Beazer built my house 17yrs ago. A couple of years ago we found out that the reason we kept having moisture issues in our bathroom was because Beazer left the exhaust fan duct laying on top of the bathroom ceiling/Attic unattached. Our handy man had to cut the vinyl siding section on the side of our house and direct the duct to it so it can vent out! Present time- We recently have had some cpvc problem that we have decided to repipe the whole house. After cutting thru the drywall to reach the bathroom pipes we found TRASH left inside the wall!!Beazer Homes Corporation

Beazer Homes regrets to hear of the homeowner's concern regarding the refuse found in the home. While this homeowner is well beyond their limited 10 year warranty, we will be sure to pass along this feedback to our local teams for future training opportunities.Review fromSAL G

1 starPerforming irresponsible installation resulting in pricy fixes for the home buyers installed my ac line underground and not burying it properly causing the pipe to decay and cause a hole and allowing freon to escape and into the air, which is definitely not good we tried to talk to him basically gave me the brush off, and I know of at least six other people in this development that Ive had the same problemReview fromSandra M.

1 starWriting to make known my discontent for a new purchase with Beazer. The house was 1.3 yrs old, hence the 1 year warranty was exhausted. There was a heavy rainstorm at the beginning of May that caused a leak into the wall of my den, the room facing the street. As it was out of warranty I was told that I was responsible to be checking the caulk around the windows. However this is a ridiculous expectation to be checking and recaulking the exteriors windows on a NEW build-interior I understand. I had to employ a leak detection company who inspected the windows and found several cracks in the mortar and areas never sealed or not sealed appropriately to begin with. The cheap silicone used was just lathered around certain areas of the windows. I did bring this up to the warranty person and mentioned it months before my warranty expired and they said that they really shouldn't be doing that that it was my responsibility to caulk! When I pointed out that it was in fact areas that were missing to begin with they "did me the favor" to seal the windows on the bottom floor. The upstairs outer windows were the problem and were not sealed properly or at all. This in turn cost me over $3,000 to reseal every single window on the exterior of the house with durable material and warrantied work. This shows the poor craftsmanship and detail that was given to this house given the fact that there was a delay in items, brick and such. Quality should have been a factor especially given the that this company prides itself on quality. Given the amount of wait time and money I am paying for this house, I was expecting a better quality build. When this house was being built every single item that I upgraded to would have been overlooked and not installed had I not been following weekly. Early on I had to have them rip a hole in my bathroom to fix the wrongly installed rain shower. The peace of mind of purchasing a new house is gone as I am now expecting the next thing to come up.Review fromEric B

1 starWARNING: If you are considering a Beazer home, investigate the **** enclosures for the home, and talk to the neighbors. I bought a Beazer home 8 years ago, it was 10yrs old at the time so the homeowner warranty has done. The **** was dying when I bought it. Replaced it with a robust unit. Per multiple subject matter experts who evaluated my situation, the unit died 7.5 years later due to faulty design and duct work by Beazer. I will NEVER buy another Beazer home. Beazer declined to provide any assistance given the warranty expiration. Not their problem is what I was told.Review fromW. D.

I am building a Beezer home in ************** ****************************************, due to close Aug "2023. I am very disappointed and frustrated to this point having to remind people of their promises that go in one ear and seemingly out the other. Our building contact was walked off the job and today we find out carpet color we ordered was not entered accurately into your computer and we have to accept the wrong carpet color because of your 14 day limit on changes. I offered to pay additional monies to correct and install the right color, but you people are NOT flexible at all. You will have to go a long way before I will say anything good about your smooth building process.Beazer Homes Corporation

The division has agreed to allow the buyer to change the carpet selection. The sales team will be reaching out to the buyer to update.W. D.

