      Absolutely horrible experience. I couldn't use the online portal to create an account to freeze my **********************, so I called the number. THIRTY MINUTES, and it refused to give me a HUMAN. It said it couldn't verify my identity using the prompts, which is understandable because the prompts are completely UNUSABLE. The keypad doesn't work, and it does not pick up your voice, so that wasted 10 minutes, and then it took another 30 minutes on hold and I had to give up because it was taking too long and I have work. This should not be legal to have the online portal AND the phone options, the only options they offer, not work

      With the recent SSA data breach, I decided to freeze my credit reports, I was successful with no issues with Experian and TransUnion via online, however I just not able to do it with Equifax, I just cannot log in and keeps on locking my account, when calling via phone, the automated system is broken and Im unable to talk to anyone, so I gave it up.This company should be held liable for any person that is not able to freeze their account to protect themselves. In the case my credit is compromised and Im damaged financially, I will likely pursuit a lawsuit.

      I submitted a security request freeze for two of my minor children via the mail. I paid for certified mail (with confirmation of receipt). The mail included a copy of a birth certificate for both children, a copy of the *** card for both children, and a copy of my drivers license. I received a response for only one child back in March 2024 with a confirmation number, but never received a response for the second child. I contacted customer support and they informed me that they have no record of the second child freeze request. This means the envelope was received but only half of the contents were processed. I now have to re-submit the forms, pay again for certified mail, and am concerned that sensitive documents were not properly handled or securely disposed.

      My son has been getting the run around for nearly a month. He applied for a loan with his credit union, and was advised they were unable to pull his credit. ( the same credit union that approved him a year ago, using the same credit agencys score) The ** rep told him to reach out to Equifax. Here we are, almost 4 weeks later. We have mailed the requested documents three weeks ago, and hes being told theres no credit file. They have told him to resend his verification documents. Hes into his 3rd semester of college and highly stressed about not having reliable transportation to and from school/work. -additionally, filed a complaint with the **** and was advised that could take ***** days.

      Equifax continuously drops my credit score 50 to 80 points for making on time payments. This has happened multiple times over the past three years. Imagine paying 1000 dollars to your credit cards and it dropping your credit score 60 points. They are making it hard to get loans. Their customer ********************** is near non existent, they can't answer any questions, and deny having any record of your credit score beyond a few day. They should be discredited and not allowed to report scores to anyone.

      They mixed up my sisters and my account and added her SSN on my account. When I went to buy a car they were unable to verify my identity. Called equifax and hoped to find a resolution. They suggestto send in a copy of SSN and DL. Which i did the next day. Unfortunately they did not receive my documents after multiple attempts of calling they started my escalation case and there is still no update on that. For two months is under investigation l. They did not connect me with supervisor. Requested to connect me with a team based In ***. They told me they do not have a contact info to connect me with them. How is that possible they dont have any connection with US department or office. They did not help and I am still not able yo buy my car because they are not receiving my documents l. Its a s*** show. There is no other way to fix this. I threatened them after 2 months that I will file a complaint. They told me you can go that. Good choice. This shows zero customer care and they are playing with my identity. Tried sending them second set of documents and they are still in process they still did not receive anything yet its been 2 weeks. I need answers and resolution. Can someone please help me file a complaint against equifax. They messed up my credit file and unable to help me that

      I never had an account with them and Im trying to figure out why my lender cant pull my credit. The first 2 times I called they told me that there was nothing wrong. But was telling the lender it was my date of birth. So I called again and everything checked out right again. So my question to them was why the lender cant pull my credit. So then they tell me I need to send in documentation. So Im like why you told me three times already that I didnt have any red flags ??

      Equifax Canada keeps debating and overdrawn my account. These payments are unauthorized, when I have tried to cancel Equifax products for months and they still try to debit my account! WTF??!!STOP NOW!! AND ISSUE A REFUND TO MY ACCOUNT!!

      Equifax has not allowed me access to my account for years now, I cannot review my credit report from them nor file any disputes with them. After several phone calls, emails and even reaching out to the marketing team via ******** I have not gotten any help from Equifax on getting access to my account. These guys have terrible customer ********************** and it is embarrassing that this country requires you to have a credit account with such an underwhelming and underperforming company.
