1 starFor the past 18 months you have kept your appointment 11 times out of 18. There are times that we were called by your office to say that the service man is on the way and never show up. In addition, we requested supplies included with your monthly service. This is December we have been waiting for supplies since October, in fact you charged us for two visits in November, when the second visit was only requested supplies that were not delivered the first visit. (Charged twice, for service when we only requested supplies that were not delivered the first visit). When we call to register a complain, your service agent stated that the general Manager will call us. This was in November. To date we have not heard for the General Manager yet. (Over a month). When we called back, as stated that we did not want any agent to come to our home until we talk to General Manager; we were informed that our contract would be cancelled if we did not get service for a month. (It should be noted that there were months that we did not receive any service because your service man did not show). However, we were told that they would allow us to schedule a service day on a Sunday, this way we would have a schedule service date within a month). As stated earlier, we do not want to cancel our service, however the Service we are receiving at this point is unacceptable. It should be noted that different members of our household have taken days off from work and or rescheduled their days to accommodate the Service Appointment; and no Service Agent ever showed, nor did we get a call stating why, they never showed. This has happened on numerous occasions. We still have not heard from the General Manager. It is stated that he is out of town and wont be available until next year. Our next recourse to secure another company for service. Because, our home is Group Home, we dont want to feel we are being discriminated against. This cannot continue.Review fromRolando C

I contacted Orkin to inspect for Bed Bugs. The Inspector, ******************************************** came to my house on December 3rd, 2022 with a LED flashlight to look for signs of Bed Bugs. Her flashlight battery died within the first 20 minutes. She failed to do a thorough inspection by avoiding looking at all pillows, sheets, etc. She identified what she stated was a Bed Bug on top of one of the mattresses and gave me a quote for $1,850.00 for three rooms. I paid $165.00 for this "inspection". However, I got a second opinion on December 6th, 2022 for another company and the inspector did a thorough job and he looked for live Bed Bugs, dropping, and eggs and found no trace of Bed Bugs. He advised me that I have Carpet Beetles and he showed me the larva. I am going to seek a refund for the $165.00 since ***** failed to identify the Carpet Beetle and told me it was a Bed Bug. Her mistake could have cost me thousands of dollars. More training is needed.Rollins, Inc.

I am with Orkin almost 7 months. And I am trying not to cancel my plan for many times. I called them and warned them couple times about my unhappiness about their service. Because definitely there is no regular service. I signed an agreement with service for once a month. But it turned out to be once in 2 months. I need to call them and complain for having them in my house. Today I'm done and I called customer service for cancellation, they told that we will cancel it and that rude lady obviously hang up on me. I need to call them again to make sure it is cancelled. Later on a kind lady called me from my branch about my cancellation and tried to convince me about my cancellation and she told me they scheduled your last visit for Sunday which our branch is closed that day. I took it as bad intention. So I understand Orkin trying to rip off my last payment and wont give me a service for my last payment. I encourage them to either refund my money or they will come for the last service on a day when their branch is on working day. I do not recommend anyone this company. There are lots of small companies they will take care better than this guys for sure. Do not make my fault!Rollins, Inc.

I've been an Orkin Customer with the Alsip ********* since 2012. The **************** and lack of respect for customers has always been horrible at this Branch. This branch does not schedule appointments correctly especially when technicians are off. This branch doesn't take into account the customer's work schedule when scheduling appointments (when customers specifically state when they will be available) . Some of the technicians are extremely rude when calling customers about appointments. Specifically ... The Manager *************************** threatened that I would not receive service ********************** file a complaint with the BBB. ***** who also works in the ************* questioned if I did work and was that the real reason I couldn't receive service at the time I was scheduled. Trayvon a technician called me on my job demanding why I was not home so he come and do my service because he was finished with his appointments for the day and he needed to come early so he could be off early. This all occurred on 11/29/2022. I Finally received service with the assistance of ****, the Regional **************** Manager and ***** the excellent technician. I will be cancelling ORKIN after being a loyal customer for 10 years.Rollins, Inc.

