I thought I was doing an address change. Expecting to be charged the $1.10 like I had previously. I looked at my bank account today and was charged $179.95. Googled the email address from the confirmation letter and the results landed me on the BBB page. Would be nice to know I’ll get my money back.Initial Complaint

On 3/31/23 I logged on to what I thought was the post office address change to update the address for my elderly mother who was moving into an assisted living situation. I thought i was putting her debit card in for 1.10 to verify her identity. What she got charged was 179.99. She is 82 years old now living on an incredibly low income and really really needs this money back. It's impossible to find out how to contact them. I don't know what to do at this point. There was NOTHING that said there was this insanely large charge. Something needs to be done about this.Initial Complaint

I had recently moved and I don’t have transportation. So I got online to do a change of address. Thinking I was on the USPS website, I go about filling out the required form needed to be filled out to change my address. I proceed with the check out where you make a payment and put in your bank information. I remembered it was only $1 to do the change of address. So I submitted the payment. Next thing I know a notification drops down on my screen stating $149.95 was charged to my account for change of address. I hadn’t even left the confirmation of payment page when I had received the notification. I immediately find the phone number for the website I was on. Called them and I got a recording saying that all representatives were busy assisting other clients and to leave a name and number and someone would return my call. And it usually happened within 24 hours. After I left my name and number I sent an email to the link they also had on their site for contact information. And told them the situation. I never heard a word back. No calls or emails. I tried calling a few more times the next day and continued for a week. I kept getting the same message. I called my bank the same day I had made the payment. And was told that I had to wait for it to be processed before I could do anything about it. That took 3 days. And they have been disputing the transaction since the 1st of march 2023. It’s still pending.. Theor website states they will gladly refund 100% of any customers money who wasn’t satisfied with the purchase. I also got a confirmation email from the company stating they had received my request and that I’d be receiving another email when the request had been completed. I never got that email. And I’d also be receiving a usps confirmation code within 24 hours. The business name was revealed in the email as address change now and the senders email is [email protected].Initial Complaint

My Daughter informed me her change of adress expired, her ex boyfriend was receiving her mail. I proceeded to the official United States Postal Service Site to change her address and while doing so I was rerouted to a third party not realizing I was being routed (I was also in the middle of cooking dinner) my bank account was drained of all money less what was on auto pay. I was charged 149.95 instead of 1.09 for a change of address. The site looks like usps when transfered to addresschangenow.com. I found it odd that my card has my middle initial on it and when inputting all information error came at end to remove my middle initial then the process went thru, when I finally realized what happened , trying to back arrow out, I immediately received a fraud alert from my bank.Initial Complaint

Change of request submitted to usps.com on the official site, states $1.10 charge to verify identity and process then changed me $179.95. I want my money back immediately.
