I am rejecting this response because: We received one phone call from the insurance when I was at work and couldn't talk but have made multiple attempts to contact the insurance back and left multiple voice mails and have not heard back and the mold in our home has gotten worse and we are still without a washing machine.

      Sincerely,

***********************************er heater and washing machine were no longer working. The company is now refusing to take responsibility to replace all the damages and only replaced the water heater. They even attempted to downgrade us to a 40 gallon, from the 50 they damaged. Yes they replaced the water heater but have not fixed the drywall, and wood, there is now black mold forming as it had been exposed to the water on and off for 7 days total. The company is refusing to replace our washing machine as well as our carpet, tile and even the supply vent they damaged that also had sitting water in it. They are now stating we should contact our home insurance and that they will no longer be in direct contact with us and someone from their insurance will contact us at some point but they dont feel they are liable. Our home had new carpet, washer, etc. we should not be held responsible for thousands of dollars worth of damaged they caused. My wife is 5 months pregnant and I have 2 young children and pets in my home.

      Complaint: 20473936

I am rejecting this response because: I am not arguing that there was a leak or could still be. I am not an hvac expert, the previous leak had dye not sealent in it and that work was over 4 years ago, with no issue since.  It is completely irrelevant to this conversation.

The basis of this, and what was confirmed by the other company was there was no possible way that the 3lbs of freon could have been put into the system. The entire unit was frozen (picture attached),which was not identified by four seasons. When the second company arrived 3 hours later they opened the unit inside and said there was no work they ( or any other company could have done to put more freon in that day). When he was on the roof,  The Four season rep stated he could not get his pump to stabilize when he was attempting to put the freon in. The next day the

Second company came back out and put 1lb of freon in and the system. That resolved the issue and it has been working fine since. So clearly there is no ongoing leak.

On top of this, I had to continue to call four season to get a response and then was on a line and was recorded without being told so, which is illegal.

Again, I will pay for the visit out, but there is no way given the state of the unit being frozen that freon could have been put in. There have been no issues since the second opinion. I am unsure what the argument is from four seasons as there is physically no way freon could have been put in the system with the inches of ice. And if we do assume that it could have then the same result should have happened the next day, with the unit freezing. This clearly is meant to talk in circles and not own up to the fact that their technicians just tell everyone the need a new air conditioning unit. This aligns with the continued sales calls in receive despite having asked to be removed from their sales list for my alleged need for a new unit.

      Sincerely,

      *******************

ith dye to see if there is a leak. Also upon calling me to discuss the customer service rep did not inform me until 12 minutes into our call that the line was being recorded. So they were recording me without my consent.

      Business Response

      Date: 08/29/2023

Upon receipt of this complaint, as of 07/11/2023 we have been in contact with *********** when her initial complaint was brought to the attention of our ************* team. During the time of her initial complaint, she made us aware that she had worked with another company a  couple of years ago and  had *********** added to her air conditioner. Leak sealant is a product made with the purpose of sealing minor and hard-to-find leaks in either their actual air conditioning system or the copper line set.The copper line set allows refrigerant to flow through the unit so should there be a leak in the line set, whether it be minor or major, this would lead to the refrigerant  leaking out. Once refrigerant leaks out, it can lead to the A/C system freezing up at any point causing ice crystals/blocks to form. An air conditioner is a closed system and if there is signs of a leak somewhere, the only fix is to locate the leak and repair. The information ************ provided to ************** as well as our ************* team indicates that there was a pre-existing  leak in her system prior to us going out to her home. During the first and only visit with Four Seasons, ************** immediately discovered that ************** media filter was clogged and in need of being replaced. He also found that her A/C was low on 410A refrigerant and that there seems to be a restriction in her system. When ************** made ************ aware of the issues he was finding with her unit, ************ approved for ************** to proceed in adding 2lbs of refrigerant only with no additional repairs. After the pressures on her system showed no improvement, ************** asked if she would like to add 1 more lb to see if there was any improvement after that to which ************ approved. There was still no improvement but the consumer then asked ************** to leave the unit as is and she understood that the unit would not cool properly. She let ************** know that she would work on getting quotes for replacements  before making her final decision on how to proceed with her system.

