due to their rushed and misleading sales tactics.I asked to speak to a manager about this, as I felt the way they handled my situation was both dishonest and unethical. Conveniently, the manager was "unavailable" that day. I returned three days later and got the same story. Over the next few months, I called multiple times and stopped by the store 34 times, only to be told the manager was not available each time. As of today, January 2025, I have paid over $2,200 for tires with an original cash price of $996, and they are still withdrawing payments bi-weekly.RnR Tires practices are predatory and exploit those who may be in need of assistance. They used deceptive tactics to push me into a payment plan I didn't want, pressured me into signing paperwork without explaining the fine print, and have been avoiding me ever since.Business Response

It is true that we offer a wide array of payment options to fit a lot of different budgets. We do a very thorough job of explaining the options to each customer and letting them choose which one best fits them and their unique budget situation. Our least expensive payment option is 6 months same as cash which is a discount the customer would receive if they could pay the stated cash price inside of 6 months time. We lay out a plan to each customer who chooses that purchase method which details the payment they would need to make to successfully reach payoff in the 6 month time period. We as a company feel we are benefited when customers do make that proper 6 month same as cash payment but we do not force the customer to make that payment as we are not in control of their finances and we choose to be flexible with their choice of payment schedule. The pages we have a customer sign when they agree to purchase this way very clearly outlines their options and we go through that paperwork and even highlight the crucial parts of this agreement with appropriate explanation of these finer details. We truly do want each customer to know what their options are and how to go about buying for the least amount of money possible. This customer has signed every piece of the documentation i have mentioned and has paid us on time for each payment that i see having been made. While i feel no obligation in this circumstance to pay back any paid money, I would welcome a conversation with this customer to understand more about what might resolve this in their mind. I will remind them that they have had and continue to have the coverages associated with the choice they made to purchase this way. If my response is suitable to this customer, i will reach out directly in the coming days and see if we can come to a solution.

I am rejecting this response because: Based on the history above and the lack of follow up I have received thus far, I will not accept this response until I am actually reached out to, but would be more than happy to have a conversation which is what I have been trying to do for some time now. I truly do understand that your company policy is to layout each option appropriately and allow the customer to make an "educated" decision, but just because that is the standard, does not change my personal experience from that day/team working and I do feel as if I was swindled/manipulated into this process. As stated I have always paid and paid on time, I am not some person trying to get out of paying the value of the item I purchased, but this has gone on for an unreasonable amount of time.

On January 9, 2025 purchased a set of pre-owned wheels and a set of pre-owned Delinte Tires off the showroom floor. The wheels had visible damage at the time of purchase. But the tires were not thoroughly inspected. On January 28, 2025 I discovered a sidewall bubble close to the edge of the lip of the front drivers side tire. I immediately called the store explaining my safety concerns and they told me " You bought them cash as is".. I drove an average of 45 miles a day for the last 20 days and there is no reason why the internal integrity of the side wall should be damaged. I explained that I didn't impact anything to cause the internal damage. The rim nor the sidewall of the tire had not been hit. This was and defective issue. The salesman refused to make an effort to correct this safety issue. He merely said you can just buy another tire. I asked again " Are you guys in the business of selling safety defective products whether used or not is the issue. He refused to make an effort to correct, repair or replace the tire.Business Response

The customer came into our store and made a purchase of a set of pre-leased wheels and tires. The customer vehicle had been driven close 900 miles since the customer came back to our store. During our installation of the wheels and tires, the bubble was not noted within our shop software. After reviewing our shop photos from our shop software, we determined that we could not make a definitive answer on whether the tire had a bubble. We then called the customer back and told him we would exchange the tire. The customer came back to our store on 1/30/2024 and had it replaced. This matter has since been resolved.Customer Answer

On October 30, 2024 I drove 81 miles to have four tires installed on my 2014 GMC ******* After the tires had been installed I went to my truck and noticed after I turned the key that one of my tire sensors was not connected. Unfortunately the business was closed the moment I walked out with all the lights out and doors locked. Also I realized I did not get a receipt or any kind of paper work for the installation. On the way home the truck was vibrating while going down the road and shaking real bad. With no other choice but to continue the 81 miles home I did. The next day I called about my concerns and was asked to bring the truck back to be looked at but also was told that it was probably having those issues before the tire installments. Which it was not. I could not get back up there due to being busy and not having time that next day. Unfortunately a couple days later I was washing my truck and noticed that the right front tire was not installed properly and in fact in doing so my rim was slightly bent. This also the tire sensor issue was at. I have no response about these issues nor after at least three times asking for paperwork with the tires I still have no paperwork. On January 22, 2025 a lady from RNR Tire came to my residence and let the air out of all four tires of my truck and was done in freezing temperatures. This has risk of damaging tire and rim. This was done because of one miss payment. I refuse to pay for something that was not done and RNR Tire in ****** ** cannot even provide me with any paperwork showing anything about these tires. To add I do have photos that clearly show the issues stated above. I also have witnesses along with time stamped photos and video of said lady the day of all four tires being flat. This is a act of vandalism and very disturbing for a business and Im asking that the entire company be investigated after reading reviews of their way of doing business. RNR Tire Express needs to be accountable for their actions.Business Response

******* is currently 3 months late on his account. I remember when ***** put him on flat. She did try to contact him multiple times about his payment. As it pertains to the paper work, he could have gotten it at any point by asking me or when he came to store. He wasn't denied paperwork. No one was notified about a bent wheel. No way we bent a rim installing tires.
Per Corporate, Ive already addressed my team about flattening tires and moving to remove 1 tire if payments are late. I am rejecting this response because:
In no way has there been an attempt to solve the issue at hand. Also by law to flatten all four tires or any tires no matter of late payment it is illegal and it is a report on this matter of vandalism. Although it is it fact my personal property being damaged due to the fact it is my rims that hold the tires on. Furthermore I have asked for paperwork in question 3 separate times only to be told it would be emailed to me. For a person to also deny if another person bent a rim is ridiculous beings for one there is proof with a picture of the tire that was mounted behind a tire weight which in itself is very unprofessional and made it a unsafe situation. Also the local police and landlord are aware of this situation and ready in case of another attempt of vandalism of any kind.

However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