This company left our neighborhood (White *** at East Lake) a complete mess. There are potholes in our roads that we had to go buy cement and attempt to fix ourselves because the company wont. There are ****************** signs in peoples yard that are falling apart because construction ended ages ago. There are uncovered holes all over the neighborhood that they left. There are even random spigots coming out of the ground that are leftover from construction. The curbs are crumbling because they built in a makeshift ramp for the model home. The gate is so dim you can barely see it at night. There is a street light literally 1/2 an inch from a building because it used to light that makeshift parking lot for the model home. They built around the light instead of moving it. They also lied about adding a pavilion and walking trail to entice us to buy, its clearly never going to happen.Beazer Homes Corporation

Beazer Homes is in the process of preparing the community to be turned over and addressing the concerns mentioned. GA ***** has been contacted in regard to the streetlights, and concrete repair has been scheduled (as well as streets). The community will be inspected, and items addressed in the next couple of weeks in preparation for the turnover. We can understand the frustration of homeowners when they are unaware of the process and ask in the future, they reach out directly to Beazer Homes for clarification and to bring their concerns to our attention.Kai

We have reached out to Beazer numerous times about these issues, so telling me to reach out directly is comical. We have been complaining about these roads for years. Our *** representative told us in one of the EXTREMELY rare meetings that the roads would be repaired when construction ended and then came back the next meeting saying YOU guys would NOT be repairing the roads. I have lived here for 3 years and the same potholes are still there. Thats why we decided to attempt to fix them ourselves. We have also made numerous complaints about the *** company that Beazer chose and also asked if we could find our own representative. A representative from Beazer joined our *** meeting and flat out denied that request. Our *** representative does not represent us in the slightest. She represents Beazer. That is why after 3 years of living here, the same curbs that were crumbling and falling apart on day 1 are still crumbling now. None of the things we have voiced our concerns about have ever been addressed. They dont even enforce the rules or guidelines. At this point we are paying for a lawn service, because that is all that gets done, and even that isnt done right. We complained about how dark the gate is numerous times as well. In fact a contractor that Beazer hired was robbed at gun point at that dark gate. Still nothing was done. We were enticed to buy in this community with promises of a walking trail and pavilion that never happened. When is Beazer finally going to admit that we were sold a bill of goods? Now you say the community is being turned over and all the issues are finally going to be fixed. Im skeptical, and turned over to whom?Kai

We had our annual, unproductive as usual *** Meeting and we were informed by the representative that our neighborhood is NOT being turned over and Beazer claims to not know who left the above response to me. It was all just another lie that this company has told us. This company continues to zero accountability for our incomplete neighborhood. Construction has been completed and we are being held hostage. We continue to pay monthly and they just do whatever they want with our money except what we tell them we want. We have NO representation and no say in anything and the Builder and the *** continues to lie and give us the runaround.Review fromSteven K.

For starters I was a painting contractor for several national builders for 31 years which does not make me an expert in everything but I've seen a lot. I bought a Beazer home built in **** in ********* Nev. in 2018. It is a large **** sq ft home and was the top model in series of home in my neighborhood and it is a beautiful home in a great area. Recently my disposal started leaking at the top connection it just was old , no fault of the builder so i decided to replace entire kitchen sink and a new disposal bracket no problem right LOL. The counter top was cut so small the sink only fit because it was heavy cast iron and i had to get a car **** to pop it out once i cut the silicone. then had to cut counter 1 16th inch in front and back so new sink would fit. The sink being jammed in explained why the top was cracked horizontally in front of sink. The disposal fits no common brackets i can find however I can find sticker on it says it is good for ******************************** awesome,,,,and the outlet under the sink is not a GFI along with half of the kitchen outlets which are within 6 feet of the sink not to mention all exterior outlets it does rain here sometimes. Home inspector missed 3 loose outlets upstairs loose because the electrical box behind wall were secured with one nail. Lots of houses in area with broken sewer lines because the planted standard builder tree right on top of them, stucco on top of exterior pop outs unfinished causing them to crack and allow water damage so on and so forth....I love my home and can fix this stuff myself but that is no excuse , **** was not the dark ages. If you are buying a new home educate yourself and visit your home DURING CONSTRUCTION look past the finish surfaces. Project supers and ********* city inspectors obviously did give a **** about doing there jobs then subdivision ********************Beazer Homes Corporation

