My wife and I were an accident on 9/18/2021 that was not our fault and was confirmed by the police report and State Farm. However they proceeded to try and put the claim on my insurance because the other party only had $25,000 of liability coverage and we had a brand new car. This would require me to pay my $500 deductible as well as 20% of the rental car. I saw the estimate on the repairs for our car and it was $16,000. Clearly well under the deductible. I spent hours on the phone over several week span and eventually had to go to my local office and threaten to leave State Farm entirely to get them to finally place the claim on the other parties insurance. I came to find out that we both had State Farm and they were playing games as this would save them money by making me pay out of pocket for deductible and part of the rental. Then after 1 month I found out that my car repairs were delayed as they were waiting on parts form Korea. State Farm proceeded to cancel my rental car as they claimed they "do not cover part delays". I fought this with multiple phone calls but you can only get an automated system and get transferred to answering machines. When I finally spoke to someone, they claimed there was nothing they could do. Then after 5 MONTHS, they got the parts and started working on my car again. I called to get a rental and I find out that they did cover part delays all along and are only limited by the policy limit. Which in this case is the $25,000 liability. I get my car back 6 months after it was wrecked, and it cost $16,000 to fix. I estimate $3-4 grand for towing and storage fees, and enterprise had my rental care at around $1,000 per month. Therefore, they only paid out approximately $21,000 on the $25,000 liability policy while I was without a rental care for 4 months. They essentially lied to me and saved themselves $4,000. Each interaction along the way was frustrating unproductive. I fully plan on switching Insurance and will never use them again.State Farm Insurance Company

I carry State Farm Insurance on my Home & Auto's I filed a Roof Claim for Wind Damage, but it was denied by a Janice ***** an Independent Claims Manager with State Farm.
Janice stated the Roof only needed repairs and the cost should not exceed $500.00 The Roofing Company that I hired went to bat for me, but State Farm still denied the claim. If you're considering State Farm for your Homeowners Policy, my recommendation is to look else where.
I am in the process of switching Insurance Companies. I am just overwhelmed with all of the Insurance Companies out there.State Farm Insurance Company

1 starIf this company could get 0 starts that is what they deserve. The word the coverage so specifically that you can’t use it and they don’t have to pay. I was a customer for almost 20 years and never had a claim. When I thought we actually had something that should have been covered they came to look and just said no the wording here says that that’s fully on you. That happened 3 times and they decided to cancel us while claiming they had a loss of $0 for things. I really don’t understand how they can legally take money and then refuse to honor their agreement legally and our government says you are required to have it.Review fromJennifer H

2 starsState Farm is great at some things but not all the time.They made me wait three weeks just to have my car looked at to get an estimate for a repair. They also told me that it would only take 3 days for an estimate. I am very not satisfied with State Farm. They should not have made me 3 weeks to have my car looked at. 1 starI have been with State Farm for nearly thirty years now and have nothing but good transactions until today after I filed a claim for my home with water damage and was told that it was not covered by the home owners insurance, therefore and I am sure all insurances are the same but at the end of the year I will be shopping and replacing all my policies that I currently have with State Farm, I could see if I filed claims every time I turned around.Review fromRobin R.

We experienced a flood in master bathroom, upstairs, with major damage directly below in our kitchen and dining room on May 13, 2022. Have been with STATE FARM for nearly 30 yrs. The adjuster came out to assess and missed items that needed to be covered and tapped on our cabinets, that are still stored in our garage, and told us they are “usable and can be reinstalled to our kitchens original condition”. He missed the extensive damage to to the face of the cabinetry. He was not thorough. We were put in accommodations for only one month, being told we were “reaching our allotment for housing”. We were NOT GUIDED through this process or helped at all during this displacement. We are now back in our home with no kitchen cabinets, counters, ceilings, walls or floors. We are doing dishes and cooking in our backyard. Initially, we tried to seek help and guidance, above the adjuster, by going to the agent and escalations department with no helpful responses at all. We have hired a company to represent us in hopes to resolve this. State Farm is NOT A GOOD NEIGHBOR!!
The extent of the damage cannot be covered by the 26,000$ they have issued us. We are NOT ASKING FOR OVER AND ABOVE, just what we need to have a livable space. Having never missed a payment for approximately 30 years, or more, we would like the full amount of what are policy states. We are only asking for what we are covered for, in order to restore our home to a livable space. This has been very frustrating and disappointing. A company that has been around for as long as STATE FARM, and that has a “neighborly” motto SHOULD SUPPORT ITS CLIENT…LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR during stressful situations like this. Worst customer service ever! Got in a small bumper bump with no damage to my car and of course the car I bumped claims injury and traumatized mentally every time they get in a car and of course send lawsuit papers to SF which SF showed me in email on 6/22. I tried emailing them and calling them with no response. Now it’s 8/13/22 and I get served personally lawsuit papers because SF isn’t doing anything but ignoring me and claimant. 1 starI would give them zero stars if I could. My very first claim after laying this company every month on time for almost 2 years had been a complete nightmare! It took 3 months just to get an estimate on my damages and all of the damages caused by my accident were not even included in the estimate. They failed to have my vehicle thoroughly inspected and claimed most of the damage found by their dealership of choice was all preexisting. The body shop my vehicle was initially towed to advised them several times there was in fact mechanical damage due to the accident however StateFarm still refused to check further. I had ti pay out of pocket to have my vehicle towed from their dealership of choice to another dealership and have my vehicle thoroughly inspected. There was damage found due to the accident but the second dealership. I reached out to StateFarm to inform them of the findings only to be talked over, refused payment and hung up on by a claims representative. The agent assigned to me has not reached out to me one time to check on how things are going or anything. The only call I received from my agent was to inform me that they are dropping me after my policy expires. They denied me a rental this entire time because they’re agent forgot to add the rental reimbursement I requested when I started my policy. The agents have been rude and very disrespectful and unhelpful. It’s been over 3 months and I’m still here with no vehicle and no repairs as of yet. This experience has been a complete nightmare and extremely stressful and expensive. I tried to file a corporate complaint and that process was also unsuccessful. StateFarm is the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with and I do not recommend them to anyone. I will be filing more complaints on every outlet I can until I get a resolution and some empathy for this horrific experience.Review fromjokereek

1 starSTATE FARM MADE A JUGDE MONT CALL, THAT HAS COST US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS JUST BECAUSE WE USED OUR INSURANCE TO FIX OUR HOUSE, AND SOLD IT. BUT WHEN IT CAME TIME TO BUY NEW, THEY DUG DEEP AND GOT ALL INSURANCE COMPANIES TO MAKE ARE LIFE ****, WE BORROW THEY HAVE MADE A $600. LEAN EVERY MONTH TO BUY AUTO INSURANCE $300. EVERY 6 MONTHS AND THE BIG THING HERE THEY HAVE NEVER CONTACTED THEY JUST ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND PROBABLY WON'T BECAUSE THEY HAVE CONTROL OF US SO THEY THINK. I'M JUST WARMING UP. THIS GOING IN EVERY MAJOR CITY IN THE STATES.
