I parked at a parking spot without registering for two days, and when I returned, I had one parking violation ticket on my windshield. I paid the ticket the same day and went on with my business as normal. What I failed to realize was that I had actually gotten TWO parking tickets for different days, when there was only ONE physical ticket on my car when I got back. I only realized I had gotten two when I received a letter from collections saying that I had an unpaid violation. How was I supposed to know that I had two when there was only one on my car? If I had seen both, I would have definitely contacted to try to appeal first, and if unsuccessful I would have paid the parking ticket as they were legitimate tickets. What is illegitimate and fraudulent, however, is the fact that they only gave me ONE ticket for two separate tickets, and when I unknowingly didn't pay the other one, they send that to collections. There is a reason why this business is so lowly rated across the country and why so many people have issues with this company. They are using fraudulent tactics to collect more money. When I contacted customer service, they only told me that the ticket has already been sent to collections so they couldn't do anything about it. Understandable. When I asked how I should have known that I had two tickets issued when there was only one physical ticket on my car, they said that I should have went on their website and entered my license plate to see if I had any pending parking violations. What reasonable person looks up their license plate to see if they had any unpaid parking violations when they didn't receive anything to indicate so? Customer service also told me that I could have called them to see if I had any pending ones. Again, no reasonable person would do that if they didn't receive anything in person.This business seems legitimate at first, when in reality they utilize illegitimate and fraudulent practices to collect more money.Initial Complaint

This company sent me several notices for unpaid garage parking (first for $50, then it rose to $85 after 2 weeks) despite the fact that I paid upon parking via a QR code posted. I was unable to electronically dispute the charge because the link that youre directed to for disputes doesnt exist. There is no number to call to dispute & now im receiving notices from a collection agency. The SECOND I input the ticket information, I receive a call listed as telemarketer. On October 16, 2023, I entered a parking lot on *********************. in ********, ** across from the State House, I went to pay at the kiosk which had no information on rates per hour. I paid ten dollars, which I hope would cover me for several hours. A few weeks later I received the same notice that hundreds of others have apparently received saying I owed $85 for overstaying. If I paid promptly, they would reduce this to $45. Clearly this is a deception and a fraudulent bill. The notice claims that these terms are posted on the property, but I did not see this. Dear BBB, I parked in downtown ******* along a building driveway that was not marked as a parking space and there was a car parked in front of me. I was parked 15 feet up the drive, well past any parking enforcement signs specifically for the marked spaces. I received a ticket from Professional Parking Management on 09/15/2023 at 7:03 pm EST time. How can I receive a ticket when the space was not clearly marked? I disputed the parking ticket, however my dispute was denied by the company. I don't understand why I was ticketed when the car in front of me was not. Professional Parking is requesting that I pay $90 due to a penalty for non-payment. I adamantly dispute these charges.Business Response

Not paying this ticket. I smutted my credit card at terminal , entered my plate number, and how long we were staying. The machine gave me my card back but could not print a ticket receipt because it was out of paper.I had no way of knowing it did not take. I think you guys are scamming alot of people by not having paper in the machine and issuing a ticket.I live on the beach since **** and i will no longer visit any sites on the beach with your parking meters. I am also going to the city meeting to voice my COMPLANT and i hope there are other people that will speak up about this rip off.Also butting this on all the social media to see others with the same problem.Business Response

I received a notice in the mail that I have an unpaid balance of $85.00 but if I pay within 30 days I would only owe $45.00 for some sort of parking violation. This is bogus, as I left said parking lot as the gate was open and they are trying to say I left without paying. There was no attendant on duty, so this is their word against mine. Clearly this is a scam, as the most I would have paid is $5.00.Business Response

On 09/13 I parked at a deck in West Midtown and was prompted to pay for the parking through a website that did not email me a receipt even though it asked for my email. I was charged for the $8.50 to park there for an hour and left before my time had run out. I received a ticket in the mail stating that I had not paid for my parking though I have a bank receipt for the parking deck. When I provided them with that proof they said that was not enough proof and they would need the receipt which was only provided on the website and I did not think that I would have to screen shot a receipt due to their poor business practices. I have since responded and appealed the complaint a total of 3 times with no one contacting me. I've sat on hold for their customer service department(which I had to dig to find on the internet since they fail to provided that anywhere on any of their communications). I think their lack of resolution in this situation is horrendous especially when I provided proof that I paid for their parking. I just received another notice in the mail stating that I owe $85 but can not get a hold of a person to speak to.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
First of all this absolutely ridiculous. Your customer service is horrific as Ive never once been able to get a hold of an actual person to discuss the issue of having paid when I parked, provided proof of payment and still am being charged for a violation. Its a racket. After everything I know you have received my responses(as you so kindly extended the early payment rate all of a sudden) and refused to contact me directly as requested after all(8!) of my attempts to get a hold of a live person. Honestly have not dealt with such poor business practices as yours.Sincerely,
