      Horrible warranty

Waited over a week for replacement parts all whilst living in the city with a door that didn’t lock. You think they’d overnight the part but they refused. Once parts arrived i paid my handy man several hours pay only to figure out they sent wrong part should’ve just bought Schlage would have saved lots of money time and headache. Instead in a panic to have a locking exterior door I was forced to pay pella $200 for technician to bring new locking mechanism. I expected better quality from pella.

I purchased three doors to be installed by Pella window and doors. Pella was more expensive than the other companies we received quotes from to have 3 doors installed. I thought I was getting quality service because of Pella's reputation. When Pella arrived to install the doors they had us inspect the doors outside. The French door that was delivered opened into the house. The contract clearly stated that we wanted the doors to open outward. We knew the work was going to be loud and disrupting to us and our pets. What we didn't expect was that we would need two visits from Pella because the wrong French door was delivered. They wanted us to store the parts for the French in our house until the new French door is made which takes months. The other issue was the front door has windows and the windows were not cleaned properly when the work was done.

They take offense when you are truthful with them on how you feel about their lack of warranty to match better with their shockingly high prices.
They share their judgements of you amongst themselves, taint you to their regional manager who then dominates the conversation with false accusations, faulting you and deciding for you that because you dared speak your disappointments in their warranty, he decides you don’t warrant a bid now.
The arrogance and attitude is shocking. Besides the accusations and fault finding. I hope by sharing I can impress upon them the need to learn what customer service should be, and perhaps help save someone else the waists of time and upset by going to pella at all. ??

I ordered sunroom doors from Pella to replace ones that window world installed. The ones that window world installed did not meet code and they were unwilling to fix it. I thought by using Pella I was using a higher end company and could expect good results. I have waited 4 months for The doors to come in, which I understand is not unusual. Now, they have rescheduled three times. The first time because they overscheduled. The second time because the installers came out and felt that the measurements were wrong and the doors wouldn't fit. I supervisor came out and confirmed that the doors would fit. They rescheduled a third time. The night before they were to come, I received a message that they were not coming because they didn't think there was enough room for the trailer to fit into my area, although the previous installers trailer did fit. Or cancellation and refund. They are refusing to provide either. The manager is Matthew ********. He has been unwilling to provide any compensation. I don't know what my next steps are, but I would advise against using this company in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Very dissatisfied with the quality and customer service. I am building a new home and purchased over $64,000 worth of windows. There were 27 windows in the order and 13 came in severely damaged. I filed a claim and was told to document all broken or damaged parts on my own. After spending countless hours documenting it all I was told to go back and send in pictures as well. Not once was I offered for someone to come out and do any of this. I called customer service to voice my frustration and was told by the service agent that I should have just let my contractor do it. I pay my contractor by the hour so she expected me to pay him for their quality issue. I asked to speak with a manager and she offered to have one call me within 48 hrs. Over a week later Monica called and left a message to call her back. I called back right away, as well as three more times over the past week, leaving voicemails to please return my call. I still haven’t gotten a response or another call back from her or another manager. I filled the damage report in February and it is now May. I choose Pella because of the quality and heard they had great reviews and customer service… they have proved that to be all wrong. I now feel like they are so attentive until you sign a contract and pay all the money and then suddenly they do not care about you as a customer , the windows they sold you, or your experience.

Terrible customer service, seems like no one in the firm cares about their customers, work been done on time and properly. Appointments get canceled by staff with no reason based only on decision made by employees

Pella sub-contracted installation to Window Professor. This fact was not communicated to us. Pella and Window Professor took zero responsibility for the terrible installation
and lack of appropriate remediation. The installers and Pella didn't represent or finish the installation with care and professionalism. Use caution when considering this company.

Very disappointed with how the project team handled my windows. Multiple appointments set and multiple times they did not confirm or show up. Very little correspondence or transparent communication when setting appointments. Took off multiple days of work which cost me vacations days away from my 4 year daughter. I do not recommend them one bit. Avoid Pella at all cost if you don't want to waste time and money. They did not make it right

In October of 2015, we bought $23,000 worth of Pella window encasements and front entry door with sidelights when we refinished our front porch. Within a year, after the first winter season, we noticed that the bottom corner-edge of the door was rotting out, the weather strip on the bottom of the door was coming apart falling off. When we moved the floor mat in the entryway, we realized that the water had been coming through the broken door seal and completely rotted out our new wood floor, with black and grey mold growing. I called our sales guy 'Tim' who got in touch with a 'specialist' to come asses the door. This was now summer of 2016. The specialist guy came with another guy that was training, they looked at the door and quickly came to the assessment that the door was installed incorrectly. He asked if Pella did the installation, I said no. He got a representative on the phone and she said that our particular door was discontinued and not under warranty. We asked the representative if the door could be replaced or fixed and no solution was offered.
Just for the record, we have not had any issues with the windows at all, they work well. I called our rep again in 2017 to get a quote for the remaining replacement windows for the rest of our house, and asked if he could get us another specialist to have a look at the door, because the door is obviously damaged and faulty, Tim said that he'd have a specialist reach out and nobody ever came through. I have called Tim and emailed him many times, no replies at all, it's now March 2023, our door still is rotting, the floor is still moldy and it would seem that nobody from Pella cares. I emailed the CEO of Pella and the local Pella GM, no replies...
Pella was super responsive when we were in the process of spending money on their products, then when there's an issue, they completely ghost you. As my brother who's in construction said "you should have gone with Anderson products". Never again Pella
      Unbelievable.

I bought approximately $50,000 worth of pella windows and doors, all new windows, 2 sliding doors, a front door and a back door.
A storm door in the front of the house was also installed and the handle started coming off immediately after it was installed. The set screw kept coming loose and when I called the salesman, he would come out and screw it back in.
The sales person retired so we continued to screw it in ourselves. Evidently the set screw is stripped and now the handle won't stay on at all
I called customer service and the said there is only a One year warranty but the would sell me a new handle for $92. Really????
After spending $50,000??? and I have to buy a new handle because they have a defective product??? I know this complaint will fall on deaf ears but I will definitely relay this complaint on my social media unless this is rectified for free after $50,000+!!!
