1 starMy business was destroyed by fire March 9th 2021 we lost everything. Via 3 way call with Piedmont Cash Register (***************) who talked me into using EVO Payments when I bought my cash register from him. EVO Payments agreed to close that account and then agreed to send me another system for a temporary location until we relocated to our new location. Once our new location was established we closed the temporary location. Via 3 way call once again they agreed to close the temporary location and we immediately sent to equipment back to them. In April after asking EVO Payments why my bill was so high I was informed that they never closed the first two accounts and they had been charging me for over 2 years. I was upset especially when they informed me that I would not be refunded. I immediately told them to close all the accounts and I pulled their equipment and had clover installed same day. The next day they charge me $495.00 per account for early termination fees. After MANY phone calls and demanding they take no more money out of my account they have taken over $2000. from my account in a month. I had to close that account because of the transactions. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH EVO PAYMENTS! TOTAL SHAM OF A COMPANY. THEY ALSO REFUSE TO LET YOU SPEAK TO A MANAGER.Review fromKurt C

1 starI was a customer since 2011 and just recently cancelled my account as their fees are much higher than any other processor out there. After my account was closed they billed my $495 for an "early cancellation" fee. First off, no one every told me about the fee when I called to cancel my account. Secondly, I was a customer for 12 YEARS...how can that possibly be considered an "early cancellation"! Avoid this company! They are shady and just continue to add more and more fees to your account.Review fromJohn B

1 starAfter 10 years they cancelled me? They're holding 10% of my money for six months! Plus crazy big fees that creep up all the time and terrible customer service! Don't use this company.Review fromKim C

1 starI am rarely without words. Having been a very good client to Global payments since 2015 I called to inform I will be closing my company effective end of month. The "automatic renewal" contract which is never sent, communicated or discussed with you is an unfortunate loan shark practice that for all of Global's regurgitation of "being transparent" flies in the face of honesty. $300 to close my account after paying excruciating fees and percentages. Regretfully, the issue is compounded as Global Payments is the hand off company to larger card processors who along with Global are disinterested in the customer. There is no such thing as **************** anymore. Anyone going into the business of card processing for their business, should be cautioned. Be careful, be thorough and above all, get everything in writing. If there is an automatic contract ... be very sure you are made aware of it in writing and that you receive your "automatic contract" in writing for your approval every time it renews. If companies are unable or unwilling to provide you with that, simply turn and walk away.Review fromJen B

1 starI used Tsys for a gym business for several years. The business closed 9/4/2022. I closed my account with Tsys 10/18/2022. All contracts were cancelled and the *** system was closed Nov 2022. the Gym was closed - no services being provided since Sept 2022!On 6/16/2023, I received a chargeback from Tsys to my bank account for from a transaction processed on April 10, 2022. Over 14 months prior!! This should be illegal - the fact that **** can continue to debit my account after this much time is ridiculous and for a transaction that occurred more than 1 year prior. I do not know any CC processors who allow disputes to be submitted after 1 year? The *** system is closed/no longer have access - shut down with the business and all cancelled memberships. I do not have access to my online Tsys/Translink account - also closed - so no oppty to view the details. Terrible, Terrible customer experience!Review fromChristina C

Evo has been handling the processing of our gift cards for 25 yrs. A while back I stopped getting paper records without being informed. Not a huge problem until I needed to change my banking info. After years I didn't know who to contact anymore -they had been acquired by larger comp. I closed the acct thinking they would call me when they couldn't process. No call, no email, they just shut off my machine. I am a restaurant and Mother's Day was coming - without this machine I could not sell or accept gift cards! After hours on the phone with different individuals who couldn't even find my account I found a woman who understood the situation and the importance of getting this problem solved immediately. I filled out the proper paperwork and emailed it and my machine was turned back on that night! Fast forward to June 5th- can't use the machine again. I called and the man on the phone, who was rude, dismissive and arrogant -told me I never filed the proper paperwork. When I sent him a copy of the receipt that they had received it he insisted they didn't have it. I asked him if they had the driver's licenses and other info they needed and he replied Yes. I explained that they had to have the signed bank change then because it was all in the same email. Did he scroll down far enough...silence. After a few min he said they had it but I hadn't filled it out properly. My DBA name was not what they had on file. I put *************************** not Bay City Seafood! Full name, EIN number, address everything matched but DBA and my machine was turned off?! They were already taking their fees out of the account. June 17th, the day before Father's ****STILL not fixed. After 25 yrs no call or email about the problem - just a turned off machine! They don't give a darn about small long standing companies like mine. Their cust. service is terrible - NO ONE knows what the heck is going on!Global Payments, Inc.

