If I could give less than one star, trust me I would! This insurance company is horrible and my agent ************************* was terrible. She is unprofessional and does not know how to explain how the insurance company comes to the conclusion of an individual being at fault. I have never had a car accident and when I was side swiped by an individual who should have stopped at the stop sign, she still claimed me at fault. After reading others reviews, I will definitely be switching insurance carriers. I never had to deal with Kemper because I had never had an accident in the 20 plus years that I had them. Going through this experience has definitely gave me a negative look at Kemper. Once again horrible insurance company. When referred to them please run the opposite direction.Kemper Corporation

Kemper insurance claims department are all unprofessional and unresponsive. My client was involved in a not at fault accident and the insurance adjusters do not respond to her call's emails or the calls of her agent and emails. Even escalating this over to the supervisors does not help because the supervisors do not return calls either. the first adjuster by the name of ***************************** would not return any of my call or my customers calls and all the information that we were receiving was directly from the body shop. when the claim finally was passed on to *************************** for the total loss although she didn't respond to any of my emails, she was contacting the customer. unfortunately, that trend has not continued. both the customer and i have been trying to reach her by email and phone to get a missing document to complete the customers gap claim and again no response from her to my customer or myself. This is the most irresponsible and unprofessional company i have ever worked with. I will never write a customer with this ********************** again because they will ruin my reputation as a responsive and caring agent.Kemper Corporation

I was involved in an accident with a Kemper insured vehicle on 10/27/2022 . Kemper insurance took 100% responsibility for the accident since the driver ran a red light. I was told I had to pay out of pocket for the enterprise rental and I would be reimbursed within 2/3 days the total of my rental was ********. I returned the rental on 12/2/22..since then I have tried to call everyday left voicemails on the adjuster *************************** and her manager ************************************* faxed the receipt to her office and have yet to receive any response..my attorney also gave full authorization for the adjuster to speak and call me regarding the rental and my attorney has also tried to contact the adjuster multiple times its been a nightmare and an headache especially during the holidays im just want to be reimbursed so I can have and provide a Christmas for my family I would like for someone to hear my concerns and would like my money reimbursed **** as promised ****************Kemper Corporation

This company stole my car!! I had an accident with a cow on a rural road and on Kemper's advice, I took it to a body shop for an estimate. The next thing I knew, my car was GONE!! I received no offer of salvage or settlement, they just came and stole my car out of the body shop! That was in the beginning of October. It is now the middle of December and each time I call a representative to get my settlement from them, I am told "the check is in the mail". So far, according to them, they have sent the check to the "wrong address" three times! I have become homeless and my husband has died during this time and I am the guardian of my young grandson with no way to get him to school each day! Although Kemper says they will give me $10,000. as a settlement, they ARE LIARS! What the heck does BBB base their A rating on for this company?Kemper Corporation

Kemper's adjuster told me over the phone, i'd get reimbursement from car rental while my car is being repaired ( Kemper's policy holder was the party at fault ) I sent my car rental receipt via emails ( and Cc my insurer on it,) but no replies. It's been over a month. I heard from several people, and they all said Kemper is a really bad insurance company, very hard to deal with. I've never heard of this company before, but their notoriety proceeded them. To assess how good an insurance company is, is not only how good they treat you when you're not at fault, but especially when you are. How did they even get an " A+ " rating ?Kemper Corporation

It's wild seeing the ************************** the last 12 month time frame. I really wish I would have looked at the BBB reviews before I decided to take on this company as my insurance company. I haven't had a claim since **** and I had an incident where another policy holder under another insurance policy from another company took full responsibility and agreed to pay for everything however Kemper decided to fight my body shop estimates and, long story short, the body shop couldn't even begin the work on my vehicle until the 30th day because of their incompetence in deciding the value of replacement parts for my claim. I don't use incompetence lightly or as a jab - the body shop quoted 6000$ for replacement parts and Kemper adjusters chose to reimburse only **** on the first payment. After going back and forth 3 or 4 times with the body shop, Kemper finally agreed to the 6000$ total resulting in work beginning 30+ days after the claim was first opened. ******************* and ***************************** were the adjusters at Kemper. ***** never answered a call from me once without it going to voicemail. When I asked to escalate to *****'s supervisor, ****************** never replied to a single email or called me through the duration of the claim. I am happy to share documentation of this claim with leadership of Kemper but as I see that 299 complaints have been made in the last 12 months and a BBB rating of **** at Kemper, literally anyone can conclude that Kemper accepts this as their quality standard and status quo. I will not be paying Kemper another cent and I will vehemently resolve to help all those I care about never to use Kemper as a result of their accepted quality standards in dealing with a claim that the other party fully accepted responsibility for. The story is a lot longer, but I'm not spending any more time on these clowns. Do NOT settled with Kemper if you want an insurance company that you expect to support you in any claim situation. --************************Kemper Corporation

Kemper insurance are you bunch of liars. So my car was stolen 10/9/222 I reported the same day to the police and insurance company KEMPER. The car was found 10/14/22 . ******** told me my car was picked up from the tow yard so the appraisal can be done on the vehicle that was Tuesday 11/8/22. Come Tuesday 11/15/22 I get a call from my adjuster because Ive been waiting for a answer about whats going on with my car. She tells me car was not picked up last week and it will be picked up today. She lied to me and told me it was picked up 11/8. Thats my only car I have and have been paying out of pocket to get to work. So now she tells me I have to wait for the appraisal to be done. I dont have time for the lies they been telling me. KEMPER CAN YOU PLEASE SPEED THIS UP. She said this could take up to ***** days . Im madddKemper Corporation

Absolutely horrible service. It has taken almost a year since minor injury accident to resolve. I just keep getting pushed off the side it seems. Treatment was done and complete back in may. Still haven't paid me my lost wages or bills. It's nuts!!Kemper Corporation

What each person has said about Kemper is the truth. They will lie and give you the run-around and do their best not to fulfill what they say they will do, even when their insured is at fault. They will hold your car hostage when the repairs are over so called "limits" and will not tell how much it over the limit is even when you agree to pay. Then they try to have you sign a paper saying any future problem due to the accident is not their problem. I can't think of any good thing to say about this company. I gave one star because that is the lowest you can give.Kemper Corporation
