I went to Village Medical for my yearly preventative wellness exam. VM billed my insurance correctly for this visit, however the blood work order to support this preventative visit was incorrectly coded. According to my insurance provider Cigna, the *** codes are incorrect. The cause has illness vs. wellness, the claim has sickness vs. wellness and the diagnosis has illness vs. wellness. I have called VM numerous times and you have to go through a call center which is so frustrating. Cigna has called and left messages at least 4 times, and Sonora Quest has also called several times to get the correct codes for wellness. I have also gone to the office in person twice and they say they will take care of it. VM takes no ownership of their coding mistake. I have even emailed all the documents to their billing email address with no acceptable response. VM local office told me to call my insurance and get the correct codes for them, they will not call the insurance company or return their calls. VM has only returned Sonora Quest call one time telling them they only had one code. It is unacceptable that you cannot call the local office for a quick resolution, you can only go through a call center.VM has told me that they only have one code for blood work - Screening for disorder - ICD-10:Z13.9: Encounter for screening, unspecifiedCigna has told me not to pay the lab bill due to the coding error by VM; meanwhile, Sonora Quest is going to send me to collections. My insurance allows a yearly free of charge preventative visit and blood work. VM needs to take ownership of their mistake. Do not respond with a message to call the call center for resolution. VM either needs to get someone in their billing department that knows coding, or call my insurance company to correct this situation.VillageMD

Before Village Medical took over AFM was great with communication. Village Medical is horrible, it takes days to get a response or call back. I had abnormal results drop into my UCHEALTH portal last Thursday, today is Monday and they still are not in Village Medical. I wish they would go back to UChealth.VillageMD

Awful. Went there for medical clearance for surgery. Had to scream for the office manager as she never faced it to my surgeon and it was 4 pm. Also, waited almost an hour for my appointmentVillageMD

Dr. sent me for bloodwork same day check results made changes to my blood pressure meds, I started having heart racing I called main phone on a Wednesday said I need to talk to dr. **** Friday I heard nothing so I went in the office they said no Dr today. Lady very rude said Dr called me that Wednesday but went to my voice mail. I told her I have no miss call , no message. *** said that happens to her phone. Follow Monday I went back to office told this rude lady I need to talk to dr ** not feeling good. *** said come back at 3 I said cant have to take friend to dr. *** said he would see me at 5 after his last patient. Got phone call about 4:30 saying he would call me about 6 I said on my way there. **** lady said Dr left for day as I walked thru door I saw dr walking across floor. I asked what is going on here. I said he is not my primary care Dr anymore. **** said if I didnt leave she would call police. These women joking with dr when I first met him tells me they lie for each other. I called main number put in complaint. Maybe I need to call channel 12 because no one returned my call obout complaint. This tells me there all in cohoots together.VillageMD

My moms doctors office was recently purchased by Village Medical. Once this practice was bought by Village Medical, the doctors and the practice became money hungry and no longer focused on what was best for the patient. My mom, a dementia patient, was charged for estate planning which was absolutely NOT something she brought up or asked for assistance about. More importantly, Im an attorney and had her estate planning under control. (But, also, what exactly does a doctor think they can do considering they cannot practice law unless they want to commit a felony). I disputed the bill but no one would discuss the very real scam (which, of course, they were also paid by ******** for). I cannot warn you away enough. Theyll take advantage and show very little empathy while doing so.After calling THREE times to discuss this with their call center, I was repeatedly assured I would have a response, but instead of talking with me about it, they just sent her to collections (for a bill for $84!!). Absolutely awful. They should be ashamed and you should find another provider.VillageMD

I was charged for an additional visit on the same day as part of my annual wellness visit because V.Med. says my Dr and I discussed things that we DID NOT. A phone call to ******** confirmed this! However, my Dr, notes on V. Med. website say " nothing discussed" that would allow V. Med. to charge me for an "extra" visit. ******** said they will file fraud charges if/when I ring back. So, to V. Med.: please reimburse me.VillageMD

Absolutely worst experience. Doctor treated me differently as soon I said I was self pay. Then they charged me for two office visits on same day and an ekg that was never discussed about or done, hence why there were no results for an ekg. I have called the office the office manager was suppose to fix **** and call me when she did. Its been weeks and still no call back. I called corporate and still nothing gets done. They had the nerve to send again another bill with incorrect billing. This needs to be resolved.VillageMD

I wish I could give this outfit zero stars. Our doctor of 25 years gave up his own practice and joined Village Medical (VM). Since that time, we have had repeated issues with billing mistakes and inability to contact the office by phone, text or email. The culmination of this dreadful experience was a bill for bloodwork. Bloodwork that should have been coded as "medically necessary". After 4 months of going backwards and forwards with procrastination from VM, we were told by the company who had performed the tests that the bill was going to a collection agency. We reluctantly paid the bill ourselves and have severed ties with our long time doctor.VillageMD

My clinic (*************************) was taken over by VM. Their ********* Protocal" is ridiculous! I normally go in 2x a year for blood work & meds. They started calling me, texting me, emailing me almost 4x a week to come in. I finally went off on this lady that called. She said VM's ******** Protocol was for patients to come in every 4 months! I asked if this was required by ******** & she said "no". My physician calls in drugs & never tells me what they are for or to stop taking something! I sent a message thru their "patient portal" about it. My doctor didn't reply but someone on her "team" I assume. She replied stop taking "xxx" drug. No reason, no explanation. So for 3 weeks I had the most awful headache. I stopped taking those 2 meds & went back to my originals. So lately, they've started calling & texting about getting my eyes examined. Guess what, I can't afford to get new glasses/contacts because EVERYTHING has risen in price! I told that woman that called to put on my records TO STOP CALLING ME! I have been going to this clinic since I was born in ****, and never have I seen such a horrible medical company. VM has taken over almost every practice in our area and they are playing a most dangerous game with ******** patients. They want to force you thru their protocol, sending you to all of the specialists in their conglomeration. How can a company that provides medical services NOT BE BBB APPROVED???? I think it's high time regulators dig into this company & shut them down. There's a reason they've grown so big, and it's NOT because of great patient service!VillageMD
