My son got a Covid test that was supposed to be free on 12/21/2021. Almost 2 years later I received a bill saying they had been trying to reach me without success and now I owe them money or they will call collections. I tried paying online and over the phone and both said my account didnt exist. Its nearly impossible to get someone on the phone so I dont have any way or resolving this. I will never go to this urgent care again. Horrible.

Late summer of '22, we went to the Wellnow Urgent care in *******, **. for covid check. Almost one year later we get a bill for $500.00. Why it took them nearly a full year to bill us, we never found out. We emailed them several times with no reply. We mailed them several letters with questions, again no reply. Tried to call them many times, what a waste of time that was. Each time was put on hold, the longest time was 40 minutes. I hung up. For three months we tried to get answers to questions such as Why did they not bill insurance, why did it take them nearly a year to bill us. There was a surprise $315.00 they did not want to discuss I am sure. In the end, they turned us in to **************, very rude, not much help.We bit the bullitt and paid the bill. There was no real choice, nobody would answer questions.It will be a very very cold day in h*** before we go to wellnow again and I urge everyone to stay far far away from that place The people that need to see this post.......won't . I feel a little better now, thanx. Is it ok to leave a no star review ???? Apparently, you must give at least a 1 star. ratingWellNow Urgent Care

Staff are allowed to announce to other lobby patients what you are here being seen for. This is the second incident with staff involving the same thing. I don't want the rest of the lobby to know why I am here. Under the registration it says occupational medicine so I am unsure why they have to announce that I am here for a drug screen. Also some of staff's treatment of brown and black people is horrendous. I also on two separate occasions have been treated like less than that of a dog and the treatment is grotesque.WellNow Urgent Care

Their patient care is great but their billing practices should be investigated. My son visited them in March and then again in April, along with my Daughter. I received a bill in May for the March visit which I promptly paid. A few months go buy and I kept getting outstanding balance texts. We repeatedly contacted them asking for copies of the invoices for the later visits so we could pay them and they never sent. I finally received the *** from the insurance company and paid what was on their statement via their online portal. A couple weeks later, the collection agency starts calling. I explained I paid, and they told me I had to call WellNow. When I called I was either told there was no balance due or that the payments weren't applied correctly and now it's fixed. Again more creditor calls. After hours of phone time with WellNow and the collections agent, it was a determined that my husband went to WellNow at some point in the summer and instead of paying the March invoice, they directed my payment to my Husband's account. I never even knew he went and we never received an invoice. Finally resolved but they are very unorganized and their bill pay system cannot be trusted. For that reason alone, we will never be going there again.WellNow Urgent Care

Awful! I have had Nothing but issues ** the Wellnow from a billing standpoint. The care received was great however I dont know that I would step foot in this urgent care again due to consistent poor billing practices. I brought both my children march/2022. I had called about a bill in May 2022 and was told I had 0 patient responsibility. Noted and filed. One year later I got a bill and I thought jeez I better look at the *** thats from last year. It sat on my counter and I got bill number two. I went immediately this time and looked up the *** and paid it. I then got texts and calls from Met Credit which I assumed were SPAM. Until I decided to call the number back. Only to find out Wellnow sent me to collections. I did some digging and found the old bull from the previous year that was noted no responsibility. That bill I was told I had no responsibility did in fact have responsibility. I called the billing department 4 times. Emailed billing department I dont even know how many times I never got a clear answer how to pay my bill or what was outstanding. Eventually they never even responded back to my inquiry. 45 min hold times and would need to hang up, eventually I got it cleared up with the creditor and moved on. I got a new bill for this years visit in June, on it I still see a march 2022 claim is pending insurance review this one for the other kid. I called the billing department (again hold times consistently long, needed to call back a few times before I get someone) Im told by ******* on 8/16/2023 @ 1:47 that once again my patient due balance is $0. I asked why is this one claim still showing pending ins and he said he wasnt sure but if there is a patient amount due they will send me a bill. Ok. Fast forward a month I am back to collections with MET CREDIT for a bill I'm told I dont owe. I cant get a live person on the phone from Wellnow. And Im beyond frustrated.WellNow Urgent Care

1 starExtremely poor wound care and overbilling me. 4 visits for a laceration on my thumb, with immediate numbness, that should have been 2 visits. 6/27 didn't pull skin out that was pushed in, put in 5, not 6 stitches, told come back 7-10 days and keep covered. 7/6 told should have been advised 13-days due to cut location and NOT to cover it. 7/10 my 5 stitches were removed, but the cut was still open, likely due to leaving skin in the cut on 6/27 causing bump below the cut, wound glued and steristriped. 7/15 glued again and finally referred to a hand specialist. I have pictures from July 14 and 17. I believe I should have been referred to a hand specialist no later than 7/6 since my numbness had not changed.
For all of the visits to Wellnow - 6/27, 7/6, 7/10, and 7/15, I was told I would only be billed for 6/27 and the one follow up that it should have taken, instead of 3, was included. Wellnow apparently didn't check my copay of $75 for 6/27 and only charged me $30. A $9.49 credit from my overpayment on March 25, 2023 for Covid testing was applied to 6/27, leaving my copay balance of $35.51. I am also being billed $44.29 for 7/15, but I should owe nothing as this was treated as my one follow up appointment. I sent a check for $35.51 on 9/18.
I called Wellnow on Hilliard-Rome Rd two times regarding my bill, but received no return phone call. I then called corporate on 8/22 and filed a grievance for the extremely poor health care I received and the overbilling. I called again on 9/11 and was told I should have received a call back by now and it would be escalated to Sandy, a manager, who would call me in 24-48 hrs. I called again today, 9/20, and was told no manager was available and again was told I'd receive a phone call back within 24 hrs.
This is the worst wound care and overbilling experience in my life. I will not trust my healthcare ever again to Wellnow, and risk further poor care and overbilling.Review fromChristena B

1 starMy regular doctor’s office flooded last year so they told me I had to go to an urgent care for the issues I was having, I picked a Well Now in Garfield Hts, Ohio. I gave them my Medicaid Anthem insurance which they said they took. Months later I get a bill for $315 when my insurance should have covered the entire bill and that is according to my insurance company! I even tried calling their billing dept several times on several different days and they never answer. I even called with my insurance company on the phone and they wouldn’t answer. I feel like I am being scammed. Well now even sent the bill to collections trying to mess with my credit but won’t ever answer the phone. I sat for over an hour once and still no answer. My insurance company stated that they never even submitted the bill to them in the first place and that I don’t owe and that well now should call them. What do I do??! I should not have to pay money I don’t have and don’t owe when my insurance stated all should be covered. I will never go to a Well Now clinic again!Review fromKim B

Daughter went to Wellnow ************, ** location. She paid her copay on the date of service. **** came weeks later asking for copay. Called several times long wait time to speak to someone!! Twice spoke to two different representative and both said have to email proof of payment sent three emails and no response!! Daughter went into location and they took information and was sending it to higher management. Guess what came in the mail today another bill. Frustrating this is not taken care of yet. Daughter also said the treatment of care was not good either. Please do not visit WELLNOW!WellNow Urgent Care

1 starExcellent Service at site but poor customer service with billing. They tell you to contact billing department but no one will respond to emails. Phone calls are ridiculous as you stay on hold forever. I had a COVID test done and I am now being charged $185.00 that is in error.
Very dissatisfied.
