I, *************************, have been trying to get my car back from ********** title loans for about a month going now, after turning in all needed documents to ******* , the manager at ********** title loans located on ********** and *********, to retrieve my car she then denied me access alleging that my car had been sold. I then contacted ******** the alleged company my car had been sold with & after speaking with the manager there I found out my car had in fact not been sold and I was told I would be able to get my car from them as long as ********** title loans had signed release for my car. I went to ********** titles loans after being on the phone with ******* and another worker dealing with complete unprofessional work conduct , dealing with them lying, yelling , being hung up on several times , being told to not call the company etc. upon arrival a worker cracked the building door open and said nothing more than we sold your car already followed by her shutting the door in my face , still I am persistent on retrieving my car so I let the worker know I spoke with ******** and found out they were lying , she admitted that she was just instructed by ******* , her manager, to tell me that in case I went over there. That same day I waited for ******* to show up to ********** title loans after getting some things squared away, reviewing policies and paperwork I came to the conclusion that I in fact was being denied my car against policy stating You can get the property back at any time before we sell it by paying us the full amount you owe, including our expenses. which I had tried to do that day but again, ******* denied working with me. I still have been trying to retrieve my car despite having to deal with hostile conversations and lies but I have gotten no where due to ********** title loans. The car was left to me by a friend that had passed away I have my power of attorney, death certificate and all other documents, including payments.Business Response

It's not clear what the consumer wants at this point. It appears he initially responded in April that the matter was resolved. The documents he attached are (1) a ************** of ********* and (2) a state-required notice that is sent out in conjunction with the Company's recovery of a vehicle used as collateral on a loan after the account goes into default. **************** previously provided the ***** of ******** and was advised that it does not suffice to enable him to deal with the account at issue. Instead, he must show he is an heir to the estate that owns the vehicle, through a properly probated will, a probate court order, or some equivalent document. As such, the Company does not believe **************** has provided any new information justifying reopening this matter.
If he has any further concerns, he may call the ********************* at ************************.

Okay so my problem is me and this *************** had an arrangement. It's where I would pay when I could because my job had cut my hours down to 5 hours a week. I've been paying what I. Could I have receipts? I paid 2 weeks ago $50 and I was going to pay tomorrow because I had to sell some of my things to make my next payment. My medications and my money is in the truck. They just have repaid and they told me. They weren't going to have my truck repaid because of what happened with my job as of yesterday. I just got another job that I was going to inform them of but now I don't know how I'm supposed to do that.I have been making my payments I've stuck to the agreement that we had. And the report my truck because of some outside personal issues that. Are? Going. On? Between. My and another person that does not work for the company. But he is really good friends with the lady who works in the office and ever since these problems have started between me and him she quit communicating with. My and she took sides and she brought his stuff that hes telling her into this business arrangement which is not acceptable. It is not business like an I don't appreciate it. I would like my truck back. I've been making the payments and I have the receipts to prove it. They told me and I even signed a piece of paper. Did they would not take my truck as long as I was paying? What I could win I. Could there was no set date or anything of the sort? And the receipts from my payments are in my blood box in the truck so I cannot upload the documents because of that so I'm sorry.Initial Complaint

I took out a title loan and I been experiencing a lot of false information about my my payments through the manager at ****************. I asked for a pay off from the manager and she told me 4000$ and when I got ready to pay it off she came up with a higher amount and I was so angry that she had me to speak to another upper manager and she were Just worse than she was but I think they talked about it and plotted together what to say to me I begged her before hand to please try to lower my payments since I lost my job and my unemployment stop and Im only getting one income. She did it but I think she made it worse of my pay off amount. I started going through the other loan placed to make payments because I didnt want to deal with ****** manager no more and then they started connecting with them and had them treating me differently so I ended up going back to them making my payments and been dealing with more false information and disrespectful problems. I really think they trying to give me a hard time so that I can lose my car but Im not going to let them take my car but Im so tired of dealing with them. Before I had a title loan on my car before this one and I was treated good and I paid it off sooner but when I returned back I been extremely stressed out dealing with them. I really need help in making my payments with someone else instead of dealing with *********. They have been very unprofessional in working with them. Im asking for someone in the corporate office to help me before I seek legal help. I can explain everything when you call me. ************ This is the worst I ever experienced with in company businessBusiness Response

