      Dear ******** ****,

Lendmark Financial Services, LLC (hereinafter referred to as Lendmark) is in receipt of your consumer complaint. We have had the opportunity to review the complaint and will address your concerns as follows.

You and ******* ***** entered an interest-bearing direct consumer installment loan secured by consumer goods on September 12, 2023, in which $5,000.00 was paid to you directly in cash proceeds. As fully disclosed on the Disclosure Statement, Promissory Note, and Security Agreement, (the Loan Agreement) the original amount financed was $ ******** with an interest rate of *****%, a total payment of $10,322.88, to be repaid over 48 months in $215.06 monthly payments. You made 10 payments on this loan, twelve late fees were assessed, and two payments were returned incurring an *** fee.

Throughout the course of the loan, you were granted two payment deferments to assist with your financial hardship. However, you have failed to make timely payments as required to satisfy the terms of the installment loan and as a result Lendmark initiated its collection process which includes legal remedies.

A copy of the promissory note and payment history has been mailed to the address on file for review.

We believe this satisfies the requirements of your inquiry. Should you have any additional questions please contact your local branch or email us at *************************************** .

I am rejecting this response because: I had no way to know I was going to be diagnosed with another mental health condition. I was not intentionally not making my payments. I was told if there was an illness preventing me from paying my loan it would be forgiven through the companys insurance. I was recently diagnosed with *******************************. I already was previously diagnosed with ****************. So yes one condition I have was a preexisting condition which is why they denied my loan forgiveness. But they based that on the date I started seeing my psychiatrist. Not by knowing anything else about my condition. This is unfair. I dont care what Lendmark claims about my payments made. Its irrelevant to the problems I have. If I wasnt disabled I would be making my payments.

      Sincerely,

I was told over the phone by ******* that I was approved for a loan. I drove almost an hour to the branch to be told that there was an "exception " in the computer system preventing me from being able to close the loan. I have no problem at all with the fact that I was not approved, it was the unprofessionalism in allowing me to drive almost an hour there, wasting my time and my gas, to be told that unfortunately her previous approval was incorrect. When I asked for a manager, she stated that "HE had already looked at it", when in fact the manager is a female. Make sure the information you are given is correct before driving to this business and wasting your time!

I got some truck accessories from ************************* and used Lendmark to finance it all. The things I got was all wrong so Leonards reordered it and everything was correct besides the brush guard so they had to reorder it. It came in and I got it installed nearly 4 months after my original purchase date. I encountered many other issues with Leonards so filed a report on them and was contacted by the manager of Leonards which told me hed give me $1300 credit due to everything. I agreed and decided to go for a trailer instead of replacing the damaged cover. I was told the trailer would be mine and was a completely different deal from the other items. Well it turns out they removed the cover and added the trailer to the original contract without my consent or knowledge. I immediately reached out to Lendmark who assured me nothing would be finalized without my consent. I was then contacted by a manger of Lendmark who did say he had a personal relationship with the manger I spoke with from Leonards and that I needed to return everything or the contract was valid. Never once to look at my proofs that this trailer was not apart of the other items. An issue with Leonards was that the items I got was cheaper than what was originally ordered and Leonards admitted that yet still filed the contract without the incorrect prices. Under no circumstances should a manager of a financial institution have a personal friendship with a company they work with. I want the lien released from my trailer and the prices corrected. Lendmark should have told Leonards that they need to fix the issues with me or they wouldnt accept the much altered contract they was given. Also absolutely under no circumstances should Lendmark have accepted a contract that was 4 months old! Definitely some illegal, unprofessional, and predatory practices occurring here.

This complaint is in regards to Lendmark account number **********. Both the local *******, Ga branch manager ******* ******* and personnel at the *************, Ga corporate office have refused repeated written requests via email to the branch, and oral request in the case of the corporate office, to provide me a detailed payment ledger of how each months payment was applied to principal, interest and deferred interest.I have great concern about an extremely long extended maturity date on my loan and excessive interest payments made not applied to principal. I have personal perspective that Lendmark acts in a predatory manner not in the interest of consumers and am preparing a investigation request for the Federal Consumer Financial ***************** which I disclosed to Lendmark in making the request for the detailed payment ledger.
