*********** 2024 i had 4 seasons come out for a furnace tune up. I was told my furnace had a cracked heat exchanger. This is a Trane furnace 7 years old with 20-year warranty. I Contacted a Trane dealer and was told nothing is wrong with furnace. I am now contacting because a family friend had exact same experience. My house has 3 carbon monoxide detectors they are digital and show zero monoxide. Let's be honest or better trained. Thank you.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Please keep this claim open as there has not been a satisfactory resolution.
This business reached out to me by phone on 12/31/24 and advised me they would refund $385.00 dollars to me after I signed a document (via docusign) they sent to my email. The document said if I accept the refund of $385.00 I would need to remove all the poor reviews I have on social media within 24 hrs of my signature.
Of Course, I rejected this offer as they are now trying to bride me and basically holding my money hostage.
Dispictable!
Signed,

Sincerely,
**** ******s a full time job. They told me they would charge me $250.00 for the look inside the pipe and would credit me $385.00. I have yet to receive that credit despite multiple calls to them. I am rejecting this response because:
They are asking that one of their technicians come and assess the boiler and provide analysis of the facts stating that they sold me a lemon of a product. I repeatedly told four seasons no I wanted a independent investigation of the boiler with a company not associated with four seasons for a fair and impartial audit of the boiler and its problems.

Date of Service: December 2024 Nature of Service: Electrical panel upgrade to 200-amp ********** December 2024, I hired Four Seasons Heating and Cooling to replace and upgrade my homes electrical panel. Recently, I discovered visible soot and burn marks inside the panel. Concerned about the potential fire hazard, I had a licensed third-party electrician inspect the panel. Their findings indicated that the damage was likely due to loose connections or improper installation, both of which fall under Four Seasons responsibility. When I contacted Four Seasons to resolve this issue under the warranty provided at the time of installation, they refused to address the problem, citing my engagement of a third-party inspection. This refusal is baseless, as the warranty should cover workmanship defects regardless of an external inspection. This situation is extremely serious, as the burn marks and soot in the panel indicate a potential fire hazard, putting my family and property at significant risk. Moreover, Four Seasons' refusal to honor their warranty leaves me with costly repairs that should not be my responsibility I have attempted to resolve this matter directly with Four Seasons, but they have refused to take accountability or inspect the panel for workmanship defects.I respectfully request the BBB to intervene and assist in holding Four Seasons accountable. Specifically, I am asking that Four Seasons:1. Inspect the electrical panel to determine the cause of the soot and burn marks.2. Repair or replace any faulty components or workmanship issues at no cost to me, as per the warranty agreement.3. Provide a written statement confirming the panels safety after repairs are completed.Four Seasons Heating and Cooling's refusal to honor their warranty and address a serious safety concern is unacceptable. I am filing this complaint to seek immediate resolution and to prevent others from facing similar issues.Business Response

Faulty install of pvc pipes of exhaust caused a leak and worry of carbon monoxide. Four seasons assumed no fault and were not amenable to pay for what was needed to fix their egregious error. When I tried to call when service men were out their lines were down for an hour. The lack of glue on pvc piping was negligence and dangerous and not OK.Business Response

Complaint: 22620665
I am rejecting this response because: There were 4 service calls from 12.2.2023-01.23.2024 in addition to 9 service calls 11.16.2024-11.29.2024 due the furnace installed by Four Seasons FAILED to turn on. (The amount of service calls alone is very significant) I am not satisfied with Four Seasons response since my mother and I have been inconvenienced due to the failure of the furnace installed by Four Seasons. Four Seasons guaranteed satisfaction within their contract, but want us to settle for the furnace currently working; We have already experienced several failures with this furnace.
Sincerely,
**** ***** communicate to her in a argumentative tone but a firm statement of what I wanted when she asked. It appears the furnace is defective and I want Four Seasons to acknowledge this fact and honor the contract because I am not satisfied with this defective furnace and the consistent inconvenience.Business Response

