I have been receiving fraudulent notices from the "distribution processing center" in *****************. I have never done business with any company under that name. I have never given them permission to contact me for any reason. They are harassing me with regular letters every two to three weeks claiming second/final notice each time and claiming they are contacting me about benefits. They have no affiliation with my employer or anyone else who I have ever done business with. They need to stop contacting me immediately as this is a clear example of harassment and my next action will be pressing charges against them!Business Response

Dear ******************,
Thank you for expressing your concerns through the Better Business Bureau.
Distribution Processing Center provides mail services on behalf of commercial entities that market products and services to the general public. The communication you received is a legitimate service. Consumers who are not interested in the products can opt out of any future mailings processed by DPC so they will no longer receive them. We understand you are frustrated. We have opted you out from all future mailings of our clients processed by Distribution Processing Center.
If you wish to opt out of similar mailings, it is best to use a national DNM registry such as DMAChoice (DMAChoice.org)
We strive to answer all concerns that a consumer may have and apologize for any inconvenience this unwanted mail has caused you.

Better Business Bureau:I am already on the do not call and do not mail registries so they should have never contacted me in the first place. Any future contact from them will result in a lawsuit for harassment against their company.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sent a letter first time ever received says 2nd notice. This is meant to mislead. I also noticed they recommended to get on registry so mail isn't sent. For those who say they are on registry they then pass the buck and say since we are a 3rd party we essentially can't stop the mail even though they give the registry as advice to stop sending their mail. Guys I say fill it out like I did with bogus fake name fake address fake everything. And then send back to them its fast free and maybe if they get enough of these they'll stop? I sometimes let my kids make up the names and addresses. Some sound legit some are ridiculous but hv fun with it and spread the word! Life is too short!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I am presently on the Natinonal Do Not Mail List as are several others who have stated their complaint. Do I need to remind you what your response was to them? You response is laughable and you essentially pass the buck. A business that takes zero accountability is a flawed business and deserves nothing but it's own medicine. So I will continue to fill out your cards with bogus info and not my personal info and encourage others to do the same.

Dear ********************,
We have responded to your complaint and are disappointed that it does not meet your satisfaction.
Our clients are not in the practice of mailing to customers who do not want to receive their mailers, as it costs them money. Once a customer requests to be added to OUR Do Not Mail List or optout online, this is done in a timely manner. Many mailers look the same so it is important to note that opting out with us will only prevent OUR clients mailers from being mailed to you. It will not prevent you from receiving similar-looking mailings from the hundreds of other companies mailing for such offers. I would advise you to update your account with the National Do Not Mail Registry to ensure you are blocked from receiving all similar mail.
You have been added to OUR Do Not Mail List and will not receive any additional mailings from OUR clients. I encourage you to follow up with the National Do Not Mail Registry or OptOutPrescreen to have your issues resolved.

Dear **************,
We have received your concerns via the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for expressing them.
Distribution Processing Center provides mail services on behalf of commercial entities that market legitimate products and services to the general public. We mail for many insurance companies and agents. Our mailers are required to be generic and not reference any specific plan information because we are not sure at the time of mailing which company/agent will receive the returned lead. So, by law we are required to be generic in our messaging. Also, since we are not the licensed insurance agent we cannot talk about specific plans. We mail generically and then forward leads to agents who are interested in buying leads in the geographic areas in which leads have come in. That is also why there is no insurance company/agent listed on the mailer as it may not go to that company/agent. When we are talking about new benefits, we are referring to the many new plans that come out each and every year. For example, there recently has been a new plan that will cover up to $ ********* in funeral expenses. This plan was not around in previous years. Again, since we cannot be specific to a plan we have to speak in general terms.
We do have an Opt-Out Site (www.dpcoptout.com) that can be used instead of filing a BBB complaint. Our opt-out site was built to try to help consumers. We are not required to do this, but we built the site so that consumers could easily opt out of all mailings we do on behalf of our clients. We even go as far as providing the consumer information to opt out nationally. The sole purpose of this site is maintaining a complete and comprehensive Do Not Mail List.
Many mailers look the same so it is important to note that opting out with us will only prevent our clients mailings from being mailed to you. It will not prevent you from receiving similar-looking mailings from the hundreds of other companies mailing such offers.
It is not our desire to send mail to anyone who wishes not to receive it so first and foremost let me apologize for any concerns our mailings have caused you.
We have you and ************************* (recipient) out of our future mailings. If you wish to opt out of similar mailings, it is best to use a national DNM Registry such as DMAChoice (DMAChoice.org)I hope that we have addressed your concerns.

Distribution Processing Center POBox 689 ********, ** ***** They continue to send me junk mail that I have repeatedly sent return to sender. They claim they created an opt out site for consumers to opt out of their mailings but their site DMAChoice.org is just another scam tactic to get your personal information. They have been reported to the *** and need to be put out of business. And they stamp the envelopes 2nd notice and final notice to make it look like a collections. If it was a final notice months ago why am I still receiving mailings from them. They are in violation of the National Do Not Mail registry.Business Response

I am rejecting this response until it is proven to me I never receive another correspondence from them again. If I receive another correspondence ever further action will be taken. And I want compensation immediately for them sending me a piece of mail that gives the appearance that it comes from a collection agency. Once I receive compensation and do not receive any further correspondence for 2 years at that point I will accept their response.

Dear ******************,
We understand that you did not appreciate the mailing you received from us and have since removed you from any future mailings we produce.
In response to your rejection of our initial reply, wed like to emphasize that our business operates in compliance with multiple governing bodies to produce mail campaigns that generate consumer interest in legitimate insurance, financial, and other products. We are not engaged in phishing, scams, or misleading consumers nor are our many reputable clients.
In many industries, including ours, leads are often generated without an intended end client or sales agent in mind. Therefore, it is important that mailers remain generic enough to be followed up on by the most appropriate provider of the desired products or services in the responding individuals area. This is also meant to enhance the consumer experience by allowing them to be paired with the best fit for their needs. As previously stated, you have been added to our Do Not Mail list and have opted you out of our client's future mailings.

I am rejecting this response because: They did not even address the issue of them sending mailings to appear as they are coming from a debt collector stamped 2nd Notice in red on the outside of envelope. And they don't even stop sending even when they send one stamped Final Notice. I will only accept response once I'm properly compensated.

I am sick and tired of getting correspondence from this anonymous but irritating company - not let me me correct that - this bogus addresser who wants my personal information.. The bigger issue is that they are mailing thier JUNK in envlopes that say 'Second Notice' as if this some kind of collection effort. This is a form of slander and public embrassment. Additionally, the anonymity of no number, no website, no email says they are shady and don't want to be tracked but 'just fill out this card with all of your information' Really??? This is a scam of the highest order, yet it is inended to embarass the addressee to force them to open the letter. Please charge this company with some kind of mail fraud, as their intent is using the **** to extract unsolicted info and money schemes from persons not requesting services. Get my name from this complaint and REMOVE it from any further correspondence from you and any of your partners, affiliates and ayone else that you share 'lists' with for any kind of service, product or engagement of any source. Anyone you know, I don't want to hear from. And STOP putting Second and Third notice on the outside of the envelopes - this is public shaming, and you know it. Passive aggressive throwing rocks and then hiding your hand. Anyone working for you should be ashamed to be a part of such a scam!Business Response
