On june 22nd 2023 I was promised 850 in check form when i brought in my **** ****** 4 runner I easily spent 400$ in towing fees To get it there Once i got there turned on the pink slip and my id I took the ********************** to the back of the lkq yard then the guy was verifying if all parts was there He brought to everyones attention the catalytic converter has been removed and replaced with an aftermarket pipe so i check to confirm because i was also unaware so the guy radios the manager she said the most they can give is 300 I said really? Then he responded with you can go speak to my boss as im Walking all the way back to the office I called the number I originaly called to confirm what had happen with catalytic being missing i explained how I did not know and how unfair 300 would be to Me I asked what is the final offering ?the lady said 600 and i said ok thats acceptable is there anyway you can communicate that with the people here she said yes i can electronicaly fix the quote and she did i thanked her and hung up I got to the window and the first thing that was told to me yea 300 is the most we can do and i said really thats it ? And she said yes thats it or you can take your id and you pink slip and remove your car so i said but wait why when i spoke with the lady on the phone her final offer was 600 right away i got yelled at by the whole staff claiming i cant do that that im not supposed to renegotiate they have the final word thats when i said you know what i will not talorate the abuse may i have my items and she said you may get them when you remove your truck and I said seriously? you can keep my id pink slip and ********************** and i will find proper help to solve this issue thank you in advance This was my Confirmation #******** ********************************************************Business Response

Bought a transmission from LKQ on 06/06/2023. Had it installed at a local *********** shop. The new transmission did not work. Contacted LKQ about warranty and they told me it wasn't covered because it's the clutchs in the transmission bad. It was my understanding the whole transmission was covered under the warranty.Business Response

Dear BBB,My car was lost where it was parked on the street in ***********. When i reported to ***************** they LAPD say the car belong to Pick your part in Stanton, **. **** advised me to contact DMV to find out who the real owner is. DMV said contact ********** DMV for the blue print. I had contact to DMV ********** by mail pay a fee for the records it took about 3 month to receive the right document. I drove 2 hours to Pick your part in Stanton, ** to see what is going on with the car. The person at the office had told me the car was here but it was junked on December the 3rd 2022. I have told her i am the owner of the car i have the pink sleep and record from **********. Who relies the title to Pick your ************ with out my consent. This event took place up on a receiving a street parking ticket which was paid which was November 7th 2022. the car was transferred or sold on November the 28/2022 and junked on December 3d 2022. The person at pick your part she said she could not relies the company information who sold it to them but as far as the car it has *** at their location and killed and junked. no further information.When we wan to the nearest police station they Sayed i am not the owner and you have to report it to DMV or have to *** the company who has your car. I am supposed to be notify before they took the car from the street if their was a abandoned car. I am wandering ************ just pick car and junk a car i wander who gave them a license to kill a car as they like. My car was a beautiful Audi 2006 convertible only 98 thousand mile on it. "We purchased this vehicle from you last year and you submitted the proper paperwork to complete the process."
They took the car form where it was parked when I reported the police and the police had direct me to LKQ Corp.
I have the proper document in my position and I will like see LKQ Corp what kind of proof of purchase and the proper paperwork to complete the process in my behalf.
I need proof of all this before I take a legal action in Court as well as the media.When I went to LKQ Corp if the car was still their I found out the car was junked with in 3 days of purchased. My Audi was Antique, has under 95k mileage, good condition, convertible, No accident, and was striped car part and Murdered / junked by LKQ Corp in December 3rd 2022 as far as I am concern.

When we called to inquiry we were told we would be charged a $50 restocking fee because lkq did not cover the oil pan and that was supposed to be told to us when we made the purchase. I recently brought a engine from lkq ********** with it I purchased the 90day warranty I spent close to $800 the engine is no good I couldn't find the receipt but I paid for it with my credit card so I do have a record of this transaction I look all over for the receipt turns out my wife wash my dirty clothes I was wearing cause the were Hella dirty and grease she barely wanted to touch them and put them in washer and washed the receipt that was in my pocket too I went back to the junk yard I have done this before when I lost the receipt for a transmission as a courtesy after they verified that I did In fact purchase the transmission from there gave me a one time exchange I went thinking maybe i could get the same treatment and was told no they longer do that I'm within the warranty time period now I'm stuck with a engine I can't do nothing with I need help I can't afford to buy another engine $800 is a lot of money I don't have it like thatBusiness Response

*************************** of LKQ southeast *** sold a remanufactured engine to ************* CJDR for $4302 on March 16th or March 20th per invoice # ********* and it turned out to be faulty a part was left out that keeps the oil in which resulted in me Having to drop off my only form of transportation on May 19th to be fixed to the faulty engine.I have ***urred transportation fees do to me having to still be able to get to and from work and get my kids to and from daycare as we stay in the country .These fees are a direct result of the faulty engine that is supposed to be checked and cleared with the company before it is sold.I contacted the company on May 26th at 10:52 am and was told that they won't be covering my transportation expenses because that is a risk of getting a remanufactured part even though the company was supposed to check and make sure it is in working condition before selling it.Business Response

On April 20th on or about 10am LKQ wrote me a check for my used car. Once the check was deposited it was returned due to insufficient funds on their part. This caused a $150 overdrafts. The manager apologized for the mistake but he has yet to correct the overdraft. He told me that he sent it to the home office but it has been 1 month and I have visited LKQ and was told it would be corrected. This problem is STILL going on with no end in site.
