ParkWhiz was a total scam. Made two parking reservations. First time I showed up the parking pass was not available in the app they made me use (Best parking). I ended up having to pay double the amount to the parking attendant. I did get a refund for that reservation. Tried several times to cancel the second reservation in advance, but no one would help, just got a runaround, asking me for more and more information while ignoring what I already provided, and then giving me the same boiler plate response. I ended up being charged twice for that Second reservation even though I had tried multiple times to cancel it. I never received a parking pass despite being charged twice. I was unable to get a refund despite multiple requests. Had to cancel my credit card to avoid being charged erroneously.Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience and for the misunderstanding!
Our response times are slower than desired right now due to heavy volume. Our agent has replied to your original email and provided you with a full refund for your parking pass. While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days to hit your account.
Again we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.

Hi ******,
Thank you for reaching out to us and we are so sorry for your frustration. It is important to note that we are just a third-party listing service and we do not own or operate these locations. After looking into your case, I found that your parking pass has not yet started, meaning you can cancel it for a full refund and rebook for a different location that is closer to your event. If you have any troubles cancelling your pass before it has started, please reach out to our support team so we can assist you.
We apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused!

I am rejecting this response because: your attempt to duck responsibility for your actions is irresponsible. You sold me a parking spot, charged me immediately, and then 8 days prior to the event tried to substitute much less convenient parking for what I reserved without any refund or consideration. It is not my fault you have poor business partners and practices. I have a business relationship with Parkwhiz and you did not provide the parking you accepted my payment for. You are trying to unilaterally change the commitment you made to me. This is exceptionally poor business practice. I don't need a refund, I need the parking I paid for. At this point, finding good parking is impossible. If you cannot keep your commitments you should not be in business. In effect you are saying, I know you bought front row tickets months ago, but I got a bigger payment from someone else so you can sit 10 roes back but pay the same price... it's insane. You are failing to provide the service you were paid for. Do the right thing.
Sincerely,

Hello ******,
I understand your frustration regarding the parking availability. Please note that while we do our best to list accurate information, parking inventory is managed directly by each location and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
If you wish to cancel your pass, you may do so up until the start time of your reservation. Alternatively, our support team can also provide you with the contact information for the desired parking location, allowing you to arrange accommodations directly with them.

I am rejecting this response because the business is merely copying and pasting the same response.Canceling a reservation at the last moment, substituting a lower value service but charging the same rate, and "allowing" me to cancel, are not the actions of a business that cares at all about its customers and could be seen as fraud eg bait and switch. Trying to shift blame to another party and not accept responsibility for your actions arw the behaviors of a child, not a responsible business. Wronging a customer and not offering even an apology, and saying you understand I am frustrated is not even vaguely an apology, is also a poor business practice.
I imagine the BBB would not condone such behavior.
Sincerely,

Parkwhiz sold me a parking pass in ************ for the Monster Jam eastern block on 5/4/24. Parking in that specific lot had been greatly oversold, and the roads leading to said lot wete closed by police/traffic enforcement due to the lack of parking. I had reached out same day to ******* via phone and messaging and confirmed with them, I had never scanned my parking pass nor even made my event ($400 in tickets WASTED) due to the oversold lot. I have recieved no updates since 5/11/24.Main event started at 1pm. I was on the phone with support multiple times between then and 2pm, indicating I was not in the arena.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: while Parkwhiz has attempted to make right the issue of my refund and parking issues, it DOES NOT excuse the fact they had oversold parking for an event, took almost a month to get a refund issued, and ONLY acted as such when faced with correspondence from the BBB. I accept the refund, but false promises of service causing me to be unable to attend my event does not make them suddenly innocent. I want everyone to know this company is a sham, and their 1 star ratings across the board with the BBB are rightfully earned. Never do business with these scam artists.

Hi *******,
Thank you for taking the time to explain your situation. We take all customer issues seriously, and your feedback is much appreciated. We're taking the necessary steps with the management at that location to ensure mishaps like this don't occur again.
To clarify, we do have processes in place, and to refund your pass, we had to wait for the location you booked at to approve the refund. We understand that the delay has caused great frustration for you, so as a gesture of goodwill, weve added a $20 credit to your Parkwhiz account. The credit can be used up to one year after its issuance. To use the credit, please be sure you are logged into Parkwhiz, and you will see the credit applied at checkout.
Hope you're having a great day, and please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

