Luggage was broken into. $4000 paid of ********* binoculars stolen. Immediately notified Delta. They emailed back and said they are not responsible for baggage stolen on their flights. I will never fly Delta again.

Missed our connection because cleaning crew didn't clean airplane. Landed in *** at 11:45 pm. told to go to Delta Help Desk. Not given directions, finally found someone to tell us: take tram for 5 stops, get off at Gate A, take escalator up and go to right. Took 20 minutes, got to help desk, 13 people in line. Waited 35 minutes, its nearly ****, got re-booked for morning flight. Given voucher and reservation for Hotel. Walked for nearly 30 minutes to catch shuttle to hotel. Walk in hotel and they say "We are full, we have no rooms. You need to take the shuttle *******************" After nearly an hour, finally find our way to the Help Desk , again - now its nearly ****, a disinterested attendant says "TSA is really bad here, you might as well just sit in the airport for the night, cuz you will board at ****" We were entitled, by law to a hotel and food vouchers. HOTEL WAS FULL, AND EVERY VENDOR WAS CLOSED. We sat in the airport all night without even water. Got home 12 hours later than arrival time on the ticket we purchased. Horrible staff interactions and abuse of sending us to a full hotel

I have never written a review in my life. Because I realize that once something is put in the universe it is out there forever. However, I feel compelled to let the world know how I was treated by Delta Airlines. I have been a member of their frequent flyer program for 22 years. I have purchased first class tickets and have never asked for an upgrade. In 2021 I flew Delta so much that I achieved Platinum Status for 2022. Deltas Platinum status provides a number of regional upgrades as a reward for flying so much over the course of a year. In July I knew what my travel schedule would be for the remainder of the year so I purchased tickets to travel for September, November and my annual Christmas trip home. I used the certificates to purchase first class seats for my travel dates. Then on the day of my Christmas travel I printed out my first-class tickets and boarding passes for the trip. I reached out to Delta to confirm my seats. At that point I was told that I needed one more pass to have first class seats for my round trip travel. I was told the young lady that I purchased the tickets in June and I have my tickets showing my travel in first class and my seat assignments for the round trip. I was passed along from agent to agent and finally I was told that the agent who booked the trip made a mistake and I would either have to pay $1,100 or ******* air miles to use the ticket that I had printed out. I was outraged to say the least. Even though I was told by every agent that I spoke with that it was Deltas mistake and not mine. Reluctantly, I agreed to their demands and completed my trip however this episode left a really bad taste in my mouth and tarnished my opinion of Delta Airlines. For years I could have been flying US Air and landing in ******** which is closer to my family. However, I remained loyal to Delta because I liked their service. And I guess that is my fault because loyalty these days mean absolutely nothing these days.

I was waiting in line for baggage. Attendants were moving slow. Two people and a manager helping one group of people with issue with a dog. One lady, ******, looked right at me and then walked away from the counter. Came back and then told me I missed baggage cut off by 6mins. There was nothing she could do and her manager, ********, said the same. The plane was still boarding but they said call my travel agent, ****** Travel, because they couldn't touch anything. Didn't offer to call anyone, or try anything. The plane was still boarding and was even delayed 3 minutes. I called Delta customer service. They said there is nothing they can do, no empathy.I finally got a hold of ******* They said there was nothing they could do. They said tickets were locked by Delta. Delta said the same. I look up later and ******** is walking the dog. She told me she would try and get on standby for another flight but I'd have to pay $75/per person (2). I stated I'd let her know. I went back to counter, she wasn't there. ******* he'd switch me to a flight tomorrow. ****** transferred me to a manager to update hotel transfer. ******** changed the flight and told me I owed $150 or I could pay $600. She said my tickets were worthless after I was late. Come to find out, she adopted the dog at the counter from the people. Now, I'm on standby and not leaving ****** until 7:10pm instead of 8:55am. I'm stuck at the airport on standby hoping for something better. This has been the worst airline experience. I had to cancel a non-refundable tour for today and another for tomorrow morning because I didn't think I was flying out until tomorrow. I spent the WHOLE day in the airport. This ruined our trip and all of our plans!

I gave Delta one star but they deserve no stars at all! I am a loyal Delta SkyMiles and Gold member. My family was flying on Delta Flight **** from *********** to ******* and were accompanied by our family Maltese puppy. On the flight to ***********, the attendants were extremely professional and our pet tolerated the trip extremely well. However, on the return flight to *******, the flight attendants wouldnt even allow us to open the bag to allow our puppy to breathe. She had been given an anti-anxiety medication on both ends of the trip as recommended by our veterinarian, which allows her to sleep throughout the entire flight (which she did on the initial flight). However, on the return flight, her inability to breathe as she was constrained to the pet bag was extremely harsh. The flight attendants on Flight **** were extremely unprofessional and did even allow us to open the bag slightly so our puppy could take a breath. She was whimpering and crying but the attendants showed no compassion. As a matter of fact, we were even reported to the supervisor (name of *****), by whom we were immediately met when we landed and deplaned. She was rude and condescending and proceeded to lecture us on the policies after a long and exhausting flight. This was a prime example of animal abuse and cruelty. Suffice it to say that Delta has now lost a loyal customer. They lack empathy, compassion, and are extremely unprofessional in dealing with their customers.

