They have been charging me as a supplemental insurance to my ******** but have been paying next to nothing towards my plan. Most of the time they pay nothing. Don't be scammed by them. They come up with excuses why the didn't pay. Mostly the blame your doctor saying they didn't file the claim correctly. This happens all the time with them.

I have a short-term care policy with Bankers Life. They updated their system and my policy in the system went from monthly payments to quarterly payments. I called and spoke with eight individuals who could not help me at all. I kept getting transferred to the wrong departments and no one knew who could change the amount in the online system back from quarterly to monthly!!! Terrible customer service and none were knowledgeable about how to fix a simple error. What is wrong with this company???? After two hours and two phone calls back to back nothing was resolved. Just Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Next phone call is to my agent to see if he can resolve the issue.

Bankerslife has scammed my mother and has forced my mothers policy into nonforfeiture status that only pay a fraction of the coverage. She has been paying on the policy for over 24 years with auto drafts. With a rough estimate, the amount she has spent on the coverage and what they are offering in coverage is $15k less than she paid for the insurance over the 24 year period. My mothers bank account was compromised requiring it to close and and new one activated. As you can imagine, getting the income added to the new account and then the payments added second to pay the bills added. You can not fix it in days, but weeks. Mom had two policies and we were able to call on one and get it changed by phone, but the other we missed it. Naturally when the original draft from Bankerslife did not happen they waited 15 days before they made the letter to notify us then mailed it. Twenty-three days after the failed draft we received the first notice. Mom was paying monthly, but the notice states what is due is three months worth of payments. We start making calls and found out that Bankerslife would not take the new account info by phone or e-mail, only by mail. Why one policy we could fix by phone, and the other we could not was never explained. The authorizing agent, I was never able to reach so I reach out to others for help. All that was accomplished was more time lost. We mailed voided checks as required. we sent in forms. We made more calls with no results. We continually got more notices and each one we would make contact either with customer service, agent, or mail something. Mail was sent and notices came with termination at the 120th day because no-one can do anything except by mail. Now began the reinstate forms. This was to get us to send in more info that they actually responded to because it was designed to prove that my mother was not fit for coverage!! No form= no coverage and with form=no coverage. Checkmate!!!

I have dealt with this company and their total inefficiency. For 4 months, I have been given a run around on my husbands long term healthcare. This company pushes papers and says they havent received papers sent in. I am to the point that if things are not handled quickly , I will contact our attorney. I will also *** due to the avoidance of wanting to pay and adding addition stress and grief to my life. Bottom linethis company avoids responsibility of addressing their customers. I would never suggest anyone deal with this company ever. They are only after your money and try to frustrate their paying customers and make their lives a living h*** I will not take it any longer.

Bankers Life Long term is borderline a Fraud ! You would have a better return with your money going to a .01% saving acct My father paid over $ ****** to this policy over a 20 year period . He was receiving home health for 6 months prior to going into a long term care home . He had'nt planned that he would be entering LTC after a fall and admission to the hospital and then hospice . I am his son and wasnt aware of the policy until i started going thru his personal papers. I immediately called and opened a claim , this went smoothly and was informed i would receive a call in a few days . This call went smoothly and was assured that because he had been receiving home health for the prior 6 months there wouldnt be any 90 day waiting period. This is where it stopped going smoothly , the need for information and the Web that was weaved from this point foward was a nightmare !! I live **** miles away from my father and have been with him since his fall that landed him in the hospital.Well Bankers Life Insurance it looks like you got what you have planned for my father and i can only imagine many , many other policy owners he died .I am a business owner and follow the rule that a service comes back to me as a profit . I feel that all you do is give the business to your customers to increase your bottom line . Your product is a false blanket of security with the hopes that your customers never need the product you sell the " insurance industry " . I have life insurance , health insurance , auto insurance , homeowners and business insurance. All of which i have had to with the exception of life collected on at some point . It was there when i needed it it and never felt i was not getting what i paid for.Bankers life insurance your long term policy business is nothing more then " unfair trade practice" and i will make you and your company part of my casual conversation for the rest of my existence , and it wont be postive .

Absolutely terrible company. Never trust them with anything especially money. My friend had signed up for a bankers life policy when. She later wanted to take cash value out of her policy and surrender it because it was a terrible policy. The people on the phone are awful to work with. They do not listen to what we need. We were calling to check the info on her life insurance policy when the last name on the policy was switched after her divorce. Two tries later there is nothing done. This was over the course of 4 years. We decided to finally surrender the policy and get her a new policy. when going through the steps of taking cash value out and faxing all of the information in we called back a week later and they said the info was incorrect because the last name was never changed again. nobody thought to reach out and call us to tell us. we have called them multiple time over the course of a month to have Bankers Life tell us when the cash value would be returned and they keep saying it will take up to 6 days. Just over a month later nothing has come through yet and nobody there knows how to do a thing. They keep saying they will send a email up the line. Bankers Life is a terrible company. They are awful on their clients and should never be trusted with anything. They do not know what they are doing or how to salve a simple issue of a name change with 4 years and three tries. When we told the agent our issue she was rude and defensive as if it were our fault. Terrible company.

We took out our policy in 2000 when we started oh business for more protection. We were told it would be a good policy and last our lifetime and keep us protected in our business being self employed. Unfortunately our representative soul we pasted away and he did not continue representing Bankers Life. We never received another representative from the company. We called and was given random people to to talk to and eventually received letters from Colorado for paying more money to keep our policy in effect with the explanation it was a universal policy which didn't make since and was not explained. The next year we were called again and told we had to pay more money in $700 to keep our policy in force. We still was not totally explained why! This year we had a representative call who was on her way back from Colorado to Montana wanted to set ***** appointment to see us. Information was given to her about our policies. She told me she would check them out and get back to us. She called to make appointment to come back but couldn't make it. She set up a called appt but forgot to call. She informed us we would be charged $700 a year more to keep our policy in effect. They were taking payments out of our account automatically so why they didn't just tell us our premium would be going up and raise the rate??? But they sent us letters. So we told them to cancel the representative to me we had $ 500 and $ 90 left in the policy. She said she would send an email to us to sign which I never saw, I called her when they took out another payment and asked her about why another payment was taken and they sent another email to sign which we did. TODAY WE RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER TELLING US WE HAVE TO PAY TO CANCEL OUR INSURANCE. HOW IS THAT RIGHT!!!!!