I purchased advanced parking thru ParkWhiz for garage ******************************* Lot - P2326 in ********* for May 11th to park between 7:00 PM and 11:59 PM. I paid $23.20. I was attending an event with my 77 year old mother who has arthritis and cant walk very well. I purposely purchased parking in this lot because it was closest to the venue. Upon arrival, the lot was oversold and other customers were existing because there were no spaces left. The lot was unattended and individuals who had not purchased parking had taken spaces. I called ParkWhiz and received a recording regarding increased phone calls. I was forced to park across the street at the next closest garage, *************, that had a pricing surge of $40. My mom had to walk further and I ended up paying a total of $63.20 for the evening to park. I submitted an refund claim to Parkwhiz Customer Support on 5/13. An agent named **************** responded to my request and said I would be refunded the $23.20. She ignored my request to be refunded the $40 that I had not planned to pay because the lot I paid for was full of individuals who did not pay. These are deceptive practices and not fair. As of today, I have not been refunded even the $23.20. I replied to ******'s message, as the email states to do if I need further assistance, and as of today, I have not received a response. I reached out again on May 22 at ******************************* and still no response. I would like to be refunded $63.20.Business Response

Hi ******,
We hope this email finds you well.
We apologize for the inconvenience, ******. We have checked our systems and we can confirm that our support representative have refunded your ParkWhiz purchase in full, I have attached a copy of the refund letter generated through our payment processing system. Please contact your bank if you still haven't received the refund.
We also wanted to clarify that ParkWhiz is a third-party listing service - we do not own nor operate the parking facilities and we simply list parking spots for operators who signed up for the service. Having said that, we do not control the number of spots our partner facilities are selling outside ParkWhiz. In this case, we have already refunded the payment that was made through ParkWhiz and we are, unfortunately, unable to issue refunds for payments made outside the ParkWhiz system.
We have added $20 in ParkWhiz credits to your account for the difference and as a one-time courtesy -- you may use the credits towards your next purchase via ParkWhiz Web or mobile app by logging in to your account prior to checkout. In the future, please try to locate and seek assistance from an onsite parking attendant so they can help you find an available parking spot within their parking facility. You may also contact us via phone, email, or chat with us via ******************************* if you encounter any onsite issues.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. Our sincere apologies again for the trouble, ******. Let us know if you have any other concerns!

I am rejecting this response because:Offering a credit to use your services again is ludicrous. Why would I want to? And offering it as a courtesy to me, as if I did something wrong, is insulting.
Also, you suggested that I talk with a parking attendant. If you read my initial refund request that I submitted through ParkWhiz, you would see that there was not a parking attendant. This is why there were no spaces. People were parking for FREE, which caused people like me to be without a space and having to park elsewhere.
You also suggested that I call ParkWhiz next time. I did just that and got the message about there being a huge call volume. Was I supposed to sit on hold for an hour and miss my event?
This display of courtesy along with suggesting that I do things that were not available is poor display of customer service.
Sincerely,
***************************Business Response

Hi ******,
Thank you for taking the time to explain your situation. Unfortunately, since we do not own or operate locations and we are only a third-party listing service, we are unable to control how each location is managed. We sincerely apologize that you were unable to use your parking pass and, as a result, we have issued a refund to your bank account for the full amount that you paid to Parkwhiz. If you would like to seek a refund beyond that, you will have to reach out to the location where you parked directly.
We have also issued a $20 credit as a gesture of goodwill. If you would like the credit to be removed, we can take care of that for you. However, I would encourage you to keep it, as the credit is available for up to one year from its issuance and can be used with any location that partners with Parkwhiz.
We hope you will give us another chance. Have a good day!

I was attending a concert at the ***************** in Downtown ********. A friend who would be joining me has a disability, so on April 26, 2024 I purchased what I thought were parking passes that were right outside of the Kemba Live Venue. In reality I paid, $62 for the parking pass with a $28 processing fee for a lot that was over a half mile away. We drove over to the lot that I thought I paid for and discovered that the lot is owned by Kemba Live and you could park there for $9/vehicle. We ended up parking right outside the entrance. ParkWhiz, subcontracted by Ticketmaster for event parking, failed to provide adequate exit access at ***** (Propark) Parking garage, resulting in an extra $30 charge. Despite notifying customer service and providing proof of payment, I was informed additional fees were unavoidable. Complaint: 21747868
I am rejecting this response because: While it is appreciated that you have refunded the purchase made for the permit, it fails to rectify the fundamental problem: the purchase was made under the premise of facilitating parking for an event. This transaction was conducted through Ticketmaster and explicitly advertised as event parking. The insistence on precise event times, such as those for a concert, is patently unreasonable.
Attached are reviews from numerous individuals who have similarly fallen victim to this deceptive practice. These instances, documented over the past year, underscore a recurring pattern of misconduct. Moreover, it is evident that the issue affects not only myself but numerous others who have chosen to voice their grievances in public forums, indicating a widespread problem that demands redress.
Furthermore, even if one were able to anticipate the parking needs for a concert, the reality of the situation is compounded by the frequent congestion within the parking garage. It is a well-known phenomenon that events with large attendances often result in significant delays in exiting parking facilities, leading to unwarranted overnight charges.
It is deeply concerning that your company advertises a service for a specific purpose, only to disavow any responsibility when said service fails to deliver. Such disingenuous practices raise doubts regarding the integrity of your operations. It is my firm belief that there exists an ulterior motive behind these actions, possibly involving undisclosed affiliations with the parking facility.
I am compelled to seek restitution not solely on the basis of the monetary loss incurred, but also on principle. This is not an isolated incident but rather emblematic of a systemic issue that warrants corrective action. The accumulation of seemingly minor injustices, when extrapolated across multiple occurrences, amounts to a significant sum. This is particularly troubling when one considers that this issue pertains to just one parking facility in **********
In conclusion, I demand the refund of the $30 paid for the permit as a matter of principle. It is imperative that appropriate measures are taken to address this pattern of corruption and ensure accountability within your organization. Failure to do so will compel me to explore alternative avenues to seek redress and prevent further exploitation of unsuspecting patrons.
Sincerely,
*************************Business Response