Hello, In 2020 I was incarcerated for 90 day during the summer months for some unpaid tickets. **** Igot out of jail one day I was at home and received a certified letter from CASH COW BANK advance loans about a title loan that was made with them against my 2014 Buick LaCrosse. I knew it was a mistake because although I did have a title loan thru them on the vehicle but i had paid it in full a month or so before I was incarcerated. I figured I just had to show them the proof the loan was paid in full and letter was sent out in error. I called cash cow and explained to them that i paid the loan off but the lady insisted that she specifically remembered me going in and doing the loan. The loan i previously made and paid In full was done in the city which I live (sulphur) and the loan they say i did and received the letter was in a whole different city (*******************). I insisted that i never been in that location and she was mistaken. So i went up there and asked for the loan paperwork and after looking at it realized that first of all the signature on the loan was not mine and second and most importantly the date on the loan was done my when I was incarcerated across the state 4hours away . The bank regional manager was called and i told them this is a mistake. They were very rude and basically called me a liar. There is no possible way that i did the loan because i called the warden of the jail and got a letter saying i was in jail at the time the loan was done .. theres no way I escaped went 4 hours to take out a loan go 4 hours back.. break back into the jail and no one know. The warden verified i was in jail at the time. So i figured that was evidence and proof. So i emailed the letter from the warden to him and verified that he received it. This was on a Thursday he said he would look at the letter and get back with me on Monday. The next day Friday At 3 am a tow truck shows up at my house and repos my car for being late on payments on a loan i did not do. .I called the district manager back and pleaded with him to look at the letter from the warden which he said he had not. He looked at it and acted like he still didnt believe us or he may have and realized he messed up. He then told us to talk to their attorney and or pay the ******* loan note in full plus an extra ******* fee for towing and being delinquent is the only way of getting the car back. We could not afford an attorney and could not afford the $3000.00 loan pay off that we were not even responsible for. This was all during the pandemic ..Both myself and my husband caught ***** and I had 3 kids living with us. We lived out in the country and was basically stranded out there with no transportation. We couldnot go get groceries I couldnt take my daughter to the Dr. **** the quarantine was over we had no transportation to go back to work. We would have to hitch hike into town every so often to get some food from the food bank. . My electricity was cut off because we could not pay our bill. It was hot hot in south ******** that time of the year. We were without electricity a few weeks. They took my only means of transportation to work and to providing for my family. Not long after that hurricane ***** threatened our community and we had no transportation to evacuate. And no transportation during the 8 weeks of no power or running water due to hurricane.I inherited that car from my father just 6 months before that. It was a nice luxury Buick LaCrosse with leather seats. My father never went anywhere and it on had only ****** miles on it. The value at the time I inherited it was $16,000.00 dollars. The loan was for ******* so I see why they repoed the car so quick that was a great business move for them. So I never got my car back, and we went without transportation for a long time. This was a very had time they put us through. Im just now getting back on my feet good with a good job and bought me a little car for transportation. THEY WRONGFULLY STOLE MY CAR!! I didnt have money to hire an attorney to *** them for this until now,.The bank had all my information from the previous loans I made with them. Although I never made one at that branch. Somehow someone used my information to do another loan in my name while I was incarcerated. If the manager would of just looked at the proof I sent him instead of his automatic think I was lying he could of avoided the repo. So my question is has statue of limitations run out on taking legal action against this?My name is ****** **********Business Response

Hello this is *************************** I was speaking with **** this morning about the issue that took place he advised me that the regional area over the area would be contacting me back, I shared to him my experience and conversation took place with everything that happened he advised me that he would have the regional manager of the location to call me. In the mean time the regional manager didn't call me, she had the rude manager call me, telling me the information, when I specifically was told the regional manager would call me, I am not sure what type of business is being ruined, there but it is the most disgusting business I have ever dealt with, how a regional manager calls me on a three call when I just shared I had an issue wit her. The most unpleasant experience, I ever had before, who ever the business to be ashamed of this because it is horrible. I am astound on how this whole experience took, place REPO fees should never had to take place for my vehicle, because of the fact agents never communicate with me not one time, in a letter or anything and the regional manager and area manager or horrible, calling me from private numbers calling me on a three way call, Just horrible from a business standpoint. This is the worse experience I ever had, the regional area manager ******** and her district manager is horrible, overall, the issue could of been resolved in a whole another manner but it was not attitude, were taken and everything, the level of disrespect was a all time high, they sware I wentBusiness Response

However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
