Hi, AFLAC never informed me my insurance was canceled. We have been paying this insurance for months. I feel like they just got my money and didn't care about my son getting reinstated. I called on 3 occasion. The last person I talked to had a bad attitude. No customer service. I didn't get her name. Usually I do, but I was never sent a reinstatement application after been told it was mailed. It was never mailed until 11/**/24. Supposedly mailed in August 2024. Unprofessional.

I have carried this ****** policy with Aflac since 1995. I recently had to utilize it with a ****** diagnosis. Each time I had to process a Claim For the things I was supposed to Compensated for was extremely difficult. And for the most part, each item I submitted, they did not compensate me the amount that I was supposed to receive. I would again have to call them and they would argue the issue with me. Very stressful at a time that I did not need added stress. So I just canceled my policy.

I fit their criteria for a pay out, had to call back daily for any information, was suddenly denied with again, no information given. My family needs that money as it was for an ********* * ******* and I have a newborn to worry about. I've never worked with a worse company and that's saying something.

Only giving 1 star because I have to in order to leave a review. I purchased aflac a year ago and found out 3 months ago I needed **** surgery. I was told my my agent as long as I wasn't diagnosed or treated 6 months prior to obtaining aflac my short term disability would be approved. I was never diagnosed nor treated for this condition until 3 months ago. I was given the run around by this horrible insurance the entire time I was off work. They could never seem to get the paperwork right kept saying they needed the same records weekly. I had to call several times in 2 months time to work this out myself and when I finally had all they asked for, for the 10th time, they denied my claim stating it was preexisting! I was never diagnosed nor treated for this condition prior to obtaining aflac!! Big scam!! I've wasted so much money know a service that I would never be able to use! I should have listened to multiple people who told me not to get it because they would always find a reason to deny a claim.

Terrible. They signed me up for a policy at my side gig in ******* **** ***** without my consent. They say I signed the policy but I never did to my knowledge. My hiring manager never told me about this plan and it’s not expected from a part time job. I mean who gets health benefits from a part time job, no one. However, after my 3rd paycheck I noticed the deductions from Aflac which shocked me because I didn’t even know what they were. I called them and did everything they told me to have the policy canceled. I submitted all the cancellation forms in July 2024 and still getting deducted for this policy on every paycheck. Outrageous how this company just signs people up without sending anything in the mail or an email confirmation. Nothing. I was never aware I was paying for their health policy benefit. It’s about a 10 dollar deduction per paycheck and every penny counts. I mean why pay for a subscription when you don’t even know you have it. I spoke to Aflac’s representative and they told me I can opt out for next year 2025. But until then I am enrolled for the rest of the year. How convenient and easy is to enroll into a policy with Aflac but extremely hard to unenrolled. Shady practices. Stay away from them.

I’ve read all these reviews and I’m actually astonished. I’ve used them both through my accident policy and short term disability and I have never had a problem with them. They’ve paid promptly and sure there were some paperwork hoops to jump through, but that’s nothing new. They’ve been great to me.

It seems that Aflac insurance is garbage, if I could give negative stars I would, they don’t want to pay out for dental. If your looking for insurance just to say you have insurance then Aflac is for you but if you would require an insurance company to actually provide you with insurance then Aflac is not gmc or you.

I have a claim filed starting from August 14 2024 & still no process. I have had to have paperwork fixed and resent which is what I have done. I asked for a supervisor call back on 10/25/2024 & today is 10/30/2024 but no call. This process of how Group isn’t in contact with the team doing the last review is very difficult. I can’t speak to them, they can’t speak to them directly so every time I call I’m only talking to Representatives and all of them are looking into what they think I need to do. It’s prolonged this whole process!!!! No form of management has reached out even after filing 2 complaints online, requesting a supervisor 3 times since 10/25/2024. Then I’m sure this would not be fixed even after writing this customer complaint. I am with them through my employer ************************. I know I will be looking into a different company regarding Short Term Disability, Critical Illness & Death. I can’t imagine my children or husband having to go through this company for assistance after I’m dead. I can’t wait for Open Enrollment!! When big companies like this are known our little complaints are mediocre to them. We are the small people. One Rep told me “ You might not want to complain before your claim is finished” I knew from then…

My disabled veteran husband had a heart attack, stayed two days in the hospital.
      It was a VA hospital.
Aflac is REFUSING to pay anything after receiving a signed aflac document from the surgeon who did the angioplasty stating the heart attack diagnosis. Aflac has received 57 pages of details regarding all of this information the VA hospital.
Aflac has denied it now for over a month because I haven't supplied a BILL From the VA? THEY DONT BILL VETERANS!
My policy has been active since 2015 and is on an occurrence bases of heart attack or stroke, and stays/treatment due to heart attack and stroke.
Now being told that if AN ITEMIZED BILL is not received, my claim will be closed within 30 days...
I consider this DISCRIMINATION against veterans at a gross level!
