My husband and I have received exceptionally fine service from Banker's Life and Casualty supplemental Insurance for the past 10-plus years. Both of us have had numerous surgeries and hospitalizations. Payments were always met on time. Any changes or new information has been sent in a timely period. The premiums may be high but we cannot remember paying very many bills from the medical world!!! It surprises me to read about the different experiences people have had with ******'s Life. I can only say we have been very pleased with their work for many years.Bankers Life

Very bad customer service. We've asked 3 times for a copy of our policy and they said it would take 5 days for them to mail it. We received the policy in the mail with pages missing. Called the office and asked if they could email or fax and was told they would fax it. Fax copy received the first time was again missing pages. We called back and again was told they would fax another set - we received 10 pages of the policy that belonged to us and the remaining pages was for someone else (breach of confidentiality!!). We called a 3rd time and asked them to email a copy and was told it would take 2-5 days before they could email a copy but that they would TRY to expedite the process. After arguing for 30 min on the phone was finally told they would send an email. It's been over 2 hours since the conversation and we HAVE NOT received the email amnd now their office is closed. How hard is it to send a PAYING customer a copy of THEIR OWN POLICY!! Tried to retrieve it online and that didn't work either. What kind of policy do you have that a customer can't obtain what they need when they need it. COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Bankers Life

Very sad that we have been waiting for a month on something that is rightfully ours! This company has lied every single phone call and could care less about the individuals that keep them in business! We sent paperwork in October 13,2023 and was told the system was down and that we had to wait another **** business days ok now thats up we are still waiting! But you better not be late on paying the policy or they will promptly try and cancel your policy! Ridiculous!!!! This company is unbelievable and their day is coming! You reap what you sow!!! I would advise anyone DO NOT!!! DO NOT!!! DO NOT!!! sign any agreement with these people! Dealing with death is difficult enough and this added stress isnt helpful! How do you people sleep at night!?Bankers Life

If I could leave a negative review for stars I would. This company has been a nightmare for the last few months dealing with different stories of active accounts versus non-active accounts. Everyone has been unreliable and untrustworthy. I would not recommend this company to anyone.Bankers Life

I have been getting called atleast 3-4 times a week for the last three weeks sometimes multiple times a day. I have told MULTIPLE agents that they have the WRONG number. I have asked nicely and other times firmly, to please remove my number. And they HAVE NOT. At this point I feel harassed and spam called and wondering about the true credentials of this company.Bankers Life

My mom has been paying into a long term care policy for over 20 years. She has never made a claim. I have been trying to get reimbursement for minimal home care since July 2023. It is now October. Every time I call they give me a different reason why they cant move forward. They are now ( for the 3rd time) saying they need visit notes from the nurse. These have been sent several times. Once while I watched. They just keep running me in circles. And she is still being billed monthly for care she cant access. I feel very sorry for people who are trying to navigate this system without help.Bankers Life

I have been dealing with the ******, **, ****** of ******** Life. The ******** Life agent who sold me an annuity misrepresented the terms wildly and would not let me see the terms until after the period that I could withdraw. In the meantime, they chose to reduce the "participation rate" which determines the amount of annual payout on the one year that the market went up. Last year, they did not send a "warning letter" that it was time to choose the mix of investments for the anniversary. I noticed this about 2 weeks after the anniversary. I got their approval in writing (Including the branch manager at the time, ***) that they would change the "mix" for the upcoming year to the fixed-rate option. At the end of the year with my annual statement it showed $0 payout. With the change I had requested and that they said they granted, I lost over $1000 from what I should have. I have been on the phone at least 25 times this corrected. Now, the agent, *****, returned only one of the calls and said she would help, but did not. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CONSUMERS TO AVOID DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH BANKER'S LIFE INSURANCE PRODUCTS.Bankers Life

Whom it may concern, Sept 9th, 2023 I have been since July 24, of 2023 trying to change the beneficiary on my two annuities with Bankers life and casuality. I have called them on 7/24/23,..8/10/23, 8/15/23,, 8/24/23 and again on 9/7/23. They have sent me 2 or three different forms and on the first form they wanted my password on the form and I refused to put the password on the form but filled them out and mail them and few weeks later they changed beneficiary on the smaller $ annuity and I continue to try to get the larger $ annuity changed. The second last time they said I did not have a beneficiary on the larger one when I know I did. On 9/7/23 they said they were going to have a meeting and let me know. Today, 9/9/23 I received a payment coupon to send them $300 to my smaller $ annuity. When I talked to them on 9/7/23 I mentioned to them maybe I should transfer my money to a different financial institution. I mentioned to them on 9/7/23 that I was advised by my estate lawyer to report Bankers life to my states **** of insurance and file a complaint. So, in conclusion, I find it very odd that I receive today 0/9/23 via mail a deposit coupon rather than a, "A corrected, changed of beneficiary."Bankers Life

1 starA gentleman, identifying himself as a Bankers Life employee arrived at my residence at 10:48 today, 9-8-2023, stated my name and that he knew I had a birthday "coming up soon." I stated that my birthday was not until March and he stated that he knew that. He was unannounced, unwelcome, and made me very uneasy. He came to my door despite No soliciting signs posted at each entrance to our community. I told him I was not interested and thanked him for his time. He turned and walked back to a vehicle. This visit has me upset and concerned. In addition, he disregarded and violated our community rules. This type of aggressive marketing is inappropriate and in my view not a good business practice. I was unable to locate an email address on their website so resorted to using their Quote Request email to express my displeasure and concern.