I initially signed up for Orkin service last month (October 2022). When I spoke to the Orkin Tech at my home, we went over various service plans. The Tech told me that I could choose a quarterly plan - in which I'd pay $127 for the first 2 months, then be charged every 3 months afterward. To my surprise, my second visit was not free of charge (as I was told), and I was charged $117. Furthermore, the Tech did significantly less during my second visit. At times, he asked me what areas I thought he should treat - to which I responded by pointing out the fact that he was the expert, not me. After receiving extremely underwhelming service at the second visit and being charged $117 for a visit I was told would be complimentary, I called the local branch to gain resolution to this issue but was I greeted by a very rude call agent, who made me decide to cancel my subscription with Orkin. I've used them in the past without issues, but the branch in **********, ** is unprofessional, incompetent, and dishonest. I would not recommend this company in the *** area.Rollins, Inc.

1 starPros and cons! I worked for Orkin for 11 years. Orkin itself as a pest control company is an excellent pest company. They will get rid of your pest problems! With that being said their integrity level for work personal is very low. I hurt my back 2xs on the job at Orkin, as I was working my 17hr days. The 3rd time I hurt it I was in the way out the door to go to work. I slipped and hurt it again in the same place I previously hurt it. Only this time my injury was severe! Well long story short I had to have surgery on my back. I tried returning to work after close to a year and was unable to perform my duties. So I had to step down because I would not allow my customers or my employer to have to pay for what I was going through. The company left me high and dry. They offered me no compensation, even though it was the work that cause my initial injuries. I didn't even get a thank you for my 11 year tenure and I was a manager. I eventually lost everything due to this. My house my wife and everything else. So the answer is yes with the right technician,he/ she will get rid of your problem. But the company slave drives and if your tech gets injured doing your job they may lose everything because of it. I made this company millions and I got the shaft in the end. The result is 2 back surgeries, social security and a life time of pure pain! I was only 41 at the time. Hope this helps with making **************.Review fromDennis L

I wish I wouldve read these reviews before using Orkins service. Their service is horrible. The first initial service may have been worth it for spiders. After about the second month, they showed up whenever they felt like it. Theyd skip a month, but the worst part is them charging my husbands card $100 for a service not completed. We are in *********, *********. They would come out when we werent at home, no appointments set and then charge us for the month knowing good well they hadnt sprayed the inside of our home. Because we have RING cameras, we also know the outdoor services were rushed and not completed as well. My husband called and complained and we were told whenever they come out, even if the service isnt completed, we are billed. They said theyd send someone back out on the weekend, they canceled. We rescheduled for the weekday, the guy came in and did a rush job. I even watched him just stand at the end of the hallway and spray a little instead of actually going in the rooms to spray. He took about 8 minutes to spray an entire house. No way. We cancelled the services!!!Rollins, Inc.

COMPLETE SCAM! Before you decide to use this company please read the factual reviews from here and their fb page before getting scammed! Unsure how this company has a 4.8 star rating. This company is the most unprofessional business Ive ever seen. They have scammed me by locking me into a contact for a full year while their service has been extremely unprofessional, showing up unannounced, spraying chemicals that do nothing but make the bug problem worse! I get rid the ants and other insects by placing traps from ******* around the house and when I finally get control of the situation and we are bug free then these people show up at my door and spray whatever chemical they use and the bugs and ants come swarming in! Not to mention they come and spray outside first everytime and then call themselves spraying the OUTSIDE windowsills is what they do to keep the bugs out, they have told us countless of times they dont technically spray inside. It seems everytime they come it gets worse and the ants come back! My lawn dies everytime they spray. Out contract has ended in September and we are now in November still getting charged. We have called countless of times since our contract first ended to cancel and all they can tell us is they will put in a request and wait for the service manager to call us back because he is out with covid. Then tells us that we need to give them a 30 day notice but I guess they dont see the notations from the last 3 times weve called in the past 2 months These people will literally scam you out of your money!!Rollins, Inc.