We wanted to provide a detailed update regarding the recent service visit and our latest conversation regarding the ongoing concerns with your furnace.
Technician's Report:
Our technician conducted a thorough diagnostic during the most recent service call. Here are the key findings and actions:
The system was tested extensively, during which the gas valve failed, receiving 27 volts and failing to turn on, resulting in a lockout condition.
The gas valve was replaced, and additional safety checks were performed, including tests for gas leaks (none detected) and carbon monoxide ***** which was also not present.
A video recording of the testing process and findings was shared with you for transparency and to demonstrate the diagnosis.
Current Status:
The furnace is now functioning according to manufacturer specifications following the repair. Based on this, the manufacturer has determined that the system does not qualify for a replacement at this time.
Our Recent Conversation:
We appreciate your patience and understanding during our discussion, though we completely recognize your frustration given the history of service visitsover 10 since the beginning of 2024. You also mentioned your satisfaction with the previous unit purchased from us, which highlights the disparity in your current experience.
As we concluded:
We provided you with direct contact information to ensure you have a dedicated point of support for any future issues this season.
While the system is working as designed for now, we encourage you to reach out immediately if additional problems arise, so we can address them promptly.
As of now, we are closing the claim, but it will be reopened if further issues occur.
Your satisfaction remains a priority, and we are committed to supporting you through any future concerns. Should any further issues arise or if you have additional feedback, please dont hesitate to contact us directly at *********************.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to ensure your furnace operates reliably. We value your trust in Four Seasons and remain dedicated to resolving this matter to the best of our ability.Business Response

We acknowledge your update and appreciate the detailed information provided. Based on the technician's findings, the diagnostic process, and the successful repair completed to restore the furnace to manufacturer specifications, we have determined that no further action is necessary at this time.
As the system is now functioning properly and does not qualify for replacement per the manufacturers criteria, our response remains the same, and we will not be taking any further steps regarding this matter.
Thank you for your understanding.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Four Seasons Heating Air Conditioning Company has failed to guarantee 100% satisfaction per their agreement. Please review the specific attached document which notes the ***************** Program/Four Season Peace of Mind declaration. I am not satisfied nor do I have Peace of Mind; giving the first three months of purchase, several service calls were initiated in DEC 2023 and Jan 2024 regarding furnace failure to turn on. Following 2024 winter season, a series of service calls in Nov 2024. As a customer, I do not feel satisfied that this furnace will not fail again. It does not feel good or comforting to be sitting in a COLD house awaiting a service technician to service a NEW FURNANCE.

I contacted four seasons, as a request for my home boiler to be repaired. I received a quote, and scheduled the repair date. When the quote was made, the technician made no attempt to check under the house for issues. After the installation when turned on the technicians missed water leaking under my house. This pipe leaking comes directly from the boiler. This is a place they were actively hammering and torquing down upon. Myself and my family; which includes, a 1 year old have now been without heat due to the company failing to send someone to repair. The technician that came out after the installation reported, this was my fault. However, I have never touched the plumbing under this home; and yet, Four seasons has postponed my calls (e.g. sending me to voicemail, and prolonged hold calls). After a phone call today; somehow, for a company that posts emergency calls has no one to come out to repair. They have been made aware I am without heat due to their employees failing to complete a full repair. The company is standing with the notion this is chargeable after I have already paid out $9804 to them for a replacement. This needs to be addressed as they have knowledge of leaving a family without heat, after having paid for repairs.Business Response

We had a furnace installed by 4 Seasons ******************************************* in October of 2023. It was installed incorrectly and failed the inspection by the City of ****** IL inspector as there was water damage coming down the venting/flume to the furnace. They never reached out to fix it. When we went to turn our furnace on in October of 2024 it wasn't working. We called and had a technician come out to find out our inducer motor had burnt up due to the water damage. We complained and explained about the failed inspection and the faulty installation. After a dozen phone calls and advocating for ourselves and 6 different visits with various technicians all issues have now been fixed however they refuse to work with us on some sort of compensation due to the horrible service we have received. It took 3 visits to get the venting replaced, our drywall was damaged, our property was damaged, an outlet that also failed inspection wasn't replaced. They sent another technician who had no experience or knowledge working with outlets. He left the outlet hanging off, uncovered, not even screwed in. The next technician said the switch the previous person installed was broken, so he replaced it again. Another technician was sent to try to "clean" the inside of our 1 year old furnace that had water damage and rust. He cleaned it and replaced several parts, leaving us now with basically a refurbished furnace after 1 year that cost us $9k! They have gone round and round with us now in regards to a refund or compensation due to the service we recieved and the faulty installation they have provided.Business Response
