I was contacted by Keller Postman, LLC over a year ago regarding the Turbo Tax Settlement. I was told I would receive it in Venmo, after a few months I hadnt received it so I reached out and was sent an email claiming that they attempted to send it and it failed they would be issuing a check and mailing it to soon. That was over 6 months ago. I believe this business to be a scam. They represent customers in settlements but when it comes down to it they just keep your money and dont pay out. We negotiated an individual settlement offer for *****************, which she accepted. She selected PayPal as her method of ******* for the settlement. As per our settlement administrators records, Ms.******** ******* was deposited into her PayPal account in August 2022. After we received her complaint, we promptly contacted ****************** with the deposit details, including the PayPal Transaction ID, to help her locate the settlement *******. We investigated Ms. ******* complaint and, according to our settlement administrator, she elected to receive her settlement payment via Venmo. However, it appears her Venmo payment expired before she was able to claim it. We contacted the settlement administrator and requested that Ms. ******* payment be reissued on an expedited basis. We wrote to *************** with an update, letting her know we would provide her with a tracking number ASAP, and she did not express any further concerns. We anticipate *************** will receive her reissued check within the next few days.Initial Complaint

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Keller Postman LLC, a law firm located at ****************************************************************************. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the matter, I have been unable to obtain a resolution or even basic communication from the firm regarding an outstanding issue.I engaged the services of Keller Postman LLC to handle a legal matter, and as part of their agreement, they issued a settlement check to me. However, to my disappointment and frustration, I have yet to receive the funds owed to me despite their assurances that the check would be reissued promptly. It has now been several months since they made this promise, and I am still left without the compensation I am rightfully owed. Initially, I maintained a professional and patient approach, understanding that unforeseen delays can occur. However, my attempts to contact Keller Postman LLC have been met with silence. Phone calls go unanswered, voicemails are ignored, and emails are left unacknowledged. This lack of communication is not only unprofessional but also raises concerns about the firm's integrity and commitment to its clients.I request your intervention to mediate this matter and ensure a fair resolution. Please assist in compelling Keller Postman LLC to reissue the check promptly and establish reliable communication.I have retained relevant documentation and can provide additional evidence if required.To further add more problems to the complaint, I originally signed up to have the payment made by ACH Bank transfer.. Our settlement administrator originally sent ************************ his settlement payment in December 2022. He contacted ** in February 2023 and stated that he has not yet received his payment. We told ************************ that we would be happy to cancel his check and reissue another check, but that process can take several months. He agreed with that timeline, so we asked our settlement administrator to proceed with canceling his check and reissuing payment. It took our settlement administrator longer than anticipated to reissue his payment, but we communicated with *********************** throughout the process. This law firm is corrupt. The told me I would receive my ******** settlement via zelle. It never came through. I then reached out by phone and got through however the man who answered the phone informed me the zelle payment FAILED. My account works just fine receiving and sending so I knew that was a lie. I reached out via email giving a lengthy explanation of how they have failed to communicate and be transparent about the settlement. All I received was more lies about how a check would be sent to my address and Id receive a verification email before hand. Never got either (check, email). Do NOT fall victim to their scheme. I have attached proof. And theyll just respond to this with another lie saying the reached out to me via emailblah,blah,blah but its all a lie.Business Response

According to our records, Ms. ******* settlement payment was issued on January 9, 2023 to her bank account via Zelle, which is the method of disbursement she selected, using payment information she inputted.On January 23, 2023, ****************** contacted ** to let ** know that she received a notification that her Zelle payment had failed. We agreed to request that her payment be reissued by paper check, and we submitted that request to the settlement administrator. Unfortunately, that request has taken longer than anticipated, due to the fact that the settlement administrator has been waiting for the funds to be returned from Zelle. The settlement administrator has assured ** that they should receive the returned funds and be ready to reissue Ms. ******* payment via expedited shipping in the coming days. We attempted calling **************** to update her on the situation, but we were unable to reach her and left a voicemail. We will continue working with **************** and the settlement administrator to make sure **************** gets her settlement payment as quickly as possible.Initial Complaint

Instead, she has a new dispute against Intuit in connection with an issue she is having with their services. We explained that our previous representation does not extend to new disputes, so we are unable to offer our assistance at this time. In July 2022 I received a letter telling me that a settlement had been reached. I was told that i was awarded ****** and that my share after their fees was ******. So first of all that is them taking more than 35% of my ******. Then there is the fact that I was told my check would get sent in December, except it didn't come.When I called and asked why I did not get the check I was told it had been mailed in November. Now I can't reach anyone on the phone or by e-mail. Please help me to get the money I was awarded. We spoke with Ms. ****** over the phone several times about her BBB complaint. We explained that her original settlement check was sent by the settlement administrator in November 2022, but it was returned as non-deliverable. We explained that, in her retainer agreement, she agreed to pay us a flat fee for our representation of her, but we reduced the agreed upon fee in our discretion. Even though her original settlement check was returned,Ms. ******* reissued payment was slated to be mailed in the next week as part of a routine reissue process. But we explained that we were happy to re-issue her payment separately on an expedited basis. Ms. ****** agreed with this course of action and, as soon as a tracking number was available, we shared it with her. Received an email from KP saying I had a Zelle Coinbase settlement pmt for $145.95. I no longer had a checking account that worked with ***** and had 2 weeks to claim pmt til it would be mailed. I ran all over town in an Uber to open an account to receive it. Tried to receive it, it was not working. ** said it's a Zelle issue and ***** said it's a KP issue. Then comes trying to contact KP by phone which is a nightmare. Hold time I had today alone was 3.5 hours and the only reason it ended was because I finally just left a voicemail. Every time I've called has been a two hour hold time where I end up hanging up, only got through one time. I emailed every KP email I could find online and eventually received a callback. I was told that the Zelle payment was cancelled while I still had time to claim and check would be 8 weeks just to mail. Knowing they had my old address I made sure I updated my number and address to prevent issues. I also emailed them Jan 24 and once again provided my phobe number and address which they responded by saying we confirm that your information is up to date in our records. Well wouldn't ya know that when I received an email today telling me the check has been mailed that it had been sent to my old address still and also that even though I'm told it has been mailed I was given a time period of three weeks to recieve it. I didn't know **** still offered mail delivery via someone riding a donkey still. How when I went above and beyond making sure my info was up to date and they confirmed it twice does this happen. Guess who's gonna be the one that now suffers the negative effects of the exact situation I double made sure wouldn't happen. I appreciate the settlement effort but I dont have millions in bank accounts so when you say I have a check coming I'm really counting on that money and can only do so much on my end to make sure there's no issues. I can't control what happens in your end but still seem to be the one who has to deal with it.Business Response

I was part of the Amazon class action suit. I received an email on 10/15/23 saying my payment of $197.67 has been successfully delivered. I joined a lawsuit against ****** via an ad on Instagram from ****** law by way of Keller Postman. After joining I reread the contract and the fees agreed to are higher than what would come from the suit. The contract said you could cancel the engagement within 24 hours by emailing *************************************** which I did. I never heard back from them. I tried calling them via their 800 number and their ******* office number and the recording said there's a high call volume and someone would get back to me if I left a message. This was their outgoing message every time I called. They have not responded to any emails or calls even though I emailed ************************************** within 8 hours of the contract signing to cancel. This seems like a SUPER shady way for these forms to get people to essentially sign on to a case and agree to giving any resulting proceeds to the law firms.Business Response
