My birthday is on my account. I checked on the website and it says my birthday was inputted as 12/24 when my actual birthday is 09/04/16. My first purchase on my account EVER was on my birthday. My birthday is coming up and Ive never received a birthday gift from Ulta and Im just now realizing that the associate who set up my account incorrectly put my birthday. I dont even think they asked me for my birthday because they wouldve realized my first purchase was a birthday purchase I reached out to Ulta **************** and the only thing they could do is fix my birth date. They provided me with a Birthday Reward code that doesnt work and said they could possibly reward me 250 points. I asked if they had any free samples I could receive considering I had not received a single birthday email in the past 6 years and they declined. 250 points (translates to $8 off) and a birthday code that does not work does not leave me feeling that this major error was solved. They tried blaming me for not checking my emails for a birthday reward but if I actually had been receiving emails for the wrong date, I wouldve noticed YEARS ago that I had been receiving emails on the wrong date. They also tried blaming me for not checking my spam emails, which is insane considering I repeatedly stated I have never received any birthday email in the past 6 years.ULTA Beauty

Don't use their buy online pick up in store. I placed an order for pick up. They only had 1 item and not the other. They put a hold on my credit card for the full amount when they can't fulfill the entire order. And they can't/won't cancel the order. They tell you you have to wait FIVE days for the order pickup to expire. This should be illegal to put a hold on a credit card for the full amount when they didn't even fulfill the entire order. Absolutely unacceptable.ULTA Beauty

We're more than happy to clear this up for you, ******! We never charge you for your order until the order has been picked up. However, when you shop online using a credit or debit card, your financial institution will place a pending hold on the funds while they wait for the payment to fully authorize. Once the order is picked up, then the payment is authorized and then you're charged for the order. As the payment failed for this order, you haven't been charged, and any charges you see are just the pending holds that will return to you in 3 to 5 business days. Since the original charge included payment for the item that was not fulfilled, your charge will automatically adjust if you pick up the order, if you prefer to cancel the order, then you would have to wait 5 days for it to automatically cancel and your charge will be returned to you.Review fromJulie L

Back in Nov I placed a qualifying order for a free gift. My package said it was delivered but I never received it the carrier left it the garage. I live in a apartment complex. They did replace the order except the free gift it was now sold out. In June again I placed an order that qualifies for the free gift. This time I placed it for in store since it didn't say online only. I go pick up my order. This store never received the free gift to give out. I called customer service they said there is nothing they can do. I closed out my account the next day. I wasn't informed that there was pending charges. I get a bill in the mail with the late fee change and interest that's around 40 dollars. I called about getting the charges removed since I wasn't informed about the pending charges. He said there is nothing he can do since it shows I did it through the automated service. I said I did call to make the payment then I was transferred to closed out the account. *********************** will change you if you talk to a person right away.) He responded it doesn't show that. Ulta does false advertising to get you to buy products to qualify for free gifts that you do not get. Puts the blame on the customer when their customer service support team doesn't inform you of pending charges to get more money from you.ULTA Beauty

I purchased two shape tape concealers at the ******** ** location Purchase made on 7/25/2023 at 3:57pm Trans **** Store **** Reg 5 CASHIER **** **** was an in store purchase and the Cashier/ sales associate **** was utterly rude and mean. She was uneducated your merchandise being sold to paying customers. It was like pulling teeth asking questions and receiving a response from this ignorant poorly trained employee. I then asked **** to speak with the store manager(overweight woman) in hopes of receiving an answer to my beauty product questions. The MANAGER shrugged her shoulders and didnt Male eye contact whatsoever UNPROFESSIONAL service. She simply stated I have no idea what youre referring to etc. I honestly can now see why people hate shopping here at ULTA ITS SO LOW-GRADE. I went in for a hair color. I was asked about adding a opalex treatment. I agreed to it, I then asked to have a trim. I was charged $67 for a trim! $67 dollars! This is absolutely ridiculous. I could not believe the amount it cost. I was not told about this amount or I would have NEVER gotten my hair trimmed. I would have went someone else for the trim. Ive reached out to customer service to express my concerns and cant even get a response. This is really disappointing.ULTA Beauty

Ulta overcharged me, refused to give me a refund, and then failed to refund my points when I returned my full purchase. I made a purchase of two items. One cost $10.99 and the second cost $6.99. I used a $3.50 off of $15.00 coupon and redeemed $6.00 in points. With 6% sales tax, my total came to $8.99. I did not like the $6.99 product, so I exchanged it for an $11.99 product the next day. The difference between those two products is $5.00, but I was charged $9.21. My overall cost should have been $14.29, but I was charged $18.20. The coupon was still active and even without the coupon, I should have only been charged $18.00. I contacted Ulta through their website for a refund of $3.91 and provided the math. The customer service agent could not tell me how my math was wrong, but refused to give me a refund and said that I paid less than I did (I had literal receipts plus my bank statement that showed I had been charged $18.20). I later contacted them through email and included a screenshot where I added both items to the bag on their website and applied the coupon. The subtotal in the bag matched my math. I was told the issue was being sent for "further review," but a week later I have heard nothing from Ulta. I returned both items for a full refund, which processed through my bank 3 days ago, but the $6.00 of points I redeemed have not been refunded. Ulta claims points are refunded to your account "immediately," but that is clearly a lie. They overcharge you, refuse to honor still active coupons, and will not refund your points. I shopped at Ulta regularly, but due to this experience, I will never spend any money at Ulta again.ULTA Beauty

The ** customer service is telling me they have a systems glitch that in knowingly charging customers twice. Once in the store & again at the ** distribution center. My bank showed the 2nd payment a day later, in person, in another state. Refunds of the 2nd charge take **** days to post. In the meantime, ULTA has your money & gaining interest on it while the claim to be working on the issue.ULTA Beauty

Hey Ulta Beauty, I did say in my email that if you don't fix your shady processes that I would go to social media with my story. Soooooo. You had your chance to make this right, and chose not to do so! I am very angry and deserve an explanation that isn't a poorly translated auto-responder. Did you know that Ulta Beauty is randomly BANNING their customers from online ordering? One day I placed an order and kept getting an odd error message no matter what I did. No warning. Nothing fishy in my account. Spent three months going back and forth with customer service getting ZERO answers. Was finally told I had "multiple identities and multiple payment methods". Nope. Just me. Only identity I have. Been a customer for 30 FREAKING YEARS!!!!!! Multiple payment methods? Sure. None of your business how I pay! Sometimes I want airline miles or points on a different card. Who cares? Did a little research. HAPPENING TO THOUSAND OF PEOPLE. No warning, just one day you can't order. It's all over Reddit. **************** is ZERO help. They send the same canned message over and over and over. Very vague. No real answers. Seems like you have a software issue, or you are actually s******* your customers over on purpose. Which one is it? Gee, online only deals with purchase? Online only sales? Free items with purchase - online only? Not for you! BLOCKED. BLOCKED. BLOCKED. I finally reached a level where someone actually answered me and they vaguely apologized and said they looked at my account and nothing was wrong and they turned my account back on. Placed an order. GOT AN EMAIL THE NEXT DAY SAYING THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER. Zero explanation. Told me I am welcome to shop in store. What is the actual ?????Shame on you for treating your loyal customers so poorly.
