Landmark financed my car thru a dealership. The dealership gave me a temp tag three months in a row. After I further investigated I realized I was not the owner of the car and Lendmark was not the lien holder. I bought this to their attention in November 2024. I was paying for a car I am not the owner of and they are not the lien holder. I told them and I am continuing to pay for something I dont own and they have no interest in the car. I called head quarters and filled a complaint and wanted to know why wasnt the loan cancelled out and my account credited, no one ever called me back. I was told the complaint is open and ****** will follow up with me. Its been over a week and still no call from corporate. The office finally called wanting a payment for January and I asked them if I paid the loan off today what will I receive, not a title to a car Im paying on. The agent said nothing and this has been known since November!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I was informed by the local ********** that the title was a savage title and this woman gave me this bit of information without hesitation. I hadn't even ask for it, so I was very shocked when she told me this. Plus the registration clearly states 100% total loss claim. I informed the Lendmark office in *********** immediately after finding out, and told them my concerns then. This was February of 2024, I purchased the car in December of 2023 so about a month after. I knew then I made a bad decision. It brokedown on me in June of 2024 not even 6 months after purchasing the car. I paid for the repairs out of pocket and the car broke down again less then a week later... This experience has really taken a toll on me. Overall worse experience ever purchasing a car...This has hurt me physically and mentally. I'm struggling everyday just to make it to my job, take my children to doctors appointments, grocery shopping and etc. Having to find a ride has been a struggle. My job requires me to have a stable ride and I don't have that. I've missed alot of time from work due to not being able to commute to and from work. This car was my primary mode of transportation. Now I'm use other means to go anywhere. It has become to much and I would like for Lendmark to come and get the car. I no longer want the car..I know I have a responsibility to pay the loan and I want to do ******* I hope that we can work something out, but I ask you to please take into consideration, that I have to pay for rides to and from wherever I go and **** is not cheap. The lowest I've ever paid for a ride is $45 dollars, I'm a single parent with no other income but from my employer. Maybe we could work out something that's affordable and reasonable. Not asking for sympathy but some type of understanding. I mean what would you do? I'm just trying to make it and take care of my children. We all have made bad decisions and hopefully learned a ****** behind it. I've learned mines. Now I'm just trying figure out what we could do to help each other, because having a vehicle that doesn't run doesn't help me and in return it doesn't help Lendmark because I can't afford to make a payment on a car that doesn't benefit me or my family.
Sincerely,

I was asked if I wanted Nov and Dec off from making payments on my loan to pay the vetinarian for my dog's illness and subsequent death in November 2023. Instead of extending my loan by 2 **** they now show it as paid in full, then started another loan at 4+% higher interest rate! This was not told to me or explained at all. It was deceptive and should be illegal to do that. They are praying on the elderly as I am 76yrs old and they are acting like loan sharks. Yes, I signed some papers over the internet but all i was sent was the signature page. Again nothing was explained to me about what was about to happen.Business Response

There were six payments made on this account.
On November 21, 2024, you refinanced the previous loan. The amount paid on the prior loan was $ *******.
