1 starMy flight was delayed for 13 hours. I had to call in to speak with customer service rather than the on location help desk because it was international travel. The agent on the phone tried rebooking me for a different flight. She accidentally booked me for February 17th instead of December 17th. Obviously that wouldn't work considering this was a trip to attend a family members birthday party and visit other family for the holidays. So my agent booked me a flight for the wrong month, cancelled my other flight (which was delayed 13 hours so far) so when they started to board finally, I was not allowed on that flight. So I was then rebooked for a different flight set to depart another 12 hours later. I completely missed my mother in laws birthday party which was a very big deal to the family. The delayed flight part is frustrating, the no help on location part is frustrating, but things happen that's outside of control. The part where one of your employees booked the wrong flight that caused a whole mix of other issues. So far I have been given a $100 travel voucher as reciprocity, after hours of trying to contact a supervisor, and then being told I will have to contact corporate.. my name is ************************* please give me a shout at your earliest conveinence.Review fromRob P

1 starHave you ever heard of an airline losing your carry-on??? Well.... leave it to this incompetent group. After they forced me to check in my carry-on bag that I specifically chose to "carry-on" so my luggage couldn't get lost, I arrived at my final destination where I went to collect my bag and it wasn't put on the flight! WHAT??? Complete incompetence! I've called 4 times and gotten nowhere. They keep telling me the same thing-it's still in *******. "We're sorry...our apologies" Please.... I want results, not empty apologies. I had to go shopping just to fulfill my work obligations and wear the proper attire. I have at least 8 hours invested into retrieving my carry-on. Only thing I've received is empty apologies. Currently on hold because their website apparently doesn't recognize my reference number. My perception of Delta Airlines went from a 7 to a -15. 1 starDelta overcharged me $60 for pet tickets on both legs of my recent trip ($30 each way) and refuse to make it right. When I booked my ticket and communicated with an agent they told me it would be $95 each way (this was also the only price listed on their website). However, when I got to the airport I was told it was $125, at which point I had no choice but to pay it because it was too late and I was already at the airport with my pet. When I complained to Delta they told me that this was because I booked my plane ticket on February 17, 2022 and at that time the fee was $125. When I followed up with them with proof that I actually booked my flight on October 16, 2022, they then changed their reasoning and said it was because I used eCredits from a cancelled May 2020 international flight (due to COVID) to pay for this flight and that they had to charge me the previous pet ticket rate from 2020. However, this was not communicated to me by the agent who helped me *********** ticket (which they have a transcript of because we conducted it via Delta's chat service), who told me it would be $95. Nor was this previous $125 fee listed anywhere on their website. When I explained all of this to them -- that their own agent told me it would be $95 and that there was no way for me to have known I would be charged $125 because that is not listed anywhere on their website (which is where they directed me upon booking my ticket) -- they refused to refund me the $30 difference for each pet ticket. Delta never even acknowledged, let alone apologized, that their agent provided me with incorrect information (despite having proof). Furthermore, when I asked to speak to a different representative multiple times, they just ignored my requests and ultimately stopped responding to me entirely.Review fromCandy F

1 starDelta has to have some of the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Spent two hours on the phone to request a refund of a ticket on behalf of my brother in law - who is presumed deceased. They put in the request and I received an email two weeks later stating that "our schedule change is outside of our guidelines for refunding". Let me be clear - Delta's flight change is NOT the reason this refund was requested and the fact that the request stated a future credit could not be used because of a presumed death makes me think that it wasn't even actually reviewed by customer service. I called back and was told it would be almost a two hour wait so I requested a phone call back, where I spent another hour on hold to be told that that department can't help me and transferred me to the customer care team - where I spent another half hour on hold. Apparently a death certificate is needed but we don't have one because his body has not been recovered. The fact that Delta is doing nothing to help and creating more frustration is absolutely absurd. I understand high call volumes, I understand company policy, but when there are no options to get to the right person and it's an extenuating circumstance, there has to be a better option. I truly hope that what my family is going through right now is never experienced by anyone on the Delta team, but if it is - I hope you receive better customer service and help than we have.Review fromLeAnn K

1 starCompletely unprofessional!I understand holiday times can be tough for airlines. Yet I fly ***** times a year and have never experienced such incompetence.I tried to book a specific seat to address my recent orthopedic injuries. ***** nearly 40m waiting and a half an hour conversation the Delta rep informed me that she couldnt address my needs because it was a partner (Korean Air) run flight. Then, after 50m waiting with Korean Air, I was told that they were unable to address my issue (though Korean Air quickly and professionally mitigated the request on the second leg of the flight where they had access). Korean Air reps told me that his is a RECCURING issue with Delta who refuse provide access to their code-sharing system. This results in customers constantly wasting hours calling Korean Air to address Delta's incompetence. So I called Delta's codesharing department (another 65m wait) only to b told they have no access to the flight seats I needed. Already comical in their incompetence. Not to be outdone, at the same time, I have been chatting with reps. ***** and hour and a half wait and subsequent conversation, I was transferred to a supervisor. I'm still waiting for him. It's been 1 hour and 57m at the moment. I understand booked seats. I understand being unable to upgrade (of course I offered to pay). But wasting hours of my time in complete ignorance and incompetence is unacceptable. I'm a frequent flyer. A law firm partner who has authorized hundreds of flights on Delta and its partners. Today, while dropping check bags at *** in *********, Aja, the attendant, greeted my wife and I with humor and a smile while also handling our check in extremely quickly. 1 starDelta Airlines canceled my flight on Christmas Eve and in Christmas day and totally ruined my family Christmas plans.Staffing shortage is a lame excuse for a company that makes lot of profits.in my opinion it is not being prepared for unseen emergencies and not owning problems. 1 starThe website does not allow to book a ticket for anyone under 15. States you have to speak with an agent. Three times holding for over an hour on their messaging finally get an agent. It takes 5-7 min for him to respond to my question each time. Then tells me he is going to transfer me to another agent that can help me. Now im.suddenly on hold in the que yet again. 34 min wait it states. Finally get a new agent and he is faster on responding but tells me the evoucher i have cant be used to pay the fee for the inaccompanied minor. This is not stated anywherr in the terms and conditions on the voucher. It states it is valid for all fares, taxes, fees and surcharges. One why did the first agent not state this. Secondly the unaccompanied fee is not listed as excluded under the terms. It appears they twist and manipulate their fees to their benefit. I read the fine print, maybe they need to. 1 starDelta airlines is refusing refunds on the return trip of a round trip flight. The flight out was canceled due to the weather in PNW. Im active duty military and due to the cancellation I was unable to see my family for Christmas. An added punch in the face came when they decided to keep my money for the return flight because that part didnt get canceled. They are blaming Expedia. (Expedia is also refusing to help) I intend to get the *** involved for my refund, but no money can buy back my leave days and holiday lost due to this next level BS. Thank you delta for your support for our troops!
