      I have a credit card account ending in #**** I have barely used and only used it to establish and build credit. In February my wife and I received a call while getting ready for a snowstorm in ************* that my card was used for about 70 somewhat dollars is ***********!!! A nice sunny place while we are freezing and getting ready for back to back snowstorms during a hectic week! We spoke to someone who we thought was helping us and was nice my wife mentioned during the call we had a friend going to *********** or who had gone to *********** and we never gave it a second thought. The remark that is! 70 dollars the representative said was attempted to be used! Which was a lie my card which was never used for more than 150! Is currently at over 600 dollars because I was the victim of a. Time someone used my card information and because my wife said we knew someone who had gone to *********** or was going they have denied my case and refuse to help me in this abuse of power! Mean hope someone had a ball in the sun while I worked my tail off to care for my disabled, sick wife! He said 70 dollars but my card was used for over 600 something that was never done and it was used in this manner in less than 72 hours but they dont see that as fraud! They fail me and my family and they refuse to help! I want this account to be cleared I did nothing wrong I am the victim I can show I worked and have my direct deposit for that week of my work earning a and can get a letter from my job but they say I am liable please someone from the higher up help me because that nice guy is not nice and he said it was only 70 dollars! He is not nice at all and calls are recorded just because my wife says we might know someone who is puertorican and who might go there doesnt mean that person is a thief who doesnt know a puertorican American? We live in a predominantly ******************* We are victims and we should be helped not passed judgment on!

      I took out a line of credit to purchase some furniture. I was told that I would not pay interest if paid off by 12 months. I was told my payments would be a certain amount and that if I made those payments it would be paid off in time. I called the company and they told me the same thing. The representative told me my last payment was ***** and that would be the end of my payments. When I got my last statement it said I owed over ****** in interest and that I went past the 12 month deadline. I am on a fixed income and thought I was paying it before the 12 month period according to the representation I spoke to. Is there a way for me to not have to pay the interest?

      I never activated my credit card after it was recieved and seeing what they were gonna charge me me in additional fees each year and to use. I destroyed the catd ad now they are seeking money when it was never activate d or used. They tried to tell me it was for applying and I have never heard of that in my life and it is BS.

      I have a complaint and requests to remove a delinquent account from my ********************** report from a company named *******. Through investigation, I found out that this company is a part of a company named Atlanticus, out of *******. In August 2024 I was misled by a company named ****** Smart Home sales representative. ******* is a third-party company ******. I wasn't notified that Fortiva was billing me until several months later. ******* has opened a credit card in my name for $4,000 without my knowledge

      Dear BBB,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Fortiva, the credit provider associated with ***************, regarding misleading information about my credit agreement and unexpected billing increases.Background:In March 2024, I was approved for a $2,000 credit line with ******* to purchase a couch set for $1,390.92. The sales representative assured me that the financing included no interest for a full year. However, at no point did the representative clarify that the agreement also included accrued interest and an annual interest rate that would apply thereafter.Current Situation:Despite my efforts to pay more than the minimum payment, I have recently received a statement indicating that my balance has increased from $800 in February 2025 to $1,080 in March 2025. This is a significant and confusing increase, especially given my understanding of the terms of the credit agreement.Concerns:1. **Misleading Information:** I believe I was not adequately informed about the full terms of the financing, particularly regarding accrued interest and annual interest rates.2. **Unexpected Charges:** The increase in my balance despite consistent payments raises concerns about the clarity and transparency of Fortivas billing practices.I request that the BBB investigate this matter and help facilitate a resolution.
