      I was given 2 different prescriptions from the same eye exam by the Dr. *** another exam.Glasses returned. Still charged for bad exam.

      After I paid for eyeglasses to correct my vision, it took them 2 times to correct the lenses. After the second try, I was told I cant get a refund. So I have no glasses and no refund

      I purchased glasses in February. Over the summer I received an additional bill for $20. I didn't think much of it and paid the additional $20. It is now September and I received a bill for an additional $70. I called and asked about the additional charges. I was told that the initial payment in February was an "estimate" based on insurance. All other companies I have purchased glasses from had no additional charges. Seems that America's Best could do better with charges and make it clear to customers that there may be additional charges later on. Seven months is a very long time to determine insurance coverage. This will certainly be my last purchase.

      AMERICAS BEST ADVERTISED A SPECIAL , PAIR OF PROGRESSIVE LENSE GLASSES FOR ****** I WENT THERE BECAUSE I HAD JUST BROKEN MY GLASSES BEYOND REPAIR.AFTER ALL THE PAPERWORK HAD BEEN FILLED OUT, THE PERSON HELPING ME TELLS ME THAT MY TOTAL WAS 634 DOLLARS. i HAD THE AD UP ON MY SELL PHONE AND SHOWED IT TO HIM, I ASKED WHAT ABOUT THE SPECIAL YOU'RE RUNNING. I SHOWED HIM THE AD AND HE SAID THAT APPLIED TO A CERTAIN TYPE OF LENSE ONLY. I SIMPLY SAID : SHOW ME WHERE IT SAYS THAT HE COULD NOT AND SINCE I WAS WITHOUT GLASSES AND NEED THEM TO SEE I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO BUY THE GLASSES. THAT IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND AGAINST THE **** AFTER I WAS HOME I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND OTHER PEOPLE ON THE WEBSITE REDDIT THAT HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUE, AMERICAS BEST WAITS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE AND IT'S TOO LATE FOR YOU TO BACK OUT OF THE DEAL AS YOU HAVE ALREADY SIGNED AGREEMENT BEFORE ENTERING YOUR CARD. SO YOUR LEGALLY LIABLE AND HAVE NO CHOICE,

      I signed up for an appointment on the website and I accepted the appointment. The same day I was called back and asked if I would mind rescheduling. I stated of course not. They rescheduled me for another day. I accepted the appointment. The day of that appointment they called and tried to reschedule again. I explained this time I couldn't because the following day I had other matters to care for. So I came into the store and was told that I could not be seen at the appointment time granted to me. The *** stated that I could go and come back in a hour and to come back and be told the Optometrist was gone to lunch and come back in a FEW HOURS to be seen. I have been told only after this experience that this is a common practice. All I can state that this particular office really needs better management if this is a common practice. I am so disappointed a waste of time and money.

      Terrible experience with Eastgate Ohio Branch. Every time I call I am on hold forever, prices were expensive in my opinion, so I tried to fill prescription somewhere else only to find out the ** put a specific type of daily on the prescription that I had never mentioned using before. It was a very expensive type. Called to have the brand changed and they wanted me to come back in for an appointment to change brand because it had been 60 days. Money money money is all they care about in my experience. Dont fall for marketing hype.

      I would never recommend Americas best again. I went to the store in Cypress Tx on 7/22 to order contacts and glasses for my son. 30 days the later the contacts are still not here and I cant get the prescription until I get the contact. This is going to cost me extra to take my son to a new eye doctor for a new prescription. This is ridiculous

      I recently purchased 3pair of glasses. All three the lenses are defective. It is past the time to return them. Probably wont purchase from there again!

      My daughter went to get her exam for contacts. With our insurance we get an allotment allowance and we can use it in any form we choose. They charge my daughter for a copay that we didn't have. I called them and explained the situation. My daughter went to get her refund for the copay She was told since she asked for her copay back they no longer want her as a patient. WE NEVER HAD A COPAY AND THEY WERE CHARGING ONE. THIS IS FRAUD!!!

      The sales associate ****** at the ************** location was outstanding! My glasses broke, and she said it would take two weeks to make a new pair. I could not go two weeks without my glasses and I had no back up pairs. She went looking and found a clearance frame that was the exact size of my lenses and made the switch! I will be ordering several new pair from them.
