      I am filing this complaint regarding Safe-Guard Products Internationals denial of my GAP insurance claim (Claim #********). My vehicle was totaled in a rear-end collision caused by another driver, and the police report clearly indicates the fault lies with that party. While the driver of my vehicle was cited for ***, the responding officer stated that a reckless driving citation was added solely as a procedural requirement under North Carolina law. There is no evidence that the driver caused or contributed to the accident.Safe-Guard denied my claim citing Illegal Acts without demonstrating how these actions caused the loss, and has threatened to cancel my contract if I do not accept their decision. I have submitted a formal appeal with all required documentation, including the accident report, insurance settlement, and contract. I request that Safe-Guard reconsider the claim based on the facts and honor its contractual obligations. If a resolution cannot be reached, I will be forced to pursue further action through state regulatory channels.

      I am formally rejecting the denial of my GAP claim (#********) issued by Safe-Guard Products International. The stated reason for denialreferencing Illegal Acts and Addendum 4(B)is not supported by the contract, law, or facts of the case. There is no valid exclusion that justifies withholding payment on this claim, and all required documentation was submitted in full compliance with the agreement.

      Please refer to the "attached detailed rebuttal letter" for a comprehensive explanation, including supporting legal grounds and evidence. I respectfully request immediate reconsideration of my claim to avoid further legal and regulatory action.

      I am rejecting this response because: Safe-Guards response to my GAP claim denial. The reasoning provided in the letter dated July 1, 2025, is not supported by the accident report, the facts of the case, or applicable legal standards. Safe-Guard has not provided any legal documentation of a conviction, nor has it demonstrated that the alleged illegal conduct by the driver of my vehicle caused or contributed to the accident. Furthermore, the driver was not at fault, as indicated in the accident report, which further invalidates the application of Addendum 4(B).
      Safe-Guards current position represents an overreach and misuse of policy exclusions, and I have submitted complaints to multiple consumer protection agencies as a result. I ask that Safe-Guard reconsider its position and review the full explanation provided in the attached letter.

      Purchased and insurance policy, protect the key fob paint and wheel tire of the car. When I go to submit a claim, I get endless voicemail. When someone does answer the phone, they say that its not something they can help me with that. I need to talk to another division of their company. Ive been on the phone over an hour and a half trying to sort this and I have ended up nowhere, including talking to supervisorsat this company. This company is too big. Its owned by **********************. It needs to be investigated. Please contact one available.

      I have been trying for some time to get them to release funds for my GAP coverage. I have given them everything I got from my insurance company. The bank has too, and they keep rejecting items like the police report which we received redacted. They want an unredacted copy and SAPD said too bad. I can't make the police un-redact their report, this is a bs stall tactic because you people don't want to pay out on my GAP. I have been more than patient, and your staff was very rude on the phone, too. This is my last effort before I start talking to an attorney. Release the funds.

      Money has been paid into GAP insurance for the total of the vehicle. ALL required documents have been submitted. The company portal showed a Benefit Summary on 05/17/25 and we were told the check was issued that very day and to expect 10ish business days. 05/17/25 was a Saturday. I didn't not start the clock until Monday 05/19/25 and I also accounted for Memorial Day. Tuesday June 3 was business day 11. The financial institution was not reflecting payment. Safeguard could not provide ANY answers as to what the delay was, nor could they escalate to higher powers. I was eventually told that a check was issued but it was VOIDED, but no information available as to when and why. The collision was March 5, 2025. Today is exactly 3 months. The claim date for GAP is 03/30/25...we're now approaching 2.5 months with ZERO resolution or explanation as to what is still pending(if anything, which again has not been stated). At this point SafeGuard has stolen our money. This is theft, and with the questionable voided check, I dare say potential fraud, (of some kind). This claim should have been resolved WEEKS ago/ a MONTH ago. Our money will be considered stolen by SafeGuard until the matter is resolved.

