1 starThis is the 2nd vehicle and 2nd service center I have had since my interlock sentence began. Both vehicles worked perfect with no issues prior to having the device installed. On my 1st vehicle, after having the interlock installed, my battery stopped holding a charge causing the car to die constantly. I had multiple mechanics look at my car that all told me my interlock was hooked up in a way that was causing my battery to drain, but that was the only way to hook it up. I decided to switch cars and service centers to start over fresh. I also had a brand new battery and brand new alternator installed on the ne new car. Low and behold the same exact issue has started in this new car now. I took my battery into allpak to have it checked along with the alternator and they're both working fine which i expected due to them being brand new. However, the employee told me he's got about a dozen friends with interlocks that all have this same exact issue !!! Im a ***************************************************************************************************************** random places. Who knows what kind of dangerous situations this could cause me to be in. I shouldn't have to recharge my battery for 24 hours every other day. i cant do that. i have places I have to be at certain times and cant be late. This could cause me to lose my job. What is intoxalock going to do about this issue? So far all they have done about it is FINE ME 90$ for not telling them again that my battery died, nevermind so many bogus fines I've paid over time. It dies literally every other day so just consider this your notice because when I call down there all I speak to are foreigners with accents so thick I can barely understand them. I've been hung up on my people claiming to be superiors and I'm at my wits end with this company. The overall sense of dread that comes over me knowing i have to call and deal with this Intoxalock company is rediculous. DO NOT use this company, YOU WILL REGRET IT.Review fromGrant H

1 starThis company is very hard to deal with if you are trying to get customer support they won't give u an option to call and talk to a real person and just have you talk to a robot and then the devices will lock you out for no reason and they will try and say you won't be charged and then charge you for it . Also they offer a live chat and there business hours and it's almost impossible to get a agent to chat with so the 24/7 customer support is a big lie.Review fromPatricia Jenkins W

1 starIntoxalock did nothing but charge my husband *****, multiple times when they shouldn't have, they kept giving us bad information, or incomplete information. it took them four months to send us a copy of the intoxalock non-compliance form after we called them omg how many times, a day and a week. We spoke to so many different people there and they all had something different each day, and ***** the supervisor, told me to hold when I asked to speak with her boss and hung up on me on June 25, 2024. I couldn't believe the Judge wrote an order to have the device removed, and they still wanted to charge us, for months, talking about the non-compliance box had to be checked off, they shouldn't have that kind of power, they are very incompetent. I would never recommend them, they get a zero (0) from us.Review fromRobin K

1 starIf I could give them a 0 I would.once it was time to have my device removed they let me know 6 weeks later that they had been reporting to the wrong state all along and now my year would start now that they were in fact reporting to the correct state. I have all my records yet and obviously they knew which state had a court order to begin this process now I am expected to pay more than double the fees and equipment cost while they rack up. 1 starThe devices are massive, blowing requires substantial force, and once you sign up its like everyone who works for the company disappears and you never get to talk to anyone again.Sunscreen caused a lockout and I had to pay an extra $75. 1 starInitially - when I first contacted Intoxalock - I was treated with the utmost respect and the process went really well. Even the local install shop was amazing. However, soon after the initial install, my car required major repair. It was in the shop for four weeks. I provided Intoxalock's number to the dealership, and notified Intoxalock. . The engine had to be replaced. When I picked up the car, I was notified by the dealer that the Intoxalock had been disconnected - and would need to be reinstalled. I contacted Intoxalock who accused me of "tampering" with their equipment. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor who was very helpful, and in fact, I was told I would not have to pay the reinstall fee and that any payment I had to make on my account during this month would transfer to my new device which required a new account. Imagine my surprise when the install shop charged me full price - again - for a new install. As well as charging me $70 for the "disconnect" of the original equipment. I contacted customer service 3x (all out-sourced of course) before I could speak to someone that would listen. Again, I was told that this didn't seem right - and she would get back to me within 48 hours after she escalated the situation to her supervisor. That was four days ago. Then - I received a "lockout in 4 days" message for a level 3 violation. I called Intoxalock again who said that before they could help me, I would need to pay the initial fees of a brand new set up - again - after being told these fees were waived. Magically, after this amount was paid again, the lockout warning disappeared. I am now over $800 for installation alone for something I had no control over. As I said - the people in the beginning are very helpful. It ends there. One of the worse customer service departments I have ever encountered.Review fromEarlie S

