      I called to cancel my account because you get charged a fee every year $30 and I was no longer going to use there credit card anymore. The person closed my account but did not stop the renewal fee and now I owe $86 even though I closed the account before the year fee was due! They called me today but I didnt answer. I looked up the number and saw it was Fortiva. I called back and they told me that the person I closed the account with did not stop the fee. Then she proceeded to tell me that instead of $86 she would lower it to $60. Ridiculous! Fortiva should not be in business as they take advantage of the people.

      Fortiva credit card company closed my account prematurely after I missed a payment caused by a job change that changed my pay period of when my funds wiuld be available. I reached out via phone advising them I would make good on any balance which i paid in full by September of 2022. I recently inquired about my account and was advised my card account was closed in August of 2022 a month earlier. This company does not not provide adequate time for response nor do they acknowledge or consider their customers past payment history. Terrible customer service!

      Complete trap no ethics. I was late on a couple times but I always covered it the following payments , well I thought I was making payments but they all went to interest and fees. And my last two attempts to make payments to build back my credit I found out that they have terminated my credit as charge off without even notifying me and was still taking my money and charging fees and interest as I speak.

      I have a complaint ******* used fortivia so I could pay for a security camera system my account has been paid off over a year and this company without my permission used my info to apply for a new credit card without my consent I was only aware ** Experian sent me a alert I want something done about this ** this is illegal

      Would love to leave a 0 rating but not possible. I had opened a Fortiva card (don't remember why!) I got an e*mail saying I needed to pay a $25.00 payment. That's fine, BUT I had to go to their website to find an address to mail it to since they set me up with e*mail billing! I don't do that * I pay through the bank bill pay. I set it up online, and paid the $25.00 to the address that was on their website. Kept watching my account to see if it went through * it hasn't. That was on July 31st, and it's August 12th. Called them this morning, and got absolutely no assistance whatsoever. Couldn't/wouldn't help me * said that I had to get the information from my bank saying that the bill had been paid. I told them that there wasn't any way to do that, that my bank says it was sent out on the 31st, and that THEY needed to contact their office in ******, **, not me. I will be cancelling this credit card as soon as I can. Learned my lesson * don't sign up for these "fly by night" credit cards again. I have good enough credit rating without adding any more problems.

      They closed my $3000 credit line that I had open for three years and gave me a $2000 credit line, which became a new line of credit and an additional line of credit on my credit report while I was in the middle of buying a house and I declined the offer for them to switch the card to a new card. I told them that I needed to keep everything as it was, and that I could not have anything hit my credit and I could not have a new card and then I could not lose an old card that I had kept for so long in good standing never had one payment late and they did it anyway , so I am very upset and being a single mom trying to buy a house and I may not qualify to be able to buy my house on my own now due to their decision to do what they want with my accounts because your credit report has so many different aspects that affects the bottom line of your numbers Im very very upset.

      My ******** bought furniture at Bobs Furniture through Fortiva. We paid off the furniture and then received bills to keep the account active.Several calls to finally close the account and now we receive letters threatening us to report our non payment for NOTHING !!!!What a poor company and our fight continues. STAY AWAY FROM FORTIVA.

      Make you pay with late **************** fee's when it's there fault.My husband and I have an account with *******. I thought at the beginning that the accounts came under one so I started paying one not knowing about the other until my husband handed me an envelope and ask me to pay it bc it was late. I told him that I already paid them. Later another day I noticed that the one he gave me had his name on it so I called to explain what happened. I paid late fee but was unaware of interest fee's.(never heard of that) Also at the beginning I didn't know who they were and that ****** was totally separate. ****** explained to me that they was the service and Fortiva was the equipment. A bit much from all of the problems that we had from the very beginning with the equipment. My husband started out with $2000.00 which in a years time we paid *******. His balance as of now is *******, only ****** was applied on the account from payments from July 2022 to July 2023. Difference of ****** extra ******* wants us to pay for late and interest fee's. On mine they took double payment and the reason why my husbands account was messed up is because they had changed it to my name so my name was on both accounts as the owner of the accounts. *******'s making us pay for the mistake that they made. Last month June 2023 They just fixed it by putting my husbands name back on the rightful account that belongs in his name. We should not have to pay for there mistake. They rip people off which is not right and they don't work with you even when the situation or error is on there end. Totally not right.Date of experience: July 2022 to July 2023

      Absolutely terrible service and incompetent customer service. After this company wasting 2 hours of my time, I just had them close my account. Not worth the hassle.
