Applied for a loan through them and was approved. Had sent my employment info and earnings with my credit application. The approved the loan for an excellent term and interest rate. Then after we sent my paystubs, they rescinded the loan because I'm an owner operator, something they were told ON THE CREDIT APPLICATION. I wasted my entire day working around this auto purchase just to have the rug pulled out from under me because they don't want to work with someone who has already grossed 5 times the amount I'm requesting to borrow by mid April.GreenState Credit Union

Terrible communication, we ended up switching lenders because Eric Norman was so terrible. Never received pre approval letter and for some reason he did underwriting even though we had yet to even put an offer on a home. He also rarely answered emails and was slow to accomplish anything. No people skills. We are young first time home buyers and it felt like we were bottom of his priority list because of our budget.GreenState Credit Union

Liars and cheats. My husband and I switched to this bank because ours was changing their fee policies. We showed them the fees our bank was charging us and we were promised they wouldn't do that. Before we even got our money transferred, they started charging us fees that the woman had assured us they didn't charge for. We closed those accounts and stayed with our previous bank because at least they were transparent. Don't let them cheat you out of a dime.GreenState Credit Union

This company is not for its customers they lie and take
You can be an honest on time payment customer and they do not care or will in any way shape or form work with you when a situation arises that. Is just temporary I would not go with this companyGreenState Credit Union

Predatory lending at its finest. After having 3 car loans, 2 of which I successfully paid off, I unfortunately had a lapse of insurance. I pay for a year at a time with my insurance, and i had a lot going on that year, and in the middle of a move, I forgot about insurance for 4 months. My fault, I understand that. Apparently, for them to buy 4 months of insurance on my behalf, it costs me upwards of $3,000. There is no way I could ever come up with this money, so they now have sent out a repossessions company to take the car back, which they will also charge me for. So, after never having been late for a single payment, they are repossessing the car and I owe over $5,000. Awful. A 1.25 star overall rating is way too much, if you ask me. If you are a single white Male trying to rebuild your credit. I have been a member for years and have a auto loan payed on time through auto payment.
Every month I get a payment reminder after they took the money out for it.i applied for a new auto loan they said I need $7600 down so my payments on auto loan did not help at all .waste of time and effort on my part.every time I need help they are never there to help don't waste your time and hard earned money save it and move on
They have access to all may accounts and know I don't have that much
I thought Credit Union were to help people out
I have learned that is not true at all they are in it for the money not to help the little man.
This is not a good place to bank I will find a new bank and move payroll deposit then close this down.GreenState Credit Union

I went to log into my account this weekend and was locked out due to untold reasons, so I entered all my information online to unlock. It then told me I had to call. So I called, verified all my information but was told my account was locked due to "fraud." I asked what it was and if it could be unlocked and they told me their fraud team had to call me back. What is frustrating is that I ONLY use this account for monthly bill payments, and have never used the card. Rent is due in two days and my account is still locked. I already had to pay one bill via CC and incur a surcharge as they have nearly $2000 locked. I have worked in various compliance roles throughout my career and had done fraud investigations. It is my experience that when you lock some ones account due to fraud, that you communicate that with them. Additionally I can't even get someone on the phone and have been on hold for 30 mins. Once this all settles I will be moving all my money back to my previous bank.GreenState Credit Union

If I could leave less than a one star review I would. Our experience with this company has been nightmarish at best. When we bought our car, the company we bought it from used Green state as the initial lein holders, we had no choice but to go with them. Immediately we started having problems, beginning with them stating that if we did not provide then with proof of insurance they would "be forced to" tack on a $4,600 charge to our loan for liability coverage. I provided then with proof of insurance, but 3 weeks later I received a letter in the mail stating that they were still charging us $1,200 for less than 90 of liability coverage we never even knew we had to cover the 2 months we didn't have the car insured because of other problems out of our control with the company we purchased the car through. We called about it, and the response was since our insurance did not state that it started the day we purchased the car, we had to pay the 1,200. This is all on top of making paying Green state incredibly difficult, and even harder to get a hold of anyone to ask questions. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but got no call back from any supervisor. Called back, asked about the charge again and that I wanted it removed, I'd provided them with everything they said they needed in the initial letter. The woman that helped me said the charge was "pending cancel" but that only meant that they were thinking about removing the charge, it did not guarantee it would be taken off. Mind you, like I said I'd provided them proof of insurance meeting every qualification, and it is physically impossible to have insurance on a car start the day you buy it, and I told them this. We are currently refinancing through a different bank, but the problems have not stopped. We called to get the 10 day pay off amount to give our new bank so they can pay green state off, but the very next day our statement had an additional $5 charge to it, some sort of "readjustment" fee. I went to this credit union solely based on looks, it has a green earthy natural look that I liked on the outside. The people on the inside are a different story. The tellers have always been decent. Except one, who hurt and offended me so bad the last time I went in. I made a formal complaint on the green state app. I had a call a few days later from the only woman that showed me sincere compassion. For my degrading and embarrassing personal situation that I openly shared with her. This male teller was ignorant with me when I told him I didn’t understand their app or how to use it, I kept hearing from everyone in the bank how easy it is. Not for me I am a burned out stressed out dumb female trying to divorce my predatory spouse. I had to tell him this out loud in front of a line of customers behind me, just to get him to treat me with respect. His response was, that’s life as he smiled at me with his disgusting rotten teeth. My heart sank, it killed me. I found out that he is a husband and father. I hope that isn’t his response when his innocent sweet child comes home saying they were bullied. a doctor wouldn’t dare use that response after telling their patient they have a deadly cancer, that will kill then sooner than later. Every human in this shitty world is struggling no matter how well they hide it. He needs to be reminded of this, by getting fired. That is not the ideal type of person to work with the public. What happened to good old fashioned kindness and compassion for your fellow human? This is the first of many more complaints from this bank, I regret going there, and now I am stuck til I move out of this horrible community.GreenState Credit Union

I've been getting these fliers in the mail advertising this credit union's crazy high CD yields (currently 4.90% for a 14-month CD if you deposit at least $25,000).