1 starThis company is the worst customer service. Ive had 6 violations for my air being on or my wind in car to much from outside. Never anything alcohol related. This box tells me to turn my car off when I drive randomly after passing test. When it syncs it never syncs completely and have to take battery off and charged for the box not syncing properly. This company always will say its your fault and just want your money. I have 5 complaints all said to be documented from customer service call back nothing on file so now have to ask for transaction numbers to hold company accountable. My car right now as I text my car wont start cause of a sync code and ** told sorry not their fault. Go to service center after rebooting and pay them. Ive been promised 2 refunds for false issues never received nor did they document. Just butter words to keep you quite then when time comes a sorry we dont have that or understand. Really sad a company y would do such things and lie repeatedly to customers and not document when the customer makes a complaint. These people do not even want to talk to you if you have a past payment which is net even due till calibration. They want to ask you for the money first 5 mins before hearing anything you have to say. Never a representative to call you or email you saying hey sorry for what has happened or how can we look further into this just pay them.l and whatever is wrong it is your car with battery never the device. I have a brand new car nothing could be wrong g with my wiring. So sad to have to vent like this but someone has to know the truth behind these false 5star review. People are paying hundred of extra dollars for issues not there fault and forced to just to keep there livelihood so so sadReview fromRobert R

1 starI've had this breathalyzer for a year,and it worked fine until I took it in for a recalibration, and they told me I had to get an updated device ti meet illinois state requirements. Then it started doing a sync error,it'll beep under the dash,and the handheld will say sync with a countdown of 5 min.,then comm for 99 sec.,then err1,then it'll slowly do the normal procedure for blow,then won't let you start the car.its been back to the garage,they said it was a relay,intoxalock fought and argued with me about it,and finally credited the 75 dollars they stole to my account for the next bill .the 75 dollars was for a lockout for violation, that was finally taken off,but now it's doing the sync error again,and it's locked me out again,so I get to have my truck kidnapped again,and get fight ,and argue with this company again. Here's the kicker,it's the best one out there.this is all for two duis I got 24 years ago when I was out of my mind with grief due to my infant daughter's death,I never had duis before, or after,but still have to go through five years of having my property, and life held hostage by a bunch sadistic thieves!Review fromCasey G

1 starZero stars this company is scamming people I'm in a lockout constantly!!! Sometime week after week costing me 40 o my shop and 75 to intoxalock. Intoxalock says illegal start ..how ?? When I'm already driving my car it's running ..there answer is always the same do not use this company!!! Do not used intoxalock there re other companies! Terrible!Review fromBryan M

1 starI do not understand how it is possible that this company is still in business. I have already written several reviews on this company and I even got a reply from the so called "Developer" of the app saying that they wanted to help resolve any problems or complaints I have. I guess their pockets aren't as deep as they should be. I was coersed in believing I had a recaliberation. As normal the device went into the count down . I went, on time. it wasn't a recaliberation. It was to test to see why the device wasn't getting enough 12V power. A lie. I just put in a new battery. And a 12V monitoring system checker. They lied. They told me I had to purchase a new battery.. $189.99. Why didn't they just replace the device.. This is Coersion and Fraud . So they didn't recognise that I had been there, paid the $23.00 for service for a recal. The count down was not reset and they said i NEEDED TO COME BACK FOR THE ****** after I just had paid $287.00 The car went into lock down. Which puts me in NONCOMPLIANCE. I was promised the car would be unlocked so I could go the fallowing morning. But they refused to unlock my car. They demanded I have my car towed to the service center. 27 miles away. $247. I am 62 years old. A Veteran oif the U.S. Army and I am going to do what ever it takes till my last breath to put this Racketeering Fraudulent extortionist coersive liing basterd of a company out of business. They burn'd my vehicle to the ground with their little electronic device. Yet they still exist. I want a class action suit and I want everyone reimbursed . The BBB and the *** should be held Liable also. I had a 5 year requirement. I find I am still with these crooks 1 year 6 mo. and 7 days overdue for removal. WHY.. ************** of ********* will also be Liable. Under color of law they have no jurisdiction to give anyone a citation stating I was in anothrer DUI. It never happen'd. I intend on filing a Tort claim against them. And you can't put a price on this one.
