1 starThey have a best price guarantee on their website but they do not honor it. They are dishonest. I sent then a screen shot and a link from priceline and they still dispute it and said it didn't qualify. I used the same hotel, dates, # of guests and free cancellation to make it an exact match and they still didn't honor it with a vague reply. It's clearly false advertising.Review fromJanice R

2 starsLooks like Hyatt continues to have a lot of unsatisfied customers. They do not give as many perks as they used to as well as, not offering loyalty points if booking through my time share. I can get a better rate when booking through my time share. It should not matter since I am a member as long as it is a Hyatt Hotel. Hyatt had better change their game plan and take better care of their loyal members. A **** average customer rating is shameful.Review fromChristine S

1 star************ in Cozumel, a Hyatt resort, was quite possibly the worst vacation experience in my life (I'm 64 - so there have been a lot of vacations). Day 1 - NO hot water and the fridge didn't work. Day 2 - they replaced the fridge, still NO hot water. Day 3 - we had to check out of the room so they could put new unsuspecting guests in the room. (The room directly below ours also had NO hot water) We were without a room for almost the entire day - all of our belongings were in our suitcases - and checked in the lobby. The entire day was a waste. They finally put us in a 2nd room. This room had only scalding hot water or freezing cold water - no in-between. It also had what looked like black mold growing in places. They put us in a 3rd Room, and "upgraded" us to "preferred." Day 6 - my partner woke up with numerous BED BUG bites on him!! Guess the BBs didn't realize it was a preferred room. Not worth changing rooms a 4th time - besides, we were already exposed to the bugs and would not be able to bring ANYTHING into our homes when we got back to the US. We stripped down in my carport and left everything outside. The food was mediocre at best. Unless you were a "preferred" member - there were only about 3 or 4 restaurants you could eat at. After day 3 - everything tasted the same. The entire resort could use a good deep cleaning... ***.They made us sign paperwork before allowing us a 3rd room stating that the room was our compensation.... really? We had to sign a release to get a room with hot and cold water and for losing days of our vacation because of their negligence? They knowingly put guests in rooms with issues and play this room switching game with everyone. I did not talk with one other vacationer at this resort that didn't complain. So many UNHAPPY guests. This resort is a disgrace. Save your money and go to a resort with good reviews. We are so sorry we wasted our vacation on this place. Never again.I have pictures - I wish I could upload them.Review fromJeanie B

1 starI was shocked to find out that Hyatt can charge $214 per room on one reservation and $113 on the second reservation made on the same day.Review fromLynn A

1 starStayed at Hyatt House in ******* ** ( Briarcreek area)in November 2023. Our SUV along with 17 other vehicles was broken into and ransacked over night. According to police, this has happened about every other month and the hotel has declined to install cameras or add security ride throughs. Therefore, I do not recommend staying here because this will likely continue to happen. Cars were parked on both sides of hotel and near the front and no employee heard anything?!? Interesting right!Hotel GM did not want to refund our stay until we repeatedly demanded. Said there were signs and they were not responsible. Hyatt corporate said its a franchise and corporate not responsible. Its clear this hotel does NOT care about your safety or your property. Never stay here!!!!Review fromRodney B

1 starThis review is specifically for Hyatt Place ************** *********************************************************************************. The service was extremely poor, and the manager was unprofessional. At check in, they provided me incorrect information when breakfast was served causing us to miss the meal, the maid service knocked on our door early & asked if we needed any water, I said yes but then she never returned. I called the front desk, and they said water was only given to elite members. I asked why was it offer then? When I tried to use their work out facility the equipment (treadmill) was broken, & the water dispenser did not work & started shooting out water on the carpet. When I advised the front desk, they said they will look into later. In the evening, when we returned to the hotel, my card key did not work so I had to go down to the front desk & the lady that gave me the wrong information about the breakfast was there & said the breakfast staff messed up & she was correct. I went back to my ********* key still did not work. Maintenance let me in my room & said they would fix my key. Right when I got in my room, I received a call from the hotel manager ***** saying I had to leave because I was complaining. The maintenance guy came back to my room saying I needed to leave. Feeling threatened, I sought assistance from the police. The ************** Mgr came to my room & since the Mgr wanted me and my wife to leave, the police said we had to leave. The Mgr said I was complaining too much. I asked her & the police to review all videos of ********* would see I never cussed nor disrespected the staff. I was just seeking clarification on bad ********************** Throughout this ordeal, I felt discriminated against & disrespected. We complied with the eviction; the police understood my side but could not do anything since the Mgr wanted us to leave. It is my sincere hope that this issue is promptly addressed to spare others from a similar distressing experience.Review fromZach O

1 starDo NOT stay at any Hyatts, and if you do, do not use your debit card for incidentals. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda for a work conference in which my employer paid for my accommodations. As part of the normal check-in process, I provided them with my debit card for any incidentals. The stay was fine and after checking out, I was provided a final folio that showed zero dollars in charges for incidentals. I was surprised when roughly a week later, I saw a $350 dollar charge on my debit card from the hotel. Assuming it was a mistake, I called the hotel to seek an explanation and reversal of the charge. To my surprise, the hotel representative refused, stating that I was being charged a smoking fee. I explained that that must have been a mistake, as I am very much not a smoker. The hotel representative insisted that they had "proof" - I informed them that I would interested in seeing their "proof," because as a non-smoker, it would be impossible to have any proof that I had smoked in their room. The representative responded by saying "definitely" then promptly hung up the phone. I have yet to receive any "proof" from the hotel. In order to dispute the transaction with my bank, I did some research into whether this was a common issue. As it turns out, it appears improper application of smoking fees is a recurrent problem for Hyatt Regency hotels - there are articles dating back to 2010 about this practice that can be found on Google ("hyatt regency smoking fee improper" search words). The Hyatt Regency appears to be making improper allegations of "smoking," refusing to reverse transactions by insisting they have "proof," without actually providing any evidence or documentation. Again, as a non-smoker, that would be impossible to prove. This is a textbook abusive and systematic practice that appears to span to at least 2010 through the present.Review fromElsha P

1 starWe added a room when we were checking in and got a higher rate than what they priced online for the same exact night and the same exact room. The front desk did not give a logical explanation on why there was such a difference. This is unacceptable. We do not plan on staying in to any hyatt anymore and will tell all of people we know to stay aways.Review fromEmily D

1 starThe location of this hotel is the only thing it has going for it. If you want decent service, look elsewhere. We checked in late at night since we were driving across the country. We were tired to say the least. I had called the hotel about 3 hours prior to our arrival to confirm they we were coming and to ask additional question regarding later checkout. When we arrived, there wasnt anyone outside running the valet service so we decided to self park and being our stuff up from the garage. Once we got up to the desk the attendant checked us in and gave us the key. We had book a king room and confirmed it ahead of time like I mentioned and that was what I though we were assigned however when we got to the room we were given a double room. I dont like complaining about things that are out of the control of the staff however with the previous call before we checked in and then to have the attendant not even tell us it was a different room while we were checking in was rude. We called down to the desk and talked to the same attendant and he said that there were no more king rooms available. I asked why we were made aware of that while checking in and his response was that we dont guarantee to have the room we booked available. To add to the already horrible experience, when we walked in the room the tv was on and the remote was lost behind the dresser and we had to pull it out from behind there since they were unwilling to move us or do anything to make the situation better. We booked through hotels.com and connected with their customer service who tried to help our situation however they were no help at all, kept switching reps and I had to retell my situation multiple times. Overall horrible service on both of their parts.
