1 starI booked a flight months ago and 5 weeks before our trip my flight was changed by 5 hours, having me arrive to my destination at midnight. When looking up flights on their website our original flight was still available. I called and spoke to someone she stated should change my flight but the first flight from ********* to ******* was full. I told her I currently have seats on that flight I just needed by flight from ******* to ******* changed to an earlier flight. She then stated that she could not do that due to having to book both flights and their were no seats left from ********* to *******. They changed my flight to a cheaper flight to then sell my original seats at a higher cost. I could go online and change it but I would have to pay an extra $510 for my original flight that I had already booked and paid for. This is not right!Review fromPatricia M

1 starTo begin my complaint I would like everyone to notice deltas responses to every review below as I do not see one. This in and of itself speaks volumes about the company. My husband and just took our dream vacation to **** and a Mediterranean cruise. On the the flight out our flight was rescheduled numerous times. My husband and I didnt even end up sitting together on the 8 hour flight from nyc to ****. We were delayed an entire day which cost us a $400 per night hotel room and &200 city tour tickets to *********** and now on our return trip here we go again. Sitting in **** after another 6 hour delay which will cause us to miss our connection In ******* and another over night This is our last trip on delta. No one here seems to care. They just keep saying check into ******* when we get there to try to reschedule our missed flight. Meanwhile 6 of our friends are well on there way home on American Airlines. Oh and kicker. When we asked if there was a delta sky miles lounge so we could rest during this latest delay they told us we could only use it if we had their **************** Card. 1 starDelta Air Lines Customer Service is the lowest standard possible. I was left stranded at an airport, promised a hotel voucher which they over booked. Talked to multiple customer service agents and no one would help. I logged a complaint online and was told I would hear from someone in 30 days..almost 90 days later I received a response. The response did not satisfy the extreme hardship and emotional distress that Delta caused me. The answers received are almost robotic, I asked to speak to someone else or have someone call me and they refused. Thanked me for being persistent about my issue and stated that the conversation would not go any further as the supposed resolution would not change. Thanks Delta.Review fromBrian B

1 starWhat happened on 25 October, 2022 was, by far, the worst customer experience Ive ever ****** just with an airlineby any company. We had an amazing trip and journey to our destination, but our return was just a spiral into chaos, cancellations, delays, and poor treatment every step of the way. We were flying from AMS-CLT with a connection in BOS. Our original arrival time was 22:27 on 25 October, 2022. The actual arrive time after everything said and done was 08:40 on 26 October, 2022. Thats a delay of 10 hours and 13 minutes after our original arrival timeand with bumps and bruises at nearly every step of the way. What we wanted was to get home early as scheduled or get a full night of sleep in preparation for work the next day. What we got was neither. We didnt get to bed until 1:15AM on 26 October, 2022, and we had to get up at 05:00 to catch our next flight home the same morning. We arrived at 08:40 and got home at 9:15AM after taking an Uber. And we were on less than 4 hours of sleep. We were pretty much useless the entire day. The day was a wash and we lost an entire day of productivity because we didnt get home on time nor get a full night of sleep. My partner and I work at a rate of $100 an hour. Thats a full $800 worth of productivity lost in a day for each of us due to sleep deprivation, poor service and a 10+ hour arrival delaya total of $1600 total of lost productivity for the both of us combined. We also had to pay for an extra night of sitting for our pets which amounted to an additional $80. Heres everything that transpired in bullet points. Overall, we both believe that when the going got tough on Deltas end, our experience with Delta got poorer. It was just a repeat of bad treatment on top of bad treatment as soon as we landed in ******. The handling of our flights were poor, and comfort compensations for the poor handling were honestly disgusting and felt like a slap to the faceespecially for someone with status.Review fromAbel A