My husband and I have been with Delta for years and hoping Diamond this year- *************** medallion with a reserve card and put our entire business on it. I booked to Australia and paid for premium select at that time no availability for Delta One. On our return home we called Delta as on the way here we could not upgrade with miles or cash at the gate or prior. Today the agent, ******, on the phone said yes for ***** miles - ****** to *** but could not get the seats after redeeming miles and speaking to a supervisor, *******, and on an international call for 2 hours, 57 min we had confirmed seats 7B, 7C and she asked us to survey her- we did give her a good recommendation. I checked the app 5 min later and all miles rescinded and we were put to unassigned seats in main cabin. I have called back (3) times and getting disconnected and now on hold again- screen shots taken / awaiting another supervisor. I did file a complaint on Delta sight but the auto reply says it can take 30 days for a reply. We are hoping to get refunded on miles paid and back to original booking if they cant do what was promised in the receipts. Ive never had this happen ever. Im now talking to ******* from ************** - any one else happen to know who else to connect with? We are just stunned at the response

My last travel experience with Delta was a nightmare. The first leg of my trip was delayed because the aircraft was late arriving (not due to weather). I missed my connection - the last flight out that day. Nobody from Delta proactively reached out about rebooking, instead I had to speak with the Gate Agent who was clearly annoyed to be speaking with me. There was also no offer to provide overnight stay compensation - a hotel room became was an out of pocket expense they refused to cover.I received an email saying I was rebooked on a flight the next morning at 9:30 AM which required an additional leg in my trip, but at least got me to destination by the afternoon. I woke up preparing to head to the airport for my 9:30 AM flight and checked the app, but it showed that at some point (guessing 3 AM based on a baggage update), Id been rebooked on a different flight which left 90 minutes earlier. I never received an email with this change nor confirmed I accepted the different itinerary. Because I was basing my wake up on the 9:30 departure, I "missed" the flight, but my bag was put on it anyway. At the airport, a Ticketing Desk Agent told me the only option was a flight the next day, even though the party I was traveling with had been rebooked on a WestJet flight that same day with no issue (and there were PLENTY of seats). At one point, a Delta agent actually tried to blame me for missing the flight and tried to get me to leave because she had "other passengers to assist". My bag was delayed 2 days which was problematic because the entire purpose of my trip was to ski. I had to rent skis and get new snow gear, which I expected Delta to reimburse, but they were claiming I have to file with *******, who has been radio silent. My connecting flight home was delayed because the pilot was "stuck in traffic" which resulted in another missed connection, 7 hours in the airport, and another extra leg...the entire trip was a joke.

I have been a loyal Delta customer for many years for work and personal use with extremely few complaints. It's taken me awhile to cook off. I booked a Christmas flight with an extra leg and even treated myself to first class. I was so close to moving up to the next status level and this would make it happen. Weather changed things and they did re-book me, but I lost my extra leg on the trip. This left me short 198 miles to the next status. The response I received on December 30, was to just take a short flight somewhere to earn your miles! Really spend a couple hundred dollars to get the miles I lost because you and the weather changed things.I was happy they changed my flight easily 3 times in *******. I was patient with having to wait 45 minutes for the Uber service they provided that never showed, I was happy they reimbursed my other hotel that I had to drive to since they first sent me to a nasty hotel with no water. I'm still very unhappy that they could not give me 198 miles. I have yet to use my Delta Amex and will fly another airline for the time being. I'm extremely disappointed of the treatment to a loyal long, term customer.

I recently had a terrible experience with Delta Airlines. They canceled my flight without any warning or explanation, leaving me stranded at the airport with no alternative options. When I tried to call their customer service line to get help, I was put on hold for over an hour and eventually disconnected. After finally getting through to someone, I was told that there were no other flights available for several days and that I would have to wait until then to get to my destination. The representative was unhelpful and unsympathetic to my situation. To make matters worse, I was not offered any compensation or assistance with finding alternative travel arrangements. I had to spend hours on my own searching for other flights and ended up having to pay significantly more for a last-minute ticket.Overall, my experience with Delta Airlines was a complete disaster. Their lack of communication, cancellation without notice, and terrible customer service made for a stressful and frustrating travel experience. I would not recommend Delta Airlines to anyone and will be avoiding them in the future.
