      Desserves no starts...

      Worse place to get a loan... screwed us after totaled car... we had insurance, gap insurance and extended warranty and instead of waiting for it all knowing was totaled ... charged us all late fees even after we were 2 months ahead.

      They charge an overdraft fee of 34 even if you are over by $2.00. So they make 32.00 off you being $2.00 negative. I'll be moving my accounts to another bank.

We understand your concern about the overdraft fee, and we'd like to explain our approach further. We will automatically refund an Overdraft Privilege Fee if an account is overdrawn by $5 or less. For instance, a $10 balance with a $13 purchase results in a -$3.00 balance, with the fee refunded during processing. We're actively reviewing our fee structure to ensure it aligns with member expectations. Your insights are crucial to our improvement.       I've been a member of GreenState Credit Union for over 4 years now and currently facing a increase of one of my loans from around 10 percent to 21 percent because the finance department has claimed that they can't find, misplaced, or lost the title to one of my vehicle loans from over 4 years ago.

      In discussing this with the representative from GreenState they made it clear that they provided 3 letters requesting a duplicate title. I can't deny that they did, or did not provide anything as I maintain all my correspondences online and I never keep any mail sent to me as it goes to the shredder once received because all is maintained online. It's also worth mentioning that I don't pay attention to letters coming from an financial institution as its not relevant because these were loans established 4 years back and from my experience most of the letters are some form of advertisement like the company wanting to sell health insurance or some other wonderful program that I myself don't really care for. Anymore, every piece of mail has little importance to the consumer it generally benefits the sender who wants to convince you that they have something great that you need.

      In regards to anyone who sees this venting, please take the time to realize that GreenState is like other financial Institutions who will find an opportunity to TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR THEIR OWN GAIN at your expense if giving the opportunity. It is happening to me as I write this. The truth is in the first paragraph.

      I HAD INSURANCE THAT DIDN'T MEET THE STANDARDS OF GREENSTATE TWO WEEKS LATER I GOT THE REQUIRED INSURANCE. TWO WEEKS GO BUY I GET A LETTER SAYING I OWE 3,OOO FOR COVER COAST. THEY SAID MY NEW MONTHLY CAR NOTE IS 565.00 IT WAS 340.00. I TOLD THEM I COULDN'T AFFORD IT. ASKED IF THEY COULD ROLL THE (3,000) INTO MY CAR LOAN.THEY SAID THEY COULD. FEW WEEKS GO BY I GET A LETTER IN A MAIL WITH A CHECK WITH MY CAR NOTE PAYMENT 341.00. I CALLED TO FIND OUT THAT MY CAR IS ABOUT TO GET REPOED UNLESS I CAME UP WITH THE CASH TO STOP IT. SINGLE MOM OF TWO I CAN'T AFFORD IT. I THEN CHECK MY CREDIT THEY SAID I MISSED THREE MONTHS OF PAYMENTS WHICH IS A LIE!!!!!!!!!! I NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT. THIS WHOLE THING STARTED LAST WINTER SO HOW DID I PAY THEN BUT MISSED LAST THREE MONTHS OF PAYMENTS. SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL FOR MAKING MONEY THIS WAY.

      Over the past year GreenState has gone down hill. Took months for a simple HELOC loan to be processed. The insurance branch, my goodness are they rude. Hope I don’t “waste anymore of their time” as they offer the products. Doesn’t mean I have to purchase or stay. You’re in the job of sales. You win some, you lose some. Move on with your life and understand you’re getting paid for your “wasted time”. Thank you for your help Taylor. I do hope you’re compensated appropriately.

      I had called in to get help with loan payments and ACH and Brenda ****** was amazing. She took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and was thorough in making sure that things had been set up correctly. I would recommend her to anyone and wish there were more people like her.

      GreenState has not stopped their predatory overdraft charges scam even though they had to settle a class action lawsuit just two years ago. They purposefully reorder charges to hit you with the most fees possible and other nonsense to steal money from their customers. When you call them out on their dishonest practices they pretend there’s nothing they can do.

      I stuck with them for nearly 25 years, starting back when they were U of I Community Credit Union. But they have finally overdrawn on my forgiveness and will now pay the penalty of losing my business forever.

      Avoid this for-profit bank pretending to be a community based credit union.

      GreenState values money and profits, period. Your employees have made that very clear. Just stop being dishonest- that's such a low bar to clear. And yet, GreenState is entirely unable to do so under its current leadership.

      After receiving a zillion mailers from Green State, I decided to open a couple of accounts to earn some decent interest they advertised. 4 weeks later - had to constantly contact them to follow up, provided tons of requested documentation, they suddenly changed requirements for their Rewards Plus" checking account, I left the Book Road Naperville, IL branch and will never, ever set foot in a Green State office again. Apparently they didn't want the $30,000+ deposits from a customer with squeaky clean credit. Horrible communication, deceptive advertising and what a waste of my efforts!!

      During the pandemic. Things gone bad I had to file. Ch.13 . But didn’t do anything with my car . I always paid on line. Two years later, they found out and mark me. And took away paying on line. Like I was going to do something. They still have the title so it’s not like I was going to do anything bad..Now I have to mail it or go out of my way to one of there banks to make a payment. This bank wants you to fail because you had hard times. Not for the people that for sure.

      I have had accounts with Green State Credit Union ever since they came to Central Iowa. I was living from check to check for most of that time.
      I've used 3 of their branches and always treated well,
      especially at the Altoona branch.