On 7/11, the consumer had a second opinion on her unit provided by All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning. On their invoice (provided to us by ************) it indicated that upon arrival they found the coil in her system frozen and would need to return the next day to test the pressures on her unit. Also noted on the invoice which the consumer signed off on from All Temp, the consumer was informed that there was one or more leaks in her system.************ declined repairs. She was requesting for the system to only be recharged with more refrigerant. All Temp informed her that they cannot guarantee the length of time in which the system would hold the charge after the refrigerant was added and that any future refrigerant  would be chargeable . On 7/12 All Temp returned to the home and added 1lb of Puron refrigerant and dye and quoted her on a new furnace as well. She informed them that she would call them back once the system stops working again seeing as the service performed was very temporary. ************ is stating that it is not plausible that  Four Seasons  added 3lbs of refrigerant to her system due to her unit being frozen  while All Temp was providing service. However, when ************** was present at the consumers home the restriction was not exacerbated to the point of which it was later in the day when All Temp was present. As previously stated adding refrigerant to a system which already had a leak present holds no guarantees and is very temporary. Once refrigerant continues to escape  the system is susceptible to freeze at any moment.

In conclusion, we will not be refunding any fees collected by Four Seasons or reimbursing for the work provided by All Temp. Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning and Plumbing have followed all proper policies and procedures while providing service to the above customer. Thank you for your time and consideration in resolving this matter.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/14/2023

In response to ************** complaint, our original response remains the same.Although All Temp went out to the consumers home on 07/11 and found her unit frozen, this does not discredit the work that Four Seasons performed earlier that same day. ************ was made aware that adding Freon to a unit that is already experiencing issues with refrigerant leaking out is temporary fix. ************** advised ************ on two options when he discovered the refrigerant levels were low. The first option would have been to perform a leak repair which identifies where the leak is coming from so that it can be repaired to prevent future leaks. The second option was to recharge the unit with refrigerant  but this option comes without any guarantees. It is simply a temporary fix which is why it is presented as a secondary option. ************ agreed to go with the second option offered to only recharge the unit with no guarantees. Because the levels of refrigerant were not holding steady after the 3lbs of Freon were added, ************** proceeded to go over repair vs replacement options. As previously noted,  once refrigerant continues to escape  the system is susceptible to freeze and stop working at any moment. ************ was aware upon departure of our Four Seasons technician that her unit would not be cooling properly and she let ************** know that she would be shopping around for more quotes on replacements before making any further moves to purchase.

I Purchased, a combo air condition and heating unit about two years ago. July 21, 2021 to be precise. Back in May 2023 I called Four Seasons office for maintenance service, and when the technician came out, I also mention and pointed out to him that the water reservoir to the cooling unit was broken and was leaking. He said he couldnt do anything about it, but will make a note and let the office know. The matter and the problem was never followed up until today, August 12-2023 when I call the office to schedule yet another appointment to have somebody come out and look at the issue. The water reservoir part broke because the hose that supposed to empty the water away from the unit was clogged. Therefore the pump was overwhelmed by the weight of water, and broke. I was then told that that part was not covered under the warranty and therefore I have to pay out-of-pocket I dont think that was fair, because that was their fault for the pump not to be installed properly.

