CBE has been calling me and texting me at ************ several times during the last 2 weeks. They ask to verify my name and then ask me if I ever lived or currently live at an address in ********** **. I did live at this address several years ago. They ask me to verify my current address, which I will not do. They refuse to discuss the reason for their call without me verifying my current address. I do not have any loans and no collection actions. I consider this harassment and they need to stop as they have no valid reason for calling me. I am rejecting this response because:they have my phone number and my name and my previous address in ********** which has been sold 2 times in the last 3 years. I currently live in ********* zip code ***** and that has been my permanent address for over 12 years. They can find me if they want. I don't have any loans i have taken out,and have never had a student loan. The last 4 of my SSN is 7733. That should be enough info for them to disclose the nature of the collection. If they are unwilling to disclose the nature of the debt then I am asking that my account be removed from their system and any reports to credit bureaus be removed. No reputable company sends text messages with a link to pay. Look at the number of complaints filled on the BBB regarding this company

I have gotten texts on 7/20, 7/22, 7/29 from ************ stating: This message is from the CBE Group, a debt collector. Please contact us at ************ or paycbe.com. Reply 'STOP' to stop texts to this number." I do not want to respond nor click the link. The number does not seem to be valid nor match any of the official CBE numbers that I could find on their website. I have checked every account I have open and do not see an outstanding balance; additionally I have not received any written communication or email informing me that I have an unpaid debt, it's only these generic texts that give me absolutely no information. I have not gotten an alert that I have unpaid balances negatively affecting my credit nor has my credit gone down, so if this is a real debt, they should be sending me an official letter to the address on file for whatever 'debt' they are asking about, not randomly texting me with zero verification of credibility or that they even have the correct person.Business Response

Daily calls from CBE Group on my work phone. Never received a letter. I am NOT overdue or have any collections against me. I have impeccable credit, there are ZERO reasons for this sham of a company to harass me on my work phone. CBD Group has been continually calling me. I received a call from them a few weeks ago and had to look them up online to find out they are a debt collection agency. I then called them back to tell them to stop calling. They said they were calling about a person whom my son knew 15 years ago. We have no idea where or how this person can be located. They then told me they would quit calling. A couple of days ago the calls started again. I want to stop being called.Business Response

These people contacted me in March, 2022 claiming I owe Spectrum $459.98. I disputed the claim and provided 23 pages of emails, ****************** Protection complaint against Spectrum along with a BBB complaint that I filed in 2021. My complaint was Spectrum sent defective products to me and then failed to give me a refund within 14 days according to their policy. I provided emails where shipment was delayed, which the products were not in my possession as they claim.And yet, I am receiving letters from this CBE - despite my clear accretion and evidence - claiming I owe Spectrum. CBE sent a phony 4 -column spreadsheet to me with NO PROOF of any debt that I owe Spectrum. They keep calling my number once a day for months. When I answer the call there is silence on the other line so i dont think a real person is calling. If i do not answer the call they dont leave a voicemail either so how am i supposed to reply I dont have any outstanding bills and dont know why they keep harassing me. It says they are based in **** and the call is verified by my carrier. I finally called back the number they used to contact me *************) and an automated message said to put in my phone number to pull up existing records. Well I did and it said sorry no records match this number! So the automated message said to then state my first and last name so they can try to locate my records. I did that and they said sorry no records came up. Finally the automated message said one last solution is to have me say my social security number for them to try and locate my records. At that point i hung up because it sounds like a SCAM! I have never received anything in the mail from this CBE GROUP either.Business Response

CBE group has been calling me once a week for quite some time now. They never leave voicemails, but my phone caller ID reads CBE Group in ******, ** I have never received anything in the mail regarding any debt collections and I checked my credit report and dont see anything. I do not want to have to click on an unknown link in the text message or email, and I want something in voicemail or writing if there is truly something that needs to be paid. Hello, for the last week , CBE has been calling me. So 7-20-22. I answered my phone and a young lady asked to speak to me. I said this is her, she then asked me for the last 6 numbers of my social Security number and my home address. I asked her why was she calling me. She said that she had to verify who I was before she could discuss the issue any further. I immediately told her to call back. In my mind Im thinking that this is a scam . I dont have any idea who this company is and why they are calling me. No collection letter ! Im a responsible person and I pay my debits.
