      Signed up for Stericycle, I told them that I was appointment only and didn't do work very often. They assured me I would get notified before they came. I received my cardboard box and the biohazard bag, and that was the last I saw of them. They informed me they would come by on certain dates and they never showed, or they would come outside of operating hours when I specifically told them my hours. They invoiced me to death for a service I never received. I have never paid so much for a cardboard box and a biohazard bag in my life. They are still sending me invoices, saying they suspended my account (even when I asked them to close it) and now are threatening to take me to collections for another 300$ owed (After I had already paid them 500$). All the while they have never picked up a single article from me. I sat in my office with my newborn for 8 hours one day just to wait for them and I watched the truck drive by without stopping. Later I was told they came and no one was here. If you enjoy paying an obscene amount on a cardboard box and bag, this company is what you're looking for.

      Stericycle has missed 3 scheduled pick-*** over the course of the last 4 weeks. We have been "assured" that a supervisor would return our request for help multiple times with no response. We have asked to remain on hold for a supervisor, only to wait for over an hour for someone to pick up the phone and then the call gets disconnected. There is a running log of all of our requests with Reference call numbers attached to them, but no one cares enough to call us back. Sending this review to warn others of the lack of customer service and to hopefully get the attention of anyone at Stericycle to address our issue. We are a long standing customer and deserve better than this.

      Our company used a UCC Article 9 foreclosure on the assets of another company. All that was transferred to us was customer lists and relations....not debt whatsoever. This was not a merger or acquisition - it was a foreclosure. We explained that to Stericycle multiple times yet they still attempted to invoice our company for the unpaid invoices of the other company. We informed them that we did not wish to do business with them and sent notice in August 2022 to close the account. It took them until February 2023 to officially close the account. Then, after that they still tried to service the account 2 weeks later and invoice us. Now, they have turned this over to their collections division - which it owns. We will never do business with a company that operates this way......Stericycle/Shred-it has burnt that bridge for all time.

      I wish I had checked BBB before doing business with Stericycle. As so many others I had a bad experience. I was told a specific fee for auto draft and that was not the outcome. One auto draft was taken out and then they did not take out any other payments, adding late fees to my account. Also, we had extra containers that needed to be picked up, I was told there would be no additional cost, there was a $400+ charge to my account. When I called to cancel the account and pay the amount in full they refused to cancel until months later and charged me an early cancellation fee of close to another $400. My issue is they are dishonest about their charges, so that you will sign a contract and then charge you for cancelling. As a healthcare professional and small business owner, it is great discouragement and in the end costs them far more money than to just be an honest business.

      Horrible Company. They don't pick up your documents, and then invoice you to death. They come pick up after you are closed and bill you for doing nothing. If you want no service, and to be invoiced for nothing, then this is the company for you. When you eventually go to cancel, and you will, you will get actual emails and letters stating the account is cancelled, but they will continue to bill you and threaten you. This business is a scam. I didn't want to leave one star.

      Our medical office has not used Stericycle since 2021. Our last payment to them was on 10/19/2023 for $629.68 according to our bank statement. We paid this amount even though we were not sure what it was for, and only paid because ******, their collections agency, was threatening and would not leave us alone. Then all of a sudden day before yesterday on 6/26/2023, we received a letter in the mail from the ****** collection agency again telling us we owed Stericycle over $700.00! It brought back memories of arguing with them about the $629.68 amount Stericycle said was due back in 2021, and this nightmare was happening again. Our front office staff called Stericycle and the person she spoke with at first stated we had a zero balance but then changed her tune and said we owed the amount. The doctor called Stericycle today, 6/28/2023, and armed with the bank account statement showing the final payment, and our last invoice showing a zero balance, the Stericycle rep stated that indeed, our account had been paid off and inactive since 12/29/2021, and that there was a zero balance. We were told to ignore the letter from ****** but I called ****** to inform them to cease and desist. I called ****** three times and the phone number either dropped or the recording basically stated to call back at a later time. As I read through these other complaints, I can't help having this strong sense that based on our experience in 2021 and this most recent episode, that Stericycle is a company that is running a strong-arm operation in conjunction with ****** and using ****** to scare and shake down clients, both past and present, for more money. There needs to be a class action lawsuit started because this company appears not to be behaving ethically based on this experience and those of others. I would give them less than a star rating if that was possible.

      Worst *********************** ever. They have the worst customer service. We used ********************** for many years and then at the end of last year the Territory account manager, *************************** gave my office a Notice of Termination of my existing Hazardous Waste Contract because they wanted to charge more than the existing contract allowed. I was paying $32.22 a month and because of increased fuel and labor costs they wanted to raise the monthly cost to $89.11 ( a 30% discount on the current cost for new customers, $129.83 monthly.) I did not sign the new contract that he emailed me and went with another provider of waste pickup services. Now the company continues to come by my office to pick up hazardous waste even though I informed the pick up guy that Stericycle cancelled my contract months ago. I continue to get billed by Stericycle even though I don't have service with them and now they sent me a Letter that I need to pay immediately or I will be sent to a ****************** **************** at ********************** seems to be non-existent and I have become very frustrated with the amount of time I have spent trying to clear this matter up.

      Contract ended in April. We did not sign a new one, and when approached in June about increased fees and signing new contract, we canceled our service. We were then told that we were under a 3 year contract and that we owed close to $600 for what was initially a $35 a month contract. **************** was horrible before that. DO NOT USE!!!

      We have had multiple issues with customer service. - Basically feel that there is NO customer service. We have used ********************** for many many years - and recently (10/21) our billing practices have changed as we have merged with a major corporation (who also uses stericycle). I have called / emailed and basically begged for them to bill the new corporation under a PO number for both of our accounts for well over a year. They stopped picking up - and though I have been told MULTIPLE times they have corrected our account... they have not. Nobody there is helpful at all.

      We were also lied to about a month to month contract. It was never stated but found out when we tried to cancel. It turned out to be a 5 year contract that we were not aware of. They are wanting 50% paid upfront of unused services. Do not use Stericlycle, unless you are wanting a 5 year contract and increased fees every year. I fell that we were intentionally mislead.
