IN NOVEMBER OR 2023, I ENROLLED IN ASHWORTH COLLEGE TO COMPLETE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT THE ENTIRE PROGRAM WOULD COST ME APPROXIMATELY $2200-$2500 (I WILL HAVE TO GO BACK AND LISTEN TO THE ***** RECORDING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE AND MYSELF TO GET THE EXACT AMOUNT). I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE INEXPENSIVE TUITION AND I ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM. I SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE ENTIRE PROGRAM 3/2024. I CONTINUED TO MAKE MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS ON TIME. WHEN I FINISHED THE BACHELOR'S DEGREE, I EMAILED AND CALLED THE SCHOOL TO GET MY BALANCE TO PAY OFF THE REMAINING FEES AND TO RECEIVE MY BACHELOR'S DEGREE. I WAS TOLD THAT I OWED ALMOST $10,000! ASHWORTH SCAMMED ME AND KEPT SENDING CONTRACTS TO ME THAT I THOUGHT WAS JUST A REHASHING OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT. ASHWORTH WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO ADVANCE TO MY NEXT CLASS IF I DIDN'T SIGN ADDITIONALLY PAPERWORK. ASHWORTH HAS BEEN ***D FOR FRAUDULENT PRACTICES AND HAS BEEN FORCED TO PAY MILLIONS TO THEIR VICTIMS. I TOO AM A VICTIM OF ASHWORTH'S DEMONIC AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. I AM REQUESTING THAT I RECEIVE MY HARD EARNED DEGREE AND THAT THEY REMOVE THEIR COLLECTIONS FROM OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT. I HAVE EXCELLENT CREDIT AND ASHWORTH IS THE ONLY NEGATIVE ITEM ON MY PERFECT CREDIT REPORT. AS A RESULT MY CREDIT HAS PLUMMETED. I INTEND TO LODGE A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE ************************ AS WELL AS HAVE MY ATTORNEY *** ASHWORTH FOR ALL OF THE MENTAL STRESS, MENTAL ANGUISH AND OTHER ADVERSE HEALTH IS***S ASHWORTH HAS CAUSED ME. ALTHOUGH ASHWORTH LOCKED ME OUT OF THE SCHOOL'S PORTAL, I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO RETRIEVE AND KEEP THE CONTRACT, EVERY EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE AND ***** THAT I HAD WITH ASHWORTH. I LIVE IN **, A "ONE PARTY CONSENT STATE." I'M SURE MY ATTORNEY WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH ME. ASHWORTH IS A CORRUPT/ CROOKED "INSTITUTION." GOD SITS HIGH, BUT HE SEES LOW. I am grateful for the opportunity to address Ms. ******** concerns. Ms. ******* officially enrolled in the ************************* Program with Ashworth College on November 8, 2023, by completing and submitting a signed enrollment agreement and fulfilling the necessary down payment requirements.

I have reviewed the enrollment call discussion that took place between our team and Ms. ******** as well as the signed enrollment agreement. Our enrollment agreements clearly outline the cost for the semester that the student is currently enrolling in and also the overall estimated program cost. This information is listed on page 2 of Ms. ******** signed enrollment agreement.

I am filing a complaint against Ashworth College for billing me $2,985 for services that were not fully provided.I enrolled in the third semester of my program, which included five courses and one semester exam. Unfortunately, due to Ashworth Colleges inability to provide the required documentation needed by my employer for tuition reimbursement, I had no choice but to cancel my enrollment. Before the cancellation, I had already completed coursework and submitted an essay for grading. I requested to complete the semester exam and have my submitted work evaluated so I could earn credit for the semester and make arrangements for payment. However, Ashworth College denied my request and stated that once an account is canceled, they do not allow re-enrollment or course completioneven though I had already done the majority of the work.Despite their refusal to provide the remaining services or credits, Ashworth continues to charge me $2,985. I believe this is an unfair business practice, as I am being billed for a service that was not fully delivered and that I was willing and ready to complete.Resolution Sought:I am requesting that Ashworth College either: Allow me to complete the semester exam and grade the essay I submitted so that I may receive the appropriate credit and arrange payment; or Remove the $2,985 charge entirely, as the semester was not completed and no credits were awarded.I believe this is a reasonable and fair request, and I am asking for the BBBs assistance in resolving this matter.

