1 starTook our dog in as we thought he was possibly bound up from eating something he wasn't suppose to and came out with over a $1000 bill and a diagnosis related to his skull absolutely nothing related to his gut. They might be good for finding something else wrong with your pet to try and scam more money out of you!Review fromBarbara F

1 starI took my 15 yo cat to blue ***** for dehydration. The cost was criminal but nonetheless I proceeded. Next day she was discharged. In 3 hours she threw up her pill twice. Took her back. They wanted another **** to re-admit. I couldnt believe it. I left. The girl had zero compassion or empathy. The attitude is you either pay or your pet dies. . Found another great vet with a hospital. In one visit my cat has turned around thanks to vitamins, paste and diet change. Blue ***** offered zero advice. This place preys on your heart and is criminal with its pricing. Will never refer or go back.Review fromDavid R

1 starFarewell to Lucky dog.My dearest Lucky. Thank you for the 15 years that you gave us. I am so sorry that your path crossed with BluePearl. I want you to know that we searched for you every day. On foot in the cold and rain. The humane society. We posted your picture on ******** and came across a wonderful community for lost animals. We searched the nearby animal shelters. Eventually it was the police department that helped us piece together what ultimately happened to you. You had been dropped off at the BluePearl hospital in ******. We were elated! We were going to get our Lucky dog back. We showed up at BluePearl to pick you up. All of us. The whole family. When we arrived, the seemingly unconcerned staff at BluePearl wouldnt even look at your picture when we explained that we were there to pick you up, but as we were to find out later that night, although you were only missing for three days, we were already three days to late. They didnt even have the backbone to tell us to our face that they had already killed you. No, we had to find out from the police later that night after we contacted them upon leaving BluePearl. Such despicable people. It seems Bluepearl doesnt take in strays. They just euthanize them on the spot instead. We never even had a chance to be re-united with you. Apparently theres no profit in it for them. Im so sorry, *****. Im sorry that I wasnt there in your final moments when the staff at BluePearl decided to take your life. I hope that as the light faded from your eyes that you didnt suffer too much by their hands. Your kind and gentle soul will be missed for a long time and will forever leave a hole in our hearts. Im so sorry that I let you down and you had to die at the hands of BluePearl. Im sorry you had to die alone. Thank you for those 15 years. You were my friend, my companion, my dog and a beloved member of our family. God bless you *****, ****, **, ****, **** and your *************************.Review fromWilliam B

1 starI arrived around 1:20 am on September 28th. We brought our labradoodle in due to kennel cough a few days earlier. She still wasnt eating and her breathing was had worsened. We were seen by a tech who checked her lungs, gums and checked temp. She said there were 3 critical patients being seen by doctors. There were also about 5-6 other animals in exams rooms as we made our way to the back exam room. This was due to the kennel cough issue. The tech stated that due to the critical patients that it may be a while for the doctor to see her. The tech said that they would be back every 2 hours to check her vitals and check in until the doctor came in to check. At approximately 5:30am the tech came in and apologized for the delay. She then said that it was a change in shift and that the next doctor will not be in for another 1 1/2 hours. I stated that this was unacceptable and that I understood that there were emergency patients but at least 1 person could have checked on us in those 4 hours. Every aka hospital should have a floor nurse or tech that can check on each patient, but no one came at all. I told that tech that our normal vet would open at 8am and is also a hospital. We only came there due to location and worry about her breathing. We ended up taking our dog to our normal vet later that morning and they ended up keeping her for 2 days due to pneumonia. I waited to write this review and hardly ever write reviews but this was unacceptable. This visit was after she had visited BluePearl on September 24th. On the 24th visit the tech did the same, checked breath, gums and temperature total 5 minutes, the doctor came in and checked breathing and gums. This session was also around 5 minutes. They also gave her 2 prescriptions (antibiotic and nausea) and 1 injections (anti nausea) this visit cost her over $500.Im not saying that they shouldnt be paid for their service but I do expect quality service.**********Review fromDorothy J

1 star******************************** in ******** ** did palette surgery on my fathers 12 month old English bulldog yesterday. The vet clinic released him today. At the time of release they only had one employee working up front. Within one hour of getting him home and settled in ********, he was dead. He stopped breathing. The vet in ******** who tried to revive him said his throat was severely swollen and that he never should have been released today. My father is devastated. That vet clinic was negligent.Review fromMary H

1 starI wish I could give this place negative stars. If you care about your animal DO NOT take them here. This place does not care one bit about their patients or their owners. The blonde tech with facial piercings should be fired. She had no empathy, sympathy or compassion for myself or my animal. She would also not let me see my animal or start treatment on my animal until they received money. The vet ********************** ******************* was also horrendous. She was extremely rude and any time I tried to ask questions or talk she talked over me and treated me like garbage. ***** who works at the front desk was also terrible. She told me I was lying about never seeing an estimate and has zero compassion or empathy to the animals being brought in as well as the people. Im not sure why either of these 3 employees have a job, especially a job working with people and animals. I spoke with every single person sitting in the waiting room the 5 1/2 hours I was there and not a single person had a good thing/experience to say in regards to this place. I will NEVER take my animal or recommend anyone to take their animal here. All the staff here only cared about money not the well being of the animals or owners. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!Review fromJenny M

5 starsUnfortunately my visit to Blue Pearl was to put my dog to sleep, but I am so appreciative of the great care we received. Staff was wonderful, I loved that they had a private exit for us to leave. After I received a sympathy card with condolences from the staff. And the cremation service was top notch as well. As horrible of a situation as it was, Blue Pearl was amazing.Review fromTonya H

5 starsOn 9/2/23 I took my boy Seal the cat here after a bad experience at ************'s newest veterinarian hospital. He had to endure another car ride to get to BluePearl after we abruptly left the other hospital but it was worth it. I should have taken him here first. At BluePearl he was treated like a number, put in a room and left without anyone communicating to me that "the doctor will be right in, she's behind" or anything. Here at BluePearl it was different. After a few minutes someone came in and had the courtesy to give me an update instead of keeping me wondering what was going on. I really appreciated that. It showed they not only cared but that they knew how to communicate like adults. Long story short, Seal is better and I'm happy. In another emergency I'll bring Seal back HERE again. They are also transparent on their pricing too which I loved because I don't have alot of money and the doctor discussed treatment options AND costs before procedures. Good people??Review fromLinda S

2 starsTook my pet for breathing issues. Sent home with meds and went on short list for appt sooner. Brought pet down and work up done. ******* later I was given antibiotics and steroid for pet and set up for appt with surgeon. They noted a fatty tumor which was exterior to rib cage, but no reason for breathing issues other than paralyzed vocal cord which is very unusual for cats. Took pet home and called my hometown vet and sent info which I ask tech to send and gave her fax and email and it never got there so I sent info I got from vet hosp. My vet asked if she could meow and she could so she said well its not paralyzed vocal cords. She gave us more steroid and said that cats could live on steroids for life. It was only a short time before we returned north so we made an appt immediately upon returning, she got anesthesia and the vet took x-rays and looked at her vocal cords which were stressed but normal. She showed us her x-ray and she had a cancerous tumor between her shoulder blades that was pressing on her trachea. It was inoperable so she just stayed under anesthesia and was put to sleep. Nothing was said in the medical work up from blue ***** referencing this. I am concerned this hospital sees how far in your pockets one will go for their pet. I put almost double what was charged on my credit card and was told it would be 3-5 days before my credit card would be refunded and it was five. I was really hoping the vet care was better than my health care in **.We do have a new pet with the understanding with our vet in our hometown for input and zoom if our pet gets Ill while we are in **.
