I was having service done on my furnace. The service *************** said I needed a new furnace that this one was no good. He quoted me a price of $8500.00. I said it was to much so he went down to $5535.00. I said ok. But I couldnt get it until Jan 2023. He said no problem he could get me financing 12 months interest free with no payments for 12 months. I got a bill the next next week for monthly payments. I called the office to speak with the owner and was told that he doesnt speak to people by ***** shes the customer service mgmt. the two guys that put the furnace in did a terrible job, they left wires hanging out disconnected my humidifier and cut off my hot water tank and the furnace sound like a truck moaning and groaning. This was on a Friday. They had sent me a text for authorization to release the payment that Friday but I didnt sign. The job was suppose to be 4 or 5 hours. They were there from 8 to 6 and they called for a supervisor to assist them. So that Monday they sent a lead technician out about **** he redid the wires and was there to almost 6. He discovered the humidifier wire was disconnected. And couldnt find the wire. So he said he could put a new control up and connect it in the laundry room the original is in the hallway but the wire was gone. He said if he removed it there **** be a big hole in the wall. The office told him they would have to investigate this matter. They never called or said anything about it. But they sent the bill for $5535.00 I didnt pay. So then they called and sent another guy out to wire the the humidifier. But he could not put it where it was because the wire was lost. He had to wire it in a different place. Now Im suppose to pay some one to take the control down and plaster my wall because of them. He also told me that all the noise I was hearing was from a flap in the blower or something. To make a long story short Four Seasons sent 2 guys to my house who were not qualified to do the job and 4 more out to fix up behind them. I am a 66 yr. old senior black single woman. They thought they could bambosel me and get away with it. And Im sure they have done this before. The owner ********************* owe me a apology. And my wall need to be fixed.

      Complaint: 18540727

I am rejecting this response because:

      Dear BBB

I received a call today from Four Season Hearing and Air Conditioners from a **************** Manager name ***** about my claim. They sent a tech out today about the 9th one for the furnace they installed. Originally the complaint went to ***************** I have talked to 4 **************** Mgmt people since the complaint. And they have sent out at least 3 techs since who have not completed the complaint. The one today might have done the job but I have to wait a couple of days to see if the problem is rectified.

Anyway ***** was very rude as I stated they cut the wire on my humidifier and the tech had to put in a new control to hook it back up. He informed me that he could not take the old control, off the wall because it would leave a hole in the wall and wires would have to be removed and the wall plastered and painted.  When talking with ***** she told me to get a estimate. Today ***** told me very nasty that they would not pay me or take any money off this $5545 bill. They will give me free furnace cleaning for 3 years as if I would use there services after it has taken them since Nov 18 to try and install a furnace.

She said they dont give monetary refunds or credits. They really think the can bully poor folks or seniors and run them over and that we are gophers and go for anything. I have not paid the bill and I dont think I should pay the ********* as if I have money lying around to pay for there stupidity. She said the guys that messed up my furnace after all they have to get experience on the job and learn from there mistakes. Well for $5545  they can learn somewhere else. And that owner ***********************  is a thief and ***** and something needs to be done. He is probably preying on senior woman and they cant recognize all the mistakes like I found. And then all these so called  Managers he got think they can talk to you any kind of way and bully you.

      Sent from my iPad

      *************************

      Sincerely,

I said I will call around he keep telling me he has to charge $85,00 if I don't get them new boiler. I put on ***************** I am disputing that charge right now with ***************** This was a Free estimate at best! I call 3 other companies no one has charge me. They all said the same thing that this guy was just trying to sell me a new unit. only! Our furnace broke on November 2, 2022 and was installed on November on 3, 2022. My wife and I are senior citizens and we both have health issues. My wife was in bed and we told the contractor we have no cash money. He says that they can finance it but with extremely high interest at 10%, We had no choice we had to accept the terms. My wife was to sick and no where to go. After the installation the company. calls me back and tells me they have to charge me more interest because we are seniors and we do not have no money. They demand that we sign more papers and no they raised the interest to 13%. We had no choice because we need heat or we die. Another issue they demand my Social Security which I had to give him. I never give out my Social Security and now it is all over the internet. This company takes full advantage of seniors in distress.

We have recieved the consumers complaint and have further reviewed and contacted consumer on 12/5/2022. Per our conversation, we did go over the finance terms and explained that due to customers credit this was the only option. Out of good customer service, we have offered a discount on the installation but unfortunately consumer has declined our offer. We will continue to follow up, in order to come to a resolution that works best for him. Thank you!

In the month of October 4 seasons installed a furnace and air conditioning unit in our home. Over the last month we have had 5 technicians come into our home because the furnace will not work properly. On the 1st visit the technician vacuumed the unit And claimed it was fixed. The next technician came in and said he was unsure of the problem and would send his supervisor the next day. The supervisor came and said that to *** pipe was installed incorrectly. He reinstalled the *** pipe and claimed it was fixed. 2 days later our furnace again would not heat our house. I requested a senior technician to come and look at our furnace. The technician was here for about one hour and vacuumed out the unit claiming that small plastic pieces were what was causing the problem. Because of a heat wave in our area we did not use the heating over the last week and a 1/2. Last night we tried to turn on our heat and woke up to our house at 58 degrees. I called 4 seasons And requested a brand new furnace or a refund. 4 seasons said that a customer service representative would call me back and they would send out another technician. The technician working on the furnace today, is using the same checklist as the last 4 technicians. The furnace is still not working properly and four seasons is not providing any solutions.