Hi ******,
We hope this email finds you well.
We are sorry to hear that the resolution provided was insufficient for you. We would like to clarify that ParkWhiz is a third-party company that offers parking services that are provided by parking facilities that signed up to sell parking through us. We do not own or operate the parking facilities, we are simply a listing service for parking providers.
In your case, we understand that there was a significant delay in exiting the facility, and as a courtesy, we have already refunded your ParkWhiz pass in full -- your parking was free and paid for by ParkWhiz. With regards to the extra fee that was charged onsite for staying late, you'd have to contact the parking operator themselves. We hope you understand that with or without ParkWhiz, egress is a possibility especially for events such as concerts, sports games, etc. Even if you drive up and opt to pay the board rates, you'd still incur additional charges for staying longer than expected.
In addition, we are unable to refund payments that are not made through ParkWhiz - your payment went directly to the parking operator and so, the funds are with them. Any issues pertaining to the facility such as ingress or egress should be raised to them directly. We are again, a listing service and do not own or operate any of these parking facilities.
We're sorry for all the trouble, ******. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Let us know if you have any other concerns. Thank you!

I reserved a parking spot on May 7th and paid in full. The reservation was for May 16th. When I arrived at the parking garage- the lot was full. They even had a car parked in the entrance overflowing onto the sidewalk causing a pedestrian hazard. The lot attendant advised this is common - to overbook- and to contact Park Whiz for a refund. I was left scrambling for a spot as I was attending a graduation and lots were full. I ended up parking in a lot that cost double the amount. After some back and forth via email, Park Whiz issued a CREDIT but I want a refund as I will NEVER use this app again.Business Response

On Friday May 17th I purchased a parking spot for a Dodger game that cost $70 after fees. The parking spot assigned to me was over a mile away from the stadium in a lot that charges $5 for all day. This made getting to the event very difficult as the walk was primarily all uphill and I was with disabled people. Turns out there is a bottom parking lot at the stadium that only charges $5 as well. I was misled and scammed out of a lot of money for a parking spot that more than hindered the night. I don't see how this is even legal.Business Response

I purchased parking online from this company. The night of the concert I arrived to a line of cars backed up for over half a mile. After an hour of waiting we got to the front only to find out ParkWhiz sold way more parking spaces than were available. I was told I could not park there even though I had a pass on my phone. I had to go park in another lot and pay cash to park. I was told to reach out and follow up with ParkWhiz since it was their error. I have sent multiple emails and still have not received an appropriate response or any sort of refund. It seems they can just continue to sell and get paid for something they dont even plan to have available. On top of it all we missed 2 opening acts while waiting and then trying to find another area to park. I sent a message right when we couldnt park and tried to call, but of course got a message saying they were backed up with calls.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I did receive an automated reponse on 5/4. Then got a reponse on 5/8 from a **** asking me for info. I responded on 5/8 and heard nothing back. Sent another email on 5/14 and nothing back. I finally got an email at 11:35 pm last night from Rain O stating I would not be getting my $51 refund and could have a $30 credit next time I used them. I have screen shots of when I tried to call that evening when I was not allowed in the parking lot and of the email I sent that evening. I have screen shots from Life 360 of my drive to that lot, stopping at that lot and where I had to leave and proceed to find a new lot to park and pay another parking fee. If a full $51 refund has been issued then I will accept that, but so far all I have are emails showing I will not be getting a refund for my purchase.