    Complaint: 23221926

I am rejecting this response because:
While I appreciate the acknowledgment that I completed 4 out of 5 courses and earned 12 credits for Semester 3, I need to clarify several key points.
I have called Ashworth College multiple times and spoken with different representatives. I was consistently told that once I unenrolled, I could not re-enroll or complete any remaining coursework. This directly contradicts the statement in your response that I would be welcome to re-enroll. Additionally, no one offered a payment plan or alternative solution that would allow me to resolve the issue and complete the semester.
I made every reasonable effort to finish the semester and even submitted coursework that remains ungraded. I also requested documentation needed by my employer for tuition reimbursement, which was never providedforcing me to cancel my enrollment. Now I am being held responsible for the full $2,985 charge, even though I was denied the opportunity to finish the semester and did not receive full credit.
    Resolution Sought:
I respectfully request one of the following:
Allow me to complete the final semester exam and receive full credit for Semester 3, OR
Adjust or remove the $2,985 charge to reflect the fact that the semester was not completed and full services were not delivered.
I am simply asking for a fair resolution to a situation I made every effort to correct.

I enrolled in semesters 3 and 4 utilizing a benefit provided by the city for which I work, which covers my student loans. Unfortunately, Ashworth College repeatedly failed to provide a detailed invoice that included the courses and associated charges, despite my numerous requests.Due to their refusal to provide the necessary information, I requested my advisor to withdraw me from semester 4. However, I was not informed that I would still be responsible for the entire tuition amount without receiving credits for the courses. When I later attempted to re-enroll, I was advised that re-enrollment was no longer an option. Instead, I was informed that I must pay the $5,970 in a lump sum or face the account being sent to collections.I believe this constitutes poor business practice, as I am being charged for courses I am not taking. I respectfully request a fair resolution to this matter.

I have created multiple tickets pertaining to the same exact thing and never getting an answer. Ive been told to contact the transcript evaluation department and the email that was given to me came back undeliverable. I have literally laid out everything that needs to happen, but nobody is listening. I was told that My semester FOUR credit was already given. As you look at my account, you see that I only have transfer credits for semester one semester two and semester three. I am contacting in regard to my term FOUR and THREE transfer credits. I received a final email saying that my term 4 transfer credits have already been applied. They have not been applied. I got transfer credits for semester one of $474, Semester two for $237 and semester three for $474. With all those amount being credited 2/5 due to the fact of me never being credited from the start of enrolling in those semesters, my overall balance due for semester three is $599. Then I enrolled into semester FOUR due to the fact of not having to take any classes for semester three. When I Enrolled into term 4 It added a balance of $1785. My term four balance AFTER credits should be $837. I have four transfer classes at three credit to piece. I was told each credit is worth $79. So my term four balance should come to $837. (which is weird because I am paying $800 for one class) My overall due up until this date is $1427. This is a combination of semester three and four. The amount reflected on my student portal, absolutely not correct. I would like my balance for semester three and four to reflect the amount owed after my transfer credits have been applied. I know on your end my ledger says I owe $599 due for term three. Not including the amount owed for term four. I was sent a screenshot by learning support showing my three transfer credits for semester one two and three there have been no transferred credits for term four. Please resolve this issue promptly. I do not want to pay more on this account.

I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding unethical business practices, misrepresentation, and potential fraud that I have experienced as a student of Ashworth College and Penn Foster. Despite numerous attempts to resolve these issues internally, I have faced ongoing negligence, financial damages, and a lack of transparency regarding my academic progress and tuition charges.I enrolled in the Bachelors program under the explicit understandingconfirmed by a representative of your institutionthat I had a set number of courses to complete to obtain my degree. Upon fulfilling these course requirements, I was then informed that additional courses had been added, contradicting prior statements made by your representatives. This conduct amounts to misrepresentation and breach of agreement, as I made financial and academic decisions based on your institutions assurances.Furthermore, my transcript has been unilaterally revised multiple times, making it appear as though I require additional coursework beyond what was originally stated. The frequent and unexplained modifications to my academic record raise concerns about bad faith practices and potential falsification of records, which could constitute fraud.I have attended three accredited colleges prior to Ashworth/Penn Foster, and I was informed that my transfer credits had maxed out upon enrollment. However, your institution's transcript evaluation does not align with this representation, and I have not received full credit for my prior coursework, leading to unnecessary additional course requirements. Your continued failure to provide a clear, consistent, and justified evaluation of my transfer credits constitutes gross negligence and academic misrepresentation.

I did not confirm any additional courses need to be met per our last email correspondence 2/19, except that you are continuing to add courses and course work as well as holding my bachelors degree hostage. Your school has also not addressed the several ongoing issues occurred nor have they remedied any of those issues appropriately. The math is also inaccurate as expressed in your email.