On September 9th I called Four Seasons because my upstairs toilet was backing up and leaking into my first floor. Tech came out replaced the toilet was told that the leak was from the toilet being old and did not have a wax seal. October 29th the toilet starting bubbling and water started back leaking into the first floor worst than before.I called back to Four Seasons and it was agreed that a proper assessment was not done and Four Seasons would eat the cost of having the toilet line rodded out. After Speaking with a manager ******* i advised her that I would like to file an insurance claim for them to have my ceiling fix. She said ok and had ******************** come out, they came out on ***** and advised they would have to get back to Four Seasons. On 10-31-22 I called back to check the status and spoke with ******* who then said let her research and called back and said that i never said in my initial call that i had a leak I just mentioned toilets and Four Seasons would not be able to help me.When I called I no I said I have a leak coming from my bathroom leaking into my ceiling, it may be the toilet and if so i would like to it replaced . I said it on the phone and to the service rep. After spending $2,000 on toilets that I didn't even need and still ended up with a problem. I would like to for Four Seasons to at least help with the repair of my ceiling. The Initial manager ******* did say they would take care of it.

We apologize for any trouble or miscommunication that has occurred. Four Seasons makes every effort to accommodate our customers requests. Back on September 9th over a recorded line ****************** requested we provided a quote to replace two toilets. It was never mentioned there was a leak or a backup that needed to be addressed. ************** was able to provide a quote that the customer signed and agreed with. On October 29th we were sent out to assess water damage from a leak and clogged lines. It was diagnosed that the leak and back up were not related to the replaced toilets 50 days prior. Because the leak and back up were unrelated to the install of the toilets we are not able to take responsibility for the damage. ************** offered to power rod the line to clear the blockage and provided a quote accordingly. Out of good customer service the decision was made to perform the power rod at no additional charge. In addition, we also recommended a restoration company to come out and work with the customer regarding the damage caused by the backup and leak. At this time, we have shown ****************** good customer service along each step of the way.The work we did initially has no bearing on the issues she experienced with the clogged line. We have the recording of the initial call where ****************** requested a quote to replace both of her toilets if this is needed.

Hello, As previously explained it was never brought to our attention there was an issue with the toilets, clog, or leak. We were called out to replace two toilets at the customers request. The attached recording of the call is from September 8th. The attached paperwork shows we quoted to replace two toilets and installed them at the agreed upon price. Never a note or mention of an issue. Any clog or leak not directly associated with our work and  occurs weeks later is not something we would be responsible for.

On September 28, 2022 we had Four Seasons out to look at our furnace which had stopped working. We had a 110 BTU , they put in a 90 BTU. We would not have wanted a smaller furnace. It is too small for our house and we are freezing. We have called about 20 times They have sent people out 4 times.Last night they sent out a tecnition who has 10 years experience. He said that the furnace is too small and he would have put in a 110.BTU.They had told us that what this guy says they will go by But when we called today they said they now want to send a Lenox guy out. We said no. They said they would put the 110 BTU in. We are being lied to. If they would have just put the right size in to begin with all this hassle would not be needed. Due to a Immundefiecy I am home a lot, and have infusions at home. To feel some what warm we have to put the heat to 78 which will cause our heating bills to soar. We can't even talk to a manager. We paid over six thousand for the furnace. All we want is the size we had of 110 BTU. We would not have wanted a smaller furnace. The guy who was here 1st never told us he was putting a smaller unit. We are in our late 70s and desperately need your help. Thank you.

Good Morning. We are currently working with the consumer to come to a resolution that works best for all parties involved. We did remove a 100k BTU furnace from the home and installed a 90k BTU unit which per our calculations, is the correct size for the home. We are currently working with ****** the manufacturer and we are going over the calculations to verify our findings. We will be in contact with the consumer again tomorrow. Thank you for your time, we will update accordingly.

I purchased a furnace from four seasons and was not told anything about doing maintenance within a year. I was told my warranty was not covered anymore. Then I was given a packet and all the information about the warranty was in the middle of the packet and all the packet said was keep near the furnace. It's a user's manual. Now they won't come out to make sure we're safe. And now they want more money to do it. Very unfair.

Four Seasons Customer #****** Pervasive problems concerning Four Seasons regarding their Service and Professionalism; Workmanship and Expertise and Integrity of Boiler System and Parts. Our barely six year old boiler has significant damage requiring repairs prior to this Fall/Winter. We feel the issues with boiler are related to parts and workmanship. Most disturbing - we were informed by other HVAC companies that our system was installed without a required backflow preventer and that contaminated water (chemical and biological) could flow directly into the drinking/potable water system. Other issues brought to our attention:Bell pressure reducer has no valve, located in bad spot and is not in legal compliance. Mixing valve for basement is not piped properly and water is too hot very unlikely truly mixed and cooled down. Currently at 180 degrees - not cooled down to preferred industry standard of 140 degrees.Unable to completely isolate basement zone from rest of the house.Missing chimney liner required for all modern equipment to stop condensation and deterioration of the masonry chimney, potentially causing health hazards and costly repairs.Unanimous feedback from HVAC providers valve zones used by Four Seasons were/are inferior, antiquated and prone to leaking.Location of water supply and expansion tank are not correct Our multiple attempts to engage with Four Seasons have been futile and experiential disaster. Engaging with **************** has been brutal. We believe they expect/hope customer will just give up in frustration. Please refer to attachment for detailed overview. Thank You
