We hired Four Seasons to install both a furnace and a humidifier in May 2022. They gave us a quote for $4380 that included both appliances(document attached), but their contract was deceiving- they applied a discount of $945 to the proposal, but they applied it only to the humidifier. Now they refer to the humidifier as a free accessory and allege they are not liable to deliver it anymore. We paid 100% of what was agreed on the contract, they installed the furnace but they failed to deliver the humidifier because, at the time of installation, the technician said it wouldnt fit the existing space. The salesperson failed to measure the existing space appropriately when he gave us the quote, so promising a humidifier that did not fit was a mistake on their end. In spite of that, they refused to refund us any money for not providing the humidifier and refused to find a humidifier that would fit the space. After multiple complaints and getting nowhere with the customer service, we contacted another provider who gave us a quote of $895 for a fan-operated humidifier, a smaller model that would fit in our space(document attached). We made Four Seasons aware of this alternative model but they refused to install it, alleging they dont work with those models. Instead, they gave us two options: (a) we pay them an additional $1593 to do some work in the air duct so that their model would fit, or (b) we do not get the humidifier and do not get any money back. We obviously have not proceeded with option a. We did not get the humidifier and did not get reimbursed by Four Seasons.By not delivering and installing the humidifier they promised, and still getting 100% of the money, Four Seasons is making a bigger profit at our expense. Applying discounts to appliances that you then dont provide, is a deceptive and unfair business practice. Businesses should apply discounts to make themselves competitive, not to elude the responsibility of delivering the goods promised.Business Response

We apologize for any delay in our response. As of 9/8/22, we refunded $895 back to the consumers card. The free humidifier that the consumer qualified for did not fit at their home and could not be installed. We refunded the value of the humidifier strictly out of good customer service as the consumer did not pay any monies for the humidifier in question. We do consider this matter resolved, thank you for your time.Customer Answer

On 07/30/2022 I contracted with Four Seasons Heating & A/C to purchase a new furnace & A/C ************* cleaning for $13,499.00. The job would start on 08/01/2022. I told the sales person that they should check the pressure lines to the unit prior to the install, since my next door neighbor had trouble with his lines. ( These lines run under the cement floor as I have NO BASEMENT.) I repeated this warning to the two techs that came out to start the work. When they damaged the humidifier ,taking it off the old furnace to switch it to the new one, I said to get a price on a new one. They came back with a quote of $1200.00? I said they only cost approx. $200. Why the big markup? I suggested , I'll buy it and they can install it? They came back & said "they cannot do this". I told them to "put the old one back on then". We ended up I bought a new humidifier & they put it on the new furnace as we originally agreed. They were supposed to transfer the ** system & the HUMIDIFIER from the old furnace to the new one. This was part of the sale agreement. When they filled the unit with gas they found I had a leak in the lines. This was after two service calls. I requested a bid to repair the lines. After (4) days they came back with an estimate close to $4000. more to repair the lines, which did not include restoring the drywall & painting it. I found someone else do do the job (replace the lines) for a lot less $$. At this point I want this A/C system to operate correctly without ANY MORE MONEY from me or I choose to return it under Four Seasons TWO-YEAR 100 % SATISFACTION GUARANTEE OR YOUR MONEY BACK. They are refusing to do this. I have made two trips into their office to straighten this out. I have talked to Mr. ************************* ********* wouldn't give last name). There are two elderly people involved here, I am one of them, and we depend on the A/C when it gets hot. We both have had heart surgery. I wish to resolve this issue in a timely manner. *******************Business Response

I had a furnace and a/c tuneup done on Friday 7/29/22. After the work was preformed the technician explained that both compressor and furnace were in poor condition and a lot of repair, at a cost of $2500 or more. We decided to replace the furnace and a/c with new units at a cost of $10500. Part of the deal was the $300 I paid for the tuneup would be returned to me as the equipment would be replaced. I have contacted Four Seasons several times to request the refund and have been put on hold or told they would call back for 3 days now and have not even been allowed to talk to the salesman about the issue. During the installation of the new furnace the workmen cut a hole in the wrong side of the furnace which I was going to allow until I realized how big the hole is. The hole approximately 15 x 36 inches has been sealed up with the leftover metal and duct tape.Business Response

On July 7th we had a fire in our AC system. On July 9, 2022 we had the sales rep ******* come out to give us a quote for installation of new unit. It was determined we needed to do both furnace and AC. We agreed and explained to ******* that we would need an itemized bill due to having to turn into the insurance company for reimbursement from the fire. The unit was installed on 7/19/2022 - 2 extremely professional gentleman completed the work. ******* was contacted to send the itemized bill, he sent a screen shot of his computer screen. We turned that into our adjuster and he did not accept as it didnt have a complete breakdown on company letterhead. Since July 20, 2022 Ive been calling for an itemized invoice to submit to our insurance company and cannot get anything sent to me - ***** from customer service called on 7/29 and stated I would have it emailed from accounting by end of day. It was never received. I have called and left messages for customer service and have not had a call back.Business Response

Im very disappointed in this company "the integrity" of this company to be specific. I purchased a new furnace and new AC unit from this company, purchased the **** and got my ducts cleaned. Upon the young man showing me where he had to patch up the areas of my new furnace which was normal as he stated, I noticed dripping coming from this hose and air coming my new furnace. Per the invoice which states "Found refrigerant leak on suction line. Suction line was not replaced. Existing line is not copper. No way to braze. Install coming out on Monday 7/18/22 to replace suction line and charge system. Disconnect left off."Had the leak not occurred, I wouldn't have known that ALL Parts from my old furnace weren't changed. This part that was not changed has a value of $3000. I was livid! Two technicians and the supervisor did come out to complete the job correctly the following Monday BUT that still doesn't change the fact that I didn't get what I purchased initially and wasn't told that they were going to use my old suction line. When you spend that type of money you expect honestly and integrity. This part of the job that wasn't done initially took 3 hrs for them to do the following week. Thats a huge part that was NEGLECTED initially with out my notification. That wasn't a mistake. One of the other technicians that came out to access the situation stated "Are you sure we did this?" That made me inquire more about what wasn't done correctly. They attempted to offer me free cleaning of my unit which is not satisfactory to me. That makes me question, how many other customers has this been done to? I requested a refund for my **** and duct cleaning for the fraudulent activity and they keep denying it. I now want EVERYTHING uninstalled since they won't accommodate me for their lack of integrity, fraud (by not changing ALL parts, NOR NOTIFYING ME) and inconvenience. I also wasn't notified prior to installation that the **** bulb needs replacement every 2 yrs at $250Business Response
