      Well I lived in one of *** it's now 2025 and the roof and other things around the home hasn't been fixed since hurricane *** in *********************************************************************** the mail for $7268.03 and my secretary deposit is being kept also. And as luck would have it ****** ******** & the head of local maintenance ***** ***** is unavailable and crazy convenient ******* ******** isn't available either. Check out the ******** groups for more terrible ratings and peoples negative interactions before you move forward in renting.

      Renting from FirstKey Homes has been one of the worst experiences Ive had. Their customer service is either extremely poor or completely nonexistent. If you're expecting to have a dedicated property managerdont. Anytime you need assistance, you're told to call a generic 888 number and submit a ticket, but no one ever follows up.Communication is chaotic. Youll receive multiple emails from different people about the same issue, none of whom seem to be aware of your previous responses. Its a clear sign of poor internal organization.The Atlanta office is especially disorganized. If something breaks, theyre quick to try and charge you for it, even when its clearly a maintenance responsibility on their end.If youre considering renting from FirstKey Homesrun the other way. This company is not equipped to manage homes or serve renters professionally.

      They do not even try to keep your home in running condition. We have been without air conditioning for two weeks at this point, and they have not attempted to repair the issue since the part arrived two days ago. It has been 85 degrees inside the house, and we have both elderly people and a newborn. The most they have done is provide us with a barely adequate portable unit to keep a single room somewhat cool.

      I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the conduct and practices of your property management company. My recent experience as an applicant has been not only frustrating but also deeply concerning. First and foremost, I submitted an application along with the required application fees. It feels as though these fees are being collected without any fair or transparent follow-up, which raises ETHICAL CONCERNS. Additionally, I have encountered significant communication barriers when seeking assistance. Many of your staff members appear to be foreign workers who do not have strong command of English, making it nearly impossible to get help or information needed. Instead of patience or helpfulness, I was met with rudeness and dismissive behavior, which added to the frustration. This experience left me feeling disrespected, misled, and mistreated. I am requesting a full review of this matter.

      If you live next to a home they rent, and the home is sitting empty, be ready to have no lawn mowed or weeds taken care of. A family lived in the home for 5 years and were wonderful neighbors and tenants. They moved out last month and the home is sitting empty. They DO NOT take care of their homes when unoccupied. This is a concern due to critters/snakes and making our neighborhood look trashy.

      We went away for a couple of days returning to a overheated space. Our A/C stopped working and our thermostats were reading over 83 degrees. Firstkey sent Mr. **** ******** to assess the problem. He was able to quickly get the A/C running and repaired a potential issue that could cause future problems. Mr. ******** explains all his work and conducted in a professional manner. Thank you!

      First, they charged me a $45 non-compliance fee for notifying a violation. However, there was no violationHOA admitted the notice was sent in error and officially closed the case.I explained this to FirstKey Homes and requested that the $45 fee be waived since the violation didnt actually exist. No one responded for two weeks, and when they finally did, they simply repeated that the fee was for notifying the violation.There is absolutely no communication, and they just keep charging fees unfairly.Beware of this terrible management company. I will never rent a home from this money-draining company again.

      Be wary of their move out process. They will fleece you for all that they can, even requiring you to pay for damages that THEY caused during the inspection (as proven by videos we took on move out). Then, theyll remove your account, make it virtually impossible to get in contact with a human, and deny amending all charges. They even charged us for external siding maintenance (which is their responsibility) by saying it was considered landscaping. Do not rent with them.

      Fraudulently charged me for 2 applications when I only submitted 1. Have tried to contact them multiple times for a refund and they continue to say its processing it has been 4 months.
