      I went to buy a dishwasher. I had Equifax credit monitoring and my husband had IDX. Equifax never alerted me of the purchase but IDX alerted my husband right away. Was I really protected by Equifax?I have canceled Equifax..I wish they were better service.

      For a very long time I have been dealing with Equifax web site My Equifax every single time I need to go on it, it tells me that my account is locked call a number and when I do call the number, I go through a stringent verification process. They send you a link for a picture of your driver's license and every time it doesn't work right so then they try another process by asking questions they say are from your credit report and if you don't know one of them, they can't help you. Everyone doesn't remember a lot of old things that are on their credit report so it should be another way, I go through this each and every time I need to look at my credit report and I have complained to them each time nothing is being done.

      I sent 2 letter to Equifax to remove inaccurate information on my credit report, and the wrong information is still on my credit report, also i since learned that Equifax had several data breaches.these employees at equifax do not care and all they do is sit around and collect a pay check that they didn't even earn.

      Equifax is a joke ! You have a supervisor that does nothing but sit in the side rooms on the floor all day. Doesn't help her team and has THE NASTIEST attitude. During the training for the new Atlanta team that started in August, she stayed on her personal cell phone all while having access to private information. The authentication method when you call is a joke, you're almost guaranteed to fail. None of the agents can genuinely assist you, just transfer to Tier 3.....lol.

      I am a victim of identity theft due to the Equifax data breach. My rights were violated. My privacy was violated, and I was deceived. This company failed to secure my personal information on their computer networks and now all of my information has been compromised. Time and money has been lost and spent as a result of my data being compromised. I have missed out on opportunities to secure credit. Time has been spent missing work, traveling to the police station, filing a police report, submitting a report to FTC, reading court documents, articles, & legal notices. Hours upon hours have been spent ordering consumer reports, checking for inaccurate information with consumer reporting agencies, freezing reports & opting out of the selling my information, and taking consumer education courses to learn how to restore my identity. I have traveled back and forth to the post office, library, and *** to mail and print supporting documentation for my claim. It is unbelievable the amount of effort and work I have to put in due to the company's lack of cyber security protection. So much mental and emotional damage has been done and knowing the cyber thieves still haven't been caught leaves me feeling helpless, isolated, and depressed.

      This company is incompetent and should not be in charge of peoples credit rating or information. They have gotten sued by millions of people as that is the only way to deal with them, since all you can do is comment on Better Business Bureau and give bad rating, if you are having issues with them file a law suit which is only $100. Take these idiots to court and get the results that way and up to $7500 compensation if you have a valid claim.

      Equifax is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with, they called me a liar when I submitted documentation of a settlement made through ********************/************** that the creditor agreed to the settlement amount and payment dates. Equifax told me I forged the documents and that I needed to contact the creditor myself I was hung up on multiple times, and at one point when I was on hold a lady came on the line and stated I had exceeded my hold time and told me I had to call back and sit on hold and they then hung up on me! I do not think Equifax is working under ** laws or even in *****************. I contacted their corporate number and it is disconnected, then I called the ******* office, the receptionist stated she was located in ******* but when I got to the 7th "customer **********************" person with broken English I asked them if they were located in ***************** they refused to tell me if they were in ******* (multiple people would not verify they were in the **). Why is it a secret if they are located in *****************? They are supposed to correct our credit reports and they told me on my report and on the phone that they contacted the creditor and they were reporting correctly but when I get my Transunion report it is a different reporting completely an the issue is resolved. I am a consumer and what gives them the right to call me a forger of documentation?? So unprofessional! They need to be put out of business I guarantee their call center is not in the ** and all of our private confidential information including all government employees (as everyone has a credit report regardless) and they could jeopardize our entire countries financial information!!! They are extremely lazy and don't seem to want to do their job which is to fix inaccurate information. I have filed a complaint with the Consumer *************************** and hopefully they eliminate this unprofessional company that holds all our financial information.

      So credit reports are free in ******, but to cancel your Equifax subscription (which comes with the credit report), you must call the service center, which took me almost 40 minutes. After providing all sorts of financial details that required me logging into various accounts, I was finally able to cancel my subscription, though they tried to hard sell me a 'discounted' subscription until I the end. Why do they make it so difficult to cancel their subscription? Because this company is taking advantage of people who have few choices when it comes to credit scores & reporting. The ******** government should step in and require that companies like Equifax don't prey on people who are simply trying to deal with something as sensitive as credit scores.

      Horrible, untrustworthy. Won't do their job. Ask them to look into a creditor using fraudulent numbers on my credit report, they did nothing and said call the creditor. Shut this corrupt and useless credit report agency down. They are frauds themselves

      *** tried so many times to get help, i cannot get my address disputed & changed to reflect my new address no matter how many times i do it online. it keeps showing the same error "unable to complete your dispute." so after calling in 3 times, i tried messaging equifax on ********* they said they escalated my issue to their "executive resolutions team" and for me to wait 5 business days for a response. its past 5 business days and nobody has reached out to me or followed up. this is an unacceptable & terrible company that has no ounce of reliability.
