    Dear ******************,

We are in receipt of your correspondence through the Better Business Bureau.  Thank you for taking time to express your concerns.  It is not our desire to send mail to anyone who wishes not to receive it so first and foremost let me apologize for any concerns our mailing has caused you.

Distribution Processing Center provides mail services on behalf of commercial entities that market legitimate products and services to the general public.  We mail for many insurance companies and agents.

We do have an Opt-Out Site (www.dpcoptout.com) that can be used instead of filing a BBB compliant. Our opt-out site was built to try to help consumers.  We are not required to do this, but we built the site so that consumers could easily opt out of all mailings we do on behalf of our clients.  We even go as far as providing them information to opt out nationally.  The sole purpose of this site is maintaining a complete and comprehensive Do Not Mail List.

As per your request, we have opted you out of our future mailings.  If you wish to opt out of similar mailings, it is best to use a national DNM Registry such as DMAChoice (DMAChoice.org)

I hope this has addressed your concern.

Today 6/28-2024 I received a letter from Distribution Processing Center stating as a resident of ********, you are entitled to more benefits, not provided by governmental funds. You now have access to 2024 state regulated programs which will pay 100% of all final expenses up to $35,000. Return this postage paid card within five days to request this new benefit information. They sent me the letter to my address with my name on it but yet are asking me to fill out my name and my address along with my phone number. Makes no sense. The letter states that you must respond by 7/11 of 2024. At the bottom of the letter, it says not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. They apparently have my address and my name, so, The only thing they are lacking is my phone number. Just so they can solicit me for more information about myself. Or solicit me for buying things from them. So the letter actually has nothing to do with state related programs that will help pay for final expenses up to $35,000, of what. The letter states that it will pay final expenses up to $35,000 through a state Program for what? This letter is nothing more than soliciting for more information and a phone number about somebody it needs to stop. Ridiculous. They better hope I dont get one more or they will be hearing from my attorney.

Distribution Processing Center, LLC has been sending me letters and calling my number about a second attempt to receive benefits that the government is withholding with Mississippi residents. This is so unprofessional trying to lure people in stating the gov. owe money. What's your agenda? Please REMOVE MY NUMBER AND ADDRESS OFF YOUR CALL LIST AND MAILING LIST! There is no valid information about this matter , just a form to fill out and when you call the number back, you get a bogus AI sounding answering service with no info or human to speak with. Please get a life and a real job and stop harassing people. There are too many complaints for this to be legitimate. Leave me alone!!

This is a follow-up complaint for Distribution Processing Center, ***********************************. I found that their answer to the most recent complaint was disingenuous at best, outright fraudulent at worst. This is a marketing agency that blankets geographical areas based on demographics, especially the elderly.First, labeling the envelope as SECOND NOTICE when a first notice was not delivered attempts to play on elderly populations who fear that they have missed a matter that requires prompt action the mailing of all. Many may fear a lapse in some form of coverage.Second, inside there is a deadline to respond. Mine was 5/15/2024. If this is soliciting on behalf of companies, why the deadline. And why just two weeks from receipt of the second notice.Third, all the information that they ask for, except for a phone number, is already known. That one ask is a tell. If this were a true second notice, the provider would have all the pertinent information. Fourth and last, their disclaimer about not being a government agency is 7 or 8 point in size and italicized. If they truly wanted the recipient to know it is not from a government agency, why do they use small print size tucked away at bottom left corner?Words, how they are used, and where they are placed, makes a monumental difference in perception.Sorry but the stink meter on this is off the charts. It misleads, misrepresents, and cloaks the real reason for the mail piece

    Dear **************,

We have receiv** your concerns via the Better Business Bureau.  Thank you for expressing them.

Distribution Processing Center provides mail services on behalf of commercial entities that market legitimate products and services to the general public.  We mail for many insurance companies and agents.  Our mailers are requir** to be generic and not reference any specific plan information because we are not sure at the time of mailing which company/agent will receive the return** lead.  So, by law we are requir** to be generic in our messaging.  Also, since we are not the licens** insurance agent we cannot talk about specific plans. We mail generically and then forward leads to agents who are interest** in buying leads in the geographic areas in which leads have come in.  That is also why there is no insurance company/agent list** on the mailer as it may not go to that company/agent.  When we are talking about new benefits, we are referring to the many new plans that come out each and every year.  For example, there recently has been a new plan that will cover up to $ ********* in funeral expenses.  This plan was not around in previous years.  Again, since we cannot be specific to a plan we have to speak in general terms.

We would like to emphasize that our business operates in compliance with multiple governing bodies to produce mail campaigns that generate consumer interest in legitimate insurance, financial, and other products. We are not engag** in phishing, scams, or misleading consumers nor are our many reputable clients.

In many industries, including ours, leads are often generat** without an intend** end client or sales agent in mind. Therefore, it is important that mailers remain generic enough to be follow** up on by the most appropriate provider of the desir** products or services in the responding individuals area. This is also meant to enhance the consumer experience by allowing them to be pair** with the best fit for their ne**s.

We often utilize generic design and basic form elements to help facilitate the intake of important contact information in a limit** amount of space, but these designs are not intend** to mimic any other documents.

It is not our desire to send mail to anyone who wishes not to receive it so first and foremost let me apologize for any concerns our mailings have caus** you.

I received a letter from distribution processing center yesterday (March 27, 2024). The envelope was stamped in red " second notice". Although the form inside gave the appearance of an IRS form, reading carefully it stated it had nothing to do with any government agency. This is obviously a scam aimed at ******* ***********'s title was "new 2024 benefit information for ******* residents". Very deceptive and convoluted info. They need to be red-flagged or stopped completely. I thank the BBB for it's online alert.

I get ********* cash if I die? I am rejecting this response because:I am presently on the Natinonal Do Not Mail List as are several others who have stated their complaint. Do I need to remind you what your response was to them? You response is laughable and you essentially pass the buck. A business that takes zero accountability is a flawed business and deserves nothing but it's own medicine. So I will continue to fill out your cards with bogus info and not my personal info and encourage others to do the same

    Business Response

    Date: 03/27/2024

    Dear ****************,

We understand that you did not appreciate the mailing you received from us and have since removed you from any future mailings we produce.

In response to your rejection before our initial reply, wed like to emphasize that our business operates in compliance with multiple governing bodies to produce mail campaigns that generate consumer interest in legitimate insurance, financial, and other products. We are not engaged in phishing, scams, or misleading consumers nor are our many reputable clients.

In many industries, including ours, leads are often generated without an intended end client or sales agent in mind. This is also meant to enhance the consumer experience by allowing them to be paired with the best fit for their needs.

Our clients are not in the practice of mailing to customers who do not want to receive their mailers, as it costs them money.  Once a customer requests to be added to OUR Do Not Mail List or optout online, this is done in a timely manner.   Many mailers look the same so it is important to note that opting out with us will only prevent OUR clients mailers from being mailed to you.  It will not prevent you from receiving similar-looking mailings from the hundreds of other companies mailing for such offers. I would advise you to register with a National Do Not Mail Registry to ensure you are blocked from receiving all similar mail.

You have been added to OUR Do Not Mail List and will not receive any additional mailings from OUR clients.  I encourage you to follow up with the National Do Not Mail Registry or OptOutPrescreen to have your issues resolved.