On July 5 four season came out to service are hvac systems after they had just been there 3 day prior for a tune up . As the system had stop cooling the house after the tune up . (Note system was work fine prior to tune up ) the tech couldn't find a issue with the system despite the fact there was low air flow from the system and thr system was only 8 -9 years old. He then told us the compressor in the ac was the issue and we would need a new unit as he couldn't find anything else wrong . They then gave us a deal on a new ac which we did get any info on and they installed the same day . 2 day after installation we were still having the same issue so we then called for service again and the tech said there was a problem with n coil and he need to have a senior tech to come tomorrow . He came back with a senior tech and we were told there Nothing was wrong and they left . We call and told the we weren't happy and want a refund or for a different bigger unit to be put in they said they to open a claim .after multiple day they came back with they need to send someone to measure so they did and we didn't hear back for several day agian . We call and told we want the unit out and are money back as they couldn't fix the issue and we continued to have more problems including the unit leaking water all over the furnace and inside it . They want to send a more senior tech again to see what was the issue who for a number of issur with the installation including air in the free-on lines . He claim to have fixed the issues but the system is still not work properly and we are requesting they honor there 2 year money back guarantee on the contract see as the coil was several damaged when they put it in and we were told it was ok ! I'm attaching photo of what the unit look on installation day along with they 2 year money back guarantee !!

I purchases a furnace and accessories from Four Seasons when mines went out. I call myself using a reputable company to do business with. I mentioned after it was put in that it wasn't reaching the upstairs and was told it was my duct work or treat it needed to be cleaned. Come to find out the furnace is undersized and that is why my house is not getting the air or heat it needs. This is so disappointing because I trusted them to guide me in the right direction when I purchased it. At the time of this purchase it was the winter and the heating exchange cracked in my furnace so my house had no heat. I have had two other companies come out and they are both in disbelief that Four Seasons would install such a undersized unit. The crazy thing was I asked why the unit was so small in comparison to the one they were taking out and was told it was due to the brand. Now I'm the one stuck trying to figure out how to fix this problem. I am a disabled veteran I don't have money to keep replacing furances. When dealing with Four Seasons I would suggest getting other quotes.

      Complaint: 20423762

I am rejecting this response because:  Other than insulting me with an offer of a $200 service credit they have not made a single effort to resolve this complaint.  Their website stated "Satisfaction or your money Back" with no asterix or other notes or disclaimers.  Since my first request towards this Guarantee it has apparently been taken off of their website.  I believe this to be false advertising.

The a/c unit was originally placed in my unit in July 2021.  Despite numerous service calls for poor performance it took their company until August of **** to realize that the a/c unit was incorrectly installed in July of 2021.  The a/c unit was reinstalled in August 2022 but by then the a/c unit had been handled so many times by their inexperienced techs the damage may have already been done.  In June of 2023 a tech noticed that the connector between the a/c unit and the house vent system was half off.

And the are trying to pass the blame  of this onto  me???  Just another insult.  The never acknowledged the fault was with THEIR inexperienced techs...

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

site it states "Satisfaction or your money back". I have talked to them several times requesting they honor this statement and the first insulted me by offering a $200 service credit when I persisted they claimed I voided the warranty by going with a different company. I NEVER sought a warranty claim only that they honor their Satisfaction promise.I will upload the eight visit documents I have plus some pictures that show the damage to the unit and supporting structure.

We have received the consumers complaint and have reviewed the account. As of 8/17/2023, we have been working with ****************** on resolving his concerns regarding the leak found on 07/19/2023. Upon extensive review,  we can confirm that our technician found the acoil drain port clogged causing the water not to drain properly which caused the Magicpak unit to leak. Due to the leak being caused by a clogged port we are unable to take liability for the damage caused, as a clog port can occur at any time for a number of reasons such as not changing filters, dust or mildew, etc. Upon departure of the consumers home on 07/19/2023, our technician cleared the debris out the port and unit was working and draining properly. In conclusion,Four Seasons will not be refunding customer for the unit installed on 7/2/2021. Its unfortunate we were unable to come to a resolution that works for the consumer as we have exercised all plausible, fair options available. We do consider this matter resolved and ask that it is removed from our records out of purview.Thank you for your time and consideration in resolving this matter.