1 starBooked a round trip 1st class 3 months in advance, and ended up getting bumped out of it for no reason. Call Delta airlines to see why. After not getting a reason I had to rebook it which took over 2 hours to do. Originally my flights was only two flights. After having to rebook it became 3 flights. (The original flight I had booked which I was bummed out still flew out.) My flights were supposed to be 1st class (because that's what I paid for) all the way, and that didn't happen. My return flight was delayed which made me miss my second flight. Having to book me on a totally different airline on economy. Called into Delta and was told to call back, and ask to speak to a supervisor which I did. When I did call back I was told I couldn't speak with a supervisor, and the only thing they could do is give me a refund for the flight that weren't in 1st class, and that someone would contact me in 5-7 days which never happened. I had to call back after the 7day and was told they couldn't do anything. So now I have to wait 45 days to get a refund with no compassion for all the trouble I have to go through. Delta airlines have been the worst airline I have traveled with, and treat there customer with zero respect with little to nothing of compassion.Review fromCole E

1 starCustomer service was unhelpful and very rude. It took them over two months to respond to me. After that, I tried explaining my situation and they responded with a generic runaround answer. I attempted to clarify my issue again with their customer service but they responded by saying that they would no longer respond to me going forward. I am not sure how a customer service representative can respond by telling me they are no linger going to reply to my emails when they are there to help resolve the issue. 1 starI am a platinum member and I have reached out to Delta over a dozen times as there has been fraud on my kids accounts. I cannot get anyone at Delta corporate to respond to my multiple emails. When I call the 800 number the reservations people cannot help me. However Delta is no longer answering their corporate 800 number and insist you send an email instead. That is horrible that you cannot talk to a human being. I have followed the proper channels and submitted an email with my complaint and I still have not heard back from anyone. 1 starI bought a ticket from Delta Airlines in return to home from work and that was because I was notified that my wife and youngest son tested positive from COVID-19 and they need someone to stay with them and help them throughout their sickness period. I paid little extra money on my ticket because I just have to arrive earlier. However, There were lots of traffic at JFK which is definitely not my fault and by the time I arrived at the gate, the door was just closed because we were sitting on the runway for almost 40 minutes. I went to the Delta costumer services desk and ask if there is any other plane that would leave the same night, they said that there is no more flight for the rest of the night and that I have to stay overnight and take the next morning flight back home. I asked the customer service people what to do at this point and it was about 7:00 pm, they said that we gave all hotel voucher away and we have no way to send you to a hotel and you can stay here at the airport until 7:00 am the next day. I put my bag-back under my head and tried to sleep but I couldn't whatsoever. I contacted Delta airlines and asked for compensation for the price that I paid for the ticker to take me home then I spent the night "on the floor" and didn't offered a hotel by Delta as customer who paid to purchase a ticket then spent the night in the airport. The costumer agent (*********************************** - Customer Care Supervisor) she offer twice $50 as "courtesy" and to compensate my night sleeping "on the floor"! I won't accept other than taking a full refund which was little over $200. This is not acceptable service nor secure service to be provided to people who paid to be served properly. What made me upset is the supervisor who kept playing with the words and statement and asked me you could have gone to a hotel and asked us for reimbursement later! What kind of game is that? 1 starI recently Travelled from ***** to ******** and I had horrible experience. It was extremely rude and negligent behavior of Delta crew. The flight was full and they handpicked me only to seat next a person who required 2 seats. That man was whole in my seat. Whole flight I was unable to even breath. I complain about the seat and they assured me they will change but next moment flight started taking off. Since the flight was full that doesnt mean I have to suffer. Im 30 year women, that men was all over me and delta crew made me seat next to him : I cried like anything . I will never fly in Delta. I think it was racism. They changed already one person and last moment made me seat. Please be aware of this ! If you are not a frequent flyer with Delta , then you wont get proper treatment.Review fromTess K

1 starI have waiting on a refund for a flight that Delta delayed for six hours in July. They then said they could get me to my connecting airport that night at 12 midnight but that I would need to spend the night in the airport as even though this was a crew issue, they didn't need to put me ** in hotel. I cancelled the flight and bought a new one for ****** for very early the next day. I then spent 300 in lyfts getting back and forth to ***/*** in order to not lose my job on my return. I have written Delta three different times and have called six times only to be put on hold for over an hour each time. Delta needs to take responsibility for their crew issues, etc. The customer service at the flight desks couldn't be more discourteous. I am shocked at the fact that this airline still charges more than any other. Delta is a disgrace.