On behalf of EVO we would like to thank you for the years and for your loyalty. We apologize that we did not provide the correct communication to ensure you clearly understood what would take place on the account. The last transaction was on 4/2019(classified as inactive) in our system. This is no problem because that is the business model for your account. The issue came when the fee in April 2023 rejected for account closed. When we receive this type of reject and their is no active processing our process is to close the account. In your case we did not close the account, we deactivated the terminal to have you call into us. We received a request on 5/8 to update the banking. Regarding the forms that were sent, all forms have to be identical to what we have on file for us to stay in compliance with *************** guidelines. I know that can be frustrating, however its all for the protection of the account. As of 6/12 the banking has been updated, and we are confirming the terminal is working for you. I will have a tech support senior reach out no later than 6/23. We also have an online portal where you will be able to retrieve a report for your gift card balances.Review fromMartin C

1 starWhy Can't I put 0 stars? They have been overcharging us for years. I finally had time to cancel today but they informed me they will be billing me for at least a month while they allow my cancellation email (yes you have to send a signed email to a strange and lengthy email addy after you cancel by phone) sit in their inbox. But, we are "xxxxx Marine" and they opened the account under "xxxxx Machine" and haven't changed it after 15 or so requests to correct their mistake, so I'm sure that will add to the length of time it will take to cancel, while they are still overcharging us. Figure i'll call a few times a day checking on it, so they can earn the free $ they are withdrawing from my bank account.Review fromBrad B

1 starStay away from EVO Payments International LLC They are very convincing about how their company can save you so much money but what they do not tell you is that if your terminals are not *** compliant, you will be charged a monthly penality fee for all non complaint terminals. EVO also has a seperate customer service department for the *** terminal compliance which is a scam in itself, because they hold you responsible for your own compliance. Its not an easy process to experience. The compliance department is not helpful at all and keep telling you to run a scan on your system and then you will be all set. This is a joke, because I ran scans constantly and was still non-compliant. First time in 25 years I ever had a processing company tell me this. "RED FLAG"So the scam is, since it takes so long to become *** compliant, they can charge you non-compliance fees on all of your terminals. I signed up with them in October 2022 and it took until April 2023 to become *** compliant. $184.00 per month per terminal is what they were charging me with a promise to be refunded when my terminals were *** compliant. I was never refunded. They eventually ignored my phone calls and emails. This credit card processing company is the most unprofessional company I ever had to deal with. I am surprised they are still in business. What is even more frustrating is the customer service people would tell me over and over, "Our supervisors are the only people that can approve refunds, but you should be refunded soon because they are working on that for you"Never received a refund. Never was supported once the agreement was signed. It is definitely a SCAM. They do not even dewserve a 1-star review.Review fromJoey S.

1 starReceived a phone call at 7:53 am soliciting payroll services to me. First, the law states no solicitation calls before 8 am, and second my phone number is on the Nation Do Not Call registry and has been since it's inception. Violating those 2 laws isn't even the worst part of what he did. *******************, called me because he said he saw me post on social media that I was having an issue with my payroll processing company. My fb friend and someone I have known my whole life were commenting under her post about ADP raising prices and call her for a no obligation quote. I said I hated ADP, she asked if used them, I said no I fired them when I was hired and do it all myself. This guy and his company are trolling people's personal accounts! How did he even get my number?! I felt gross after talking to him, especially when he laughed at me when I told him how disgusting what he did was!