      My motorcycle was deemed a total loss by my insurance 3 months ago. Since then my insurance has paid out the total value of the bike, I have GAP insurance with Safeguard. However Safeguard is refusing to pay the remaining balance by falsely stating that the documents are incomplete or the wrong ones. I have provided the exact documents they required and even uploaded them here to prove it. They are just giving me a run around in order to not pay. I have had correspondence with one of their employees and even they do not understand why it continuously is being denied due to the same reasons that were rectified. The first denial was because I only had 1 page of the loan contract, not all 4, even though the other 3 pages were just fine print and had nothing to do with the loan itself, I got all 4 pages and uploaded them, it was accepted. Then I was told I did not submit the full police report, I did, that was a lie, but re submitted. Now they are saying that I am missing all the pages of the loan contract yet again, which was originally the issue and was fixed, but here I am again. I firmly believe, after reading numerous other complaints, they are trying to elapse the time in order not to pay the remaining balance as they have done before.

      No documents were missing. As I said, they are being rejected for no reason, I have provided, multiple times, the full loan contract that the bank has sent me that I filled out when I bought the motorcycle. It is not the same as a car it is a smaller contract. Safeguard is refusing to pay on no solid grounds. I have re submitted my loan contract 4 times and it is continuously rejected. I have also sent a copy to thr BBB to prove it is the full contract with all pages.

      Purchased excess wear and tear coverage with my lease for $1,500. Had a claim of $438 upon return on my lease and had the hardest time reaching anyone at this company. After reaching the *** team, I provided all applicable documents and did not receive a response. After following up multiple times I was falsely informed I needed to provide additional documents. This went on for weeks, and the company did not respond to me until I threatened legal action. When they did respond, they paid less than the amount for which my claim was filed, again, falsely. I requested the remaining $150 for a missing key (explicitly covered under this warranty) be paid to ****************, and instead of paying it, they requested **************** remove the charge from my account, which they have not done. This company is a scam, fraudulent, and downright deplorable. I will ensure that everyone I come in contact with in my life refrains from doing business with this absolutely awful business.

      I submitted a warranty claim on 5/16 and did not hear back from Safe Guard. On the way to work 5/27/2025, at 630am my car over heated right before *********, ** exit. The tow service got there at 1030am to take my car to Christian ***************** They informed me the gasket was fractured and coolant was entering engine as the root cause. They also submitted claim, ***** at ********* ******** waited on phone for an hour before she was hung up on 5/27/25. 5/30/2025- Claim denied, due to reason of failure, saying I ignored engine light for 8K miles even though Ive had car serviced and looked at (see windshield sticker photos) and no service technician finding/issues until recently. They ignored my first claim attempt and calls(5/16)and then the issue grew bigger. Without my transportation to work and provide, ultimately for family and freshman college year for Daughter, this is a blow to the household.

      We purchased an extended powertrain warrantee from Safe-Guard when we purchased our used car. A month later, the car radically overheated, a covered hazard under the warrantee. In addition, the car had developed transmission issues. We had the car (2013 ******* ******** towed to the dealership we had purchased the warrantee from (assuming that the relationship between vendors would expedite repairs). The car has now sat at the dealership for 105 days, while Safe-Guard refuses to make the repairs due to a minor *explainable* technicality regarding pre-sale preparation invoice line items/charges. Safe-Guard has slow-walked the claim, verging on bad-faith dealing and has had no voluntary contact with me or my wife regarding this situation. We continue to not have use of the car, putting us in considerable hardship, as my wife is a cancer patient and has had daily radiation appointments.We just want our car fixed.

      This is for GAP insurance, and I submitted original paperwork on Feb 10th, 2025. Gap said a ploice report had been filed which it was not and on April 3rd I submitted a letter from **********, CA police department stating no police report at been filed. I was told at that time the claim was already with an adjuster and payment should be made within a week. It has been 6 weeks and no updates from SAFEGUARD,. I called today and they said they have been backed up. I used their virtual assistant as well and it said after all paperwork is submitted payment should be made in 7-10 business days. Their website says they are busy and backed up so it will 2-3 weeks for payment. Again I am now on 6 weeks and feel like I am just getting the run around. They told me today to check back at the end of the week.

      I have a FIVE (5) year warranty on my vehicle protection plan and SAFE-GUARD does not want to honor the FULL protection plan. I have the Premier Ultimate Vehicle Protection Plan. My coverage does NOT state partial coverage for tires and rims, SAFE-GUARD ONLY WANT TO COVER ONE (1) TIRE. SAVE-GUARD SAYS MY TIRES ARE NOT COVERED FOR THE PLAN. I HAVE NOT LOCATED THAT IN MY CONTRACT.