The Beazer Homes team in ********* has reviewed the post and are unable to respond with so little information. We need the address in question to research concerns stated by the homeowner. A couple of things listed in this complaint are not making sense for the history of the community. Without the address we cannot submit a response. The homeowner is welcome to contact Beazer Homes directly as well.Review fromAmy R

The community is great, I will give it that. We love out neighbors-however, since we moved in, we have been having HVAC issues. The original company that Beazer used to build our house (i'm sure to save money) got fired or quit because they messed up a lot of the units-despite Beazer getting a new one, we still have had multiple issues. After being in the new home only two years, our unit once again is messed up and we are having to pay ****** to get it repaired-despite it being something that was due to the original company they hired. The communication also between the property manager has also been terrible and we have been working on this issue since November. I would say, if you end up going with beazer, please have your hvac unit fully checked before the year warranty is up because you will be left with a lot of the charges. Please reach out to our New ******************* at **************, and we will look into this concern directly. Thank you, and have a great day.Review fromRandi J

We were assured of quality workmanship, it never happened. We were told that the porch extension would not be screened but the main back porch would be. Confirmed by our first (of 5) superintendents. Later we were told there was no screened porch. The plumbing was laid out improperly. They had to cut two studs that were over the plumbing pipes in the kitchen wall. Before corrections , the plumbers plumbed the house, since they couldnt go straight up as the plans called for, they made two right angles. After much discussion they finally added the additional studs needed,A necessary access over the garage was blocked by a roof truss. We had to argue with the second supervisor to get it done.Holes put in roof OSB by the framing crew were never fully addressed.**** company compromised a wall since studs were cut back to allow for a vent while cutting a large hole in the fire-******ant drywall encasing. Floor I-beam at the landing at the top of the steps was gutted for >2 feet to allow for a much smaller vent, compromising the floor system at a crucial point. I found this and provided the fix.Outside AC unit was placed under the water closet / toilet window and covered the outdoor spigot. Insufficient line was run from the heat exchanger to the outside unit, which later resulted in severe cavitation when the unit was running. This was later fixed, but it was still outside the water closet / toilet. The emergency drain pan sticks out into the doorway of the **** room, a tripping hazard. We continue to have issues with the mudding (and painting) of the walls and ceilings that after 3 months are still not addressed. Landscaping was sloppy. The silt fence was bulldozed and mostly buried. It took almost two months after we closed for them to return and dig it out.The swale in the front yard still has ponding water. While other houses have been addressed, we have been ignored.Concrete was already chipping from our sidewalk and garage before we moved in.Beazer Homes Corporation

Beazer Homes strives to deliver an enjoyable new home journey for all of our homeowners, and we apologize for any shortcomings experienced. We understand that, at this time, the majority of concerns raised have been resolved and that Beazer Homes ******** is working diligently to ensure all remaining warrantable items are addressed. If there are any new concerns, we always encourage homeowners report them to our New ******************* at ************** or ********************************Randi J

1 starWe never heard about Beazer. We started with Imagine homes to build our new forever home and Beazer bought Imagine. Our nightmare started with them. We spent more them $180.000 just for upgrades. We finally get the key 50 days ago and the house comes with more then 65 items to be addressed. The cabinets in the house from JKfraft were installed cracked, broken, crooked and chipped. The countertops are damaged with stamps. The wood floor are damaged and cracked. Our carpets in 2 bedrooms does not look well installed. We paid $9,000 for the slid door that is not working, so we can not lock the door. The Tile and back splash with horrible installation. They need to reinstall the tile in a lot of rooms in the house.I would never recommend Beazer!!!