      Date: 08/30/2023

      Complaint: 20423762

I am rejecting this response because:  Four Seasons has ignored  the fact that their incompetent techs improperly installed the unit on July 2, 2021 and despite numerous service calls over the next THIRTEEN MONTHS DID NOT recognize that fact.  Even after the unit was installed correctly in August 2022 the unit did not operate properly and resulted in more service calls.  When their tech discovered that the unit was not properly connected to the house duct work I had had enough.  I believe that numerous failed service calls had damaged the unit and caused the unit to fail and yet Four Seasons had the gall to insult me with a $60 service credit when we had paid over $5,000 for their incompetence.  I changed the filter religiously and fulfilled my duties.

So I took Four Seasons at their word and applied for my money back under a statement on the Four Seasons website "Satisfaction or Your Money Back" that had no conditions, asterisk or other qualifications, just those five words.  Those five words have since been removed from their website.

I consider this to be FALSE ADVERTISING and any reputable company would honor their published word.  Obviously Four Seasons is not a reputable company.

I will not halt my efforts to make Four Season honor their published promise whether it takes word of mouth, media outlets or legal action.

This matter is NOT RESOLVED and won't be until Four Seasons makes me a reasonable offer that is MORE than a $60 service credit.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

My husband ***** and I wanted an HVAC company to service our 15-year old air conditioner and provide advice as to why 1 room in our home was not being properly heated/cooled. Other than the poor air flow in 1 room, we were satisfied with how the A/C was working and just wanted it looked over. ***** called Four Seasons, and on 7/7/2023, they sent employee *********************************, who looked over the components and advised refrigerant was slightly (1 lb) low, and the contactor and capacitor showed wear and should be replaced. ***** approved all recommendations and ********* replaced the contractor and capacitor and added R22, at a total cost of $1200. Immediately after the service, we both noticed the A/C was working worse, we had to set the thermostat lower, and heard a rattling coming from the A/C which was not there before. Our home did not seem to stay as cool despite the weather being similar to what it was immediately prior. ***** called Four Seasons again and they sent employee ***** (did not provide last name) on 7/24/23. We were both home and told ***** the problems we have been experiencing since the last technician's visit. He looked at the A/C and told us the compressor was "suddenly" bad and we needed a new compressor for $6,000 or a new unit at a cost of $15,000! When we stood up for ourselves, telling him that before *********' visit the A/C worked fine and it suddenly did not after he supposedly "fixed" it for $1200, ***** told us he felt threatened and left. He felt threatened? He was covered in tattoos and looked intimidating.I believe this company is a scam. I believe ********* did something to our A/C unit that would require us to pay to replace it. They think we can afford $15,000 and they can manipulate us into paying that. The services they provided and the treatment we received from ***** was completely improper. They should really be buying us a new A/C for what ********* did!!! And for ***** wasting our time.

I hired Four Seasons to install a new furnace. Mine was fine and working but I was being proactive as it was 20 years old. My install took place on 6/3/23 it took all day and they only sent one (1) tech when their was supposed to be two (2). 6/10/23 I called Four Seasons out again the furnace filter could not be removed to install a better quality one. The placement is wrong. 7/14/23 came home to water on my floor and the ceiling below the furnace. The puke that was installed to shut the furnace down if it suspected water didnt work either the placement was wrong. 7/15/23 tech was sent out to fix the problem but he wasnt qualified to do so he only evaluated but stated the coil looked like c*** and the tape was terrible and the puck was in the wrong spot and the filter should never be where it was located. He was their all day to with no resolution. 7/19/23 tech comes out and states this is a two person job you need a complete reinstall. I have the wrong coil size and it was done very poorly. After a very long time on hold waiting for someone from Four Seasons to help us else they are now rescheduling to Saturday 7/22/23. All the while on hold today 7/19/23 the call was dropped and customer service is terrible with this company. Turn around time is awful with no resolution. My time is money and wasting my entire summer on an install that should have took place one (1) day for a couple hours has turned into a nightmare. Avoid this company. My time, my damage, and the install is absolutely inexcusable.
