      If I could give a zero, I definitely would. The fact that my adjuster OR their supervisor do not answer the calls is just straight up ridiculous. I was trying to get in contact for 2 WEEKS with the adjuster and their supervisor and NO ONE answers the phone, just goes straight to voicemail. They would always direct me to the supervisor when I asked to speak with a manager until I reached at a point of anger and THEN they transferred my call to a manager. After weeks of trying to get in contact, they tell me I have to pay OUT OF MY OWN POCKET for a rental car because they dont provide it is ABSURD when I am a not-at-fault person. I spoke and asked my own insurance company about this and they said KEMPER HAS TO PROVIDE THE RENTAL CAR since the other person admitted it was their fault. What kind of policy is that??? Making your own clients pay out of their pockets for stuff like this??? Its unbelievable the type of customer service they have and in my opinion I dont think they should be in business.

      Kemper's customer rear ended ** with a 3 month old in the car. We don't have the funds to pay for a rental upfront and wait for a reimbursement. Kemper REFUSED to pay for the rental up front and FORCED ** to place it on a credit card, but of course they wont pay the interest. Then they refused to reimburse ** for time the shop wasn't working on it, like we were supposed to know how insurance works. I expect to be able to drop my car off to the shop and receive a rental car, hassle free and costs free. I should even be reimbursed for the gas. I shouldn't have to negotiate anything with them. Their customer wasn't paying attention while driving and f'd up my car. Therefore, they are responsible for taking care of everything for me. Absolutely ridiculous I had to negotiate with them so much and argue to fight for my rights.

      They held my policy hostage when I tried to cancel 8 months ago. Could not close the policy despite several attempts. First I sent an email with their cancellation form attached and signed, along with written instructions on when to cancel the policy. No cancellation.Then my new insurance provider also reached out to cancel. No cancellation. After my new company said they reached out, I assumed I was fine. Kemper had documentation of both cancellations.Then Kemper's bill shows up. I reach out again. They won't cancel by phone. They send me the accursed form again, which I fill out and send back. They reply saying I've filled it out wrong and lie about never seeing a cancellation request. I review the error and, behold, the form does not contain the alleged error. I have the reply chain in my inbox. I send it again. They allege another different error that does not exist. Again.I chew them out. Nothing happens. I am still in insurance hades with these weasels stoking the coals. Call me crazy, but it seems like they're committing some form of fraud by preventing policyholders from cancellation.

      Kemper has been my insurance company for about 3 years now. Since day one theyve been almost impossible to get on the phone.And every year my rates have gone up. Ive gotten zero tickets, and im not a drunk driver or anything that should make my price go up.Yet it does. By a lot. All the time.Furthermore... you cannot turn off the autopay feature. You cant. Theyll say theyve turned it off but they wont.Theyve charged me twice 3 times now and always act like its my fault, "solve" the issue in the most inconvient way possible, and then close the chat or hang up on me promptly afterward.I pay for rental car reimbursement. Theyve never given it to me. They totalled out my car in a car accident and gave me 1/4 of the blue book value.Even the tow company they use will damm near destroy your car.This company is probably the worst company ive ever dealt with in any feild. Their customer service is rude nasty and unhelpful in any way.Their prices are lies. They double charge REGULARLY.And theyre impossiblento actually get into contact with any human that can actually solve any problem you may have.They have like 4 or 5 layers of people that cant ever answer questions and treat you like trash. Im pretty sure the managers and people that could answer questions or solve issues has never even seen the inside of their office. Much less have they ever bothered to picl up a phone.Im absolutely leaving their company and i hope it crashes and ***** and leaves the owners in prison for the scam-like total sham behavior they constantly pull.100% worthless company.Would never reccommend this insurance company to any living person ever under any circumstances.Their prices are somewhat lower (in the beginning) and you may be thinking its a good deal. But it could only be a good deal of customers got anything at all out of it.Theyre good for nothing.I warn everyone who researches this company... stay away at all costs!!!

      I urge you to ask for a breakdown of all charges they put on your account. I'm sure you'll find some that shouldn't be there to begin with. They will tell you to call to discuss but insist on getting a copy emailed to you.They sent me a final bill after I cancelled my policy and it was high so I asked for a breakdown of the cost. They emailed me this very odd looking breakdown of charges and transactions and it was not clear what I owed. Just showed a bunch of #s with words on the side and I had to deduct which was which. Then I see a charge for $6 (late fee)- late for what? I asked them about it via email and all I got was an email from someone else stating the fee was removed and attached an updated breakdown of cost. Then I do the math and it's not adding up. I can understand the cancellation fee but not why you're charging me extra when I have already paid you for the month. Also got a notice from apple that my password for Kemper was leaked- now I'm concerned they had a data breach and everyone should be worried.

      Horrible Experience just as everyone else has stated, DO NOT get Kemper Insurance, we had full coverage, we lent our car to a LICENSED family member. Unfortunately they got in an accident and they wont cover a cent for us. Theyre good at charging you your monthly cost but theyre not good at helping you when you most need it. We have tried contacting them countless times. We have tried contacting supervisors even leaving messages. They *********** never return your call. They never even gave my car an evaluation! Its been months. Worst insurance out there, borderline SCAM.

      I was a Kemper insured. Parking lot accident. They notified the other driver that I was 50% at fault before my car was out of the shop and told me two years later. They botched the claim against the other driver. Had an incorrect policy number. Told me that the statute of limitations had run which was not true because the applicable SOL had been extended by the Supreme Court and by the state legislature during covid. I finally got my deductible back but it took six months and lots of calls and e-mails. I finally made a complaint to the state insurance commissioner and had a check in about a week. Cant recommend them. Lots of excuses. Lots of time on hold. Just a load of c*** And Kemper, if youre about to send a reply email telling me and anyone who reads this review that youre sorry I had such a poor experience please save the effort. I dont believe that you ever intended to protect my interests in this matter. Worst insurance company ever.

      Kemper is such a shady insurance company I can't even believe it I can't believe they're in business still. So I wanted to cancel my policy and I was told I need to fax a signed letter stating I want to cancel with the date and all my information and I paid $167 to complete the cancellation of my insurance. After doing all that they claim they never got paid and sent it to collection agency. So so frustrating

      I am hesitant to give them even a star. Negligent and deceiving since day one. I had 2-3 different adjusters to my claim, all gave me wrong information. Never was told had a new adjuster. I was offered around $10,000 for the loss of my truck. Because the driver was a permissive driver, they change all the information to $*****. I even received paperwork for the quote of $10,000 and accepted the offer. The only reason I found out was because I called back to ask adjuster questions, found to be, the case was sent to someone else. ( I called) He said basically sorry, our error, all I can offer. I called and emailed to complain to supervisors and no response back. Till finally I almost gave up and asked adjuster to send me the information to take the offer. He sent me the PD release. It mentioned the permissive driver and owner/insurer. Guess what, I requested to have the permissive driver removed from the PD three times by email. They finally said, they could not because he had insurance. The insurance was also infinity. They knew the permissive driver and the owner/insurer had the same insurance. They tried to trick me. They wanted me to sign a paper so I would not ask for more than the *****. My truck was worth more. That was deceiving. I am glad I read the release . I sent it off to my Lawyers. Infinity was insurance but all adjuster and everyone I emailed was under Kemper.
