My advice to everybody, download their app and file your claim that way! We have been through 3 agents and not 1 of them did their jobs! Going through an agent for a claim is absolutely ridiculous! They do not train their agents properly! Save yourself the aggravation and frustration by doing it yourself! I had to wait 3 years just to get paid out for an ankle injury, still waiting a year later for an agent to bold face lie to me told me she filed my claim and I get on the website to find out nothing had been filed! And before you send your paperwork make sure you have copies of everything because you will never see it again and the agents are absolutely aweful with the responsibility of having your medical records! Which if they lose them, and that has been a huge issue for me! Where is all the medical I have turned in! It is not hard to download their app and upload all your documents there!

Aflac is a waste of money. Filed dental claims. My dentist's claim was rejected. Aflac said they never received claim. Dentist mailed claim. Then they contacted Aflac and was told that they would mail a check to the policy holder on September 6th. Today is the 29th, no check yet. I ended up having to pay my dentist out of pocket for my March appointment due to Aflac's incompetence. Tried calling Aflac's customer service number, no response after 16 minutes on hold. Find another provider, this one is worthless. I give them 0 stars based on my experience with them. (I had to give 1 in order to post a review)

Aflac so far gets 1 star. I've received money from the state before aflak has even stopped asking ?s to even approve my claim. I've been paying for 7 years on time every time thru my employer. They said they would get back with me in 24hrs. So 96 hrs. Later I called them. The answer they gave me was we sent a letter dated the day I called. This letter was in reference to the same ? To my provider 2 monts ago. I would not recommend this co.

The poor service of being paid. Asked about my claim over the last 3 weeks, kept being told 3 to 5 days with no action taken.

Awful customer service and sneaky with policy. I Got diagnosed with ******,had surgery and they covered me for 2 out of the 3 weeks (because of a 7 day waiting period) I missed work.I went back to work, found out additional treatment was needed and I had to quit my job because I was unable to perform the functions of the job with my health status. My last day at work was on a Thursday and the following Monday, I began my next treatment that lasted 1 week. After that week, I submitted another claim to collect benefits but was denied. After appealing TWICE, I was still declined.I was confused why so I tried calling customer service and getting on chat but the process was extensive.I finally spoke to a representative who told me my policy states that I have to be employed in order to collect the benefits, even though I pay the policy individually as it is not provided by my employer. After learning this information, I decided to cancel the policy on **** and called again to do so but was advised to speak with a local agent but in the mean time, my account would be taken off auto-draft (scheduled for ****) and moved to billing, which would provide me a grace period to speak with an agent and make a final decision. Just checked my bank account today and the money was auto-drafted on ****. I tried calling the local agent that Aflac provided, he never answered. So I called again today *****) to officially cancel my policy due to all of the AWFUL customer service and while speaking to someone on the phone, I found out that the call from **** to cancel my auto-draft was never submitted by the representative to the back office and that's why it got drafted.Cancelled policy but was told back office would have to review and send refund for the auto-draft.I have nothing good to say about Aflac.I thought they would be helpful, especially after a cancer diagnosis but the claim process is long, involved and detailed. Customer service and chat are never available when you need them.

They are crooks. **** disease. How do you deny someone that when you submit all the medical and lab paperwork and they say there is still nothing proving you have it. Then we’ll you submitted under hospital should of been accident but that’s ok i(as in customer service) says oh I can resubmit for you and that will work. Called back 2 weeks later oh there’s nothing submitted under accident but I’ll do it for you. Called back a few days later. Oh it’s under review. Call back Monday. Gave them a extra day and called back Tuesday. Nope still not done reviewing. Called back Thursday. Nope it was submitted under wrong policy. And doesn’t prove you had ****. CROOKS

      SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
My husband had signed up for the cancer policy on me and him thru his employer. Once he left his employer we continued to pay the premiums in order to keep the coverage. The first thing before deciding to actual take the coverage I spoke to the agent from Aflac (LESTER P**** and explained to him that I did at one time have cancer but had been in remission for over years. He literally explained to me in text and emails that as long as I have been in remission over years that if I had a reoccurance they would pay. So after being in remission for an additional 2 years my cancer came back. They denied my claim and stated they do not pay on reoccurance.
Then on ****/23 I was diagnosed with ***** **** *********. Sent in all forms that was required, pathology report and filed the claim. As of ****/23 I still have not received any funds from this claim and I have been in contact with them weekly. They keep saying they have process and escalation process but still nothing.
I have asked to speak to someone in the Claims department but keep being told that they do not speak to policyholders.
They can make sure they take your premiums every month from your bank account, but definitely do not want to pay out when it comes time to.

If I could give them a lower "zero" star I would. They debited my monthly payment twice. I sent two emails to customer support requesting they contact the billing department. After a few days of not hearing back, I called customer support. I was told it would take 14 days for me to get any results. After 14 days, I did get a letter thanking me for being a customer and they need medical documentation for my claim. I sent another email explaining that I was double debited for my monthly payment and I did not submit a claim. Tomorrow, I am canceling my three policies and putting a stop payment on my checking account so they cannot auto-debit me again. I will probably have to contact the Attorney General's office to get my money back that they owe me due to double charging my checking account. Something should be done about a company that gets this many bad reviews.

I have been paying premiums for many years to AFLAC for a Cancer Indemnity policy which covers myself and my husband. In 2021, my husband was diagnosed with an inoperable, malignant brain tumor (cancer), and I began submitting claims to AFLAC. The initial claims were mostly reimbursed, however, subsequent claims have been denied without any explanation. Frustrated I contacted my local representative who was able to determine the reasons for the denials. He explained the company needed additional information and instructed me to refile the claims with the supplementary documentation. Again, the claims were denied with no explanation. I would appreciate it if you could investigate Aflac as many other policy holders have had the same experience (reference reviews on https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/aflac.html and https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.aflac.com ). Thank-you.

Ripping people off. Not worth the time they waste when they are signing you up and feeding you lies. If getting hit while loading groceries into your parked does not qualify as an accident, then what does?
