We purchased a $25,000 ** from Camping World in ************************, December 2018 & 1.5 years later we had a dry rotted tire that caused over $10,000 damage to our ** going down the interstate. During discovery we have in writing from Camping World that states Camping World Collision Center Does Not Exist. ?? It is Not an entity! The judge even said this in court. This got even more interesting after we found out the back of the check was signed by Camping World RV Sales. This is fraud! They are just trying to make their shareholders happy by making their sales look better than they actually are. Did anyone else have repairs to your ** by Camping World? I am rejecting this response because:
We never got our Rv repaired after the water damage from their technician not installing back the main water line hose. We never accepted or approved when they delivered our RV back. We still have damages on our RV from all the water going inside our RV. This is not acceptable. We are asking for the damages to be repaired or a compensation for the damages. The damages has caused mold and mildew and has caused longtime damage to our floor. Camping world caused this and never repaired the damages. This is unacceptable and should be stopped. I would like to warn everyone not to do business with camping world. This complaint should be saved and shared on the BBB so everyone knows how horrible their business is and do not have adequate technicians do repairs on RVs.
Sincerely,

We purchased a travel trailer at the end on last summer from a rv show in **********, the following weekend we where told to go to ******** ny to pick it up, we went and finished signing paperwork, we decided to stay in the location for the night being it was our first night with the camper. I realized that the stabilizer jacks where not the ones that where in the pictures brochures and website. They where older style jacks. I had a conversation with the salesman specifically about the jacks because a friend of mine had the old style on his and he said they where no good..salesman remembered the conversation and forwarded the information to his management. We where told to take it home and they would send a tech to replace them at our location. A few weeks later they said the parts were shipped to ******** where I requested being that it was alot closer than ********. A week later I brought the camper to ********. A few days later they called me back and informed me they only received 1 out of 4 stabilizers. When I dropped it off i told them the floor squeaks, kitchen window doesn't latch and back door needs slamming to close. Finally almost3 months later we went to pick it up and the window still doesn't latch. They said they need to order a new one and they'll reschedule an appointment to put it in and we can wait while it gets fixed. We where told the same story 3 months prior from the people in ********. We canceled all the extended warranty they sold us seeing the lack of competent employees, we have yet to receive a full refund of the warranty costs, they sent us a partial refund of about 1500 when we spent close to 9k on add-ons. They seem to drag their feet in hopes of just letting go to not deal with the agrivation. A expedited refund would be nice and finally getting a brand new camper in working order would be nice so we can hopefully cut all ties with this terrible companyBusiness Response

Complaint:My Fianc doesn't want to be bothered dealing with camping world, she was already taken advantage of and wants me to deal with their BS. She has told you to refer to me in any matter dealing with the camper numerous times. If I didn't take any action you'd still be giving her the run around. Months later you guys finally realized you overlooked refunding our $6k nonsense warranty... Camping world should be classified as Conartist sleazy salesman who will take advantage of anyone at any time. "Work" on a camper for months and force us to pay for winterizing because inept technicians can't complete repairs even though management says repairs have been completed. Contact my fiance again and she will tell you again to refer to me for the 5th or 6th time, shouldn't be too hard for a big corporation to understand that. But camping world makes their own rules

I purchased a 2024 Springdale Classic Travel Trailer on July,12, 2024. The travel trailer was taken to a permanent park in August. When we started to pull the trailer out of my yard the electric **** broke and I had to go get another one. **** told me it was under warranty and I would get the purchase price back for the one I had to purchase. It was not the same brand as the one on the trailer but it would work. I have contacted the home office in ******* 3 or 4 times. I have sent everyone the information they ask for about the two ****s. I went back again to Camping World in ******** . The took all the information and copied the receipt for the **** I purchased in August **** were sending to the home office in ******* and told me that if I didnt hear from the office in ******* to go back to ******** . Do to the holidays I have not been back to ******** but I have not received any information from anyone. Paid $249.50 for the replacement ****. All I ask is that I get my money back. After finally getting the trailer to the permanent location I walked into the bedroom and everything was wet. The camper was leaking and I had to find someone else to repair the roof on the trailer, which I took care of.Business Response

I had body work done at the Camping World at ******************************. The work order was *****. The issue is that at some point during the two times Camping World was doing body work on my Keystone **, they removed my contact plate (that attaches to the 5th wheel hitch) from the ** without telling me. That action caused my ** hitch to malfunction causing damage to my truck tailgate, putting my wife and me in a life threatening situation on my trip to **********. The first time the ** was in, the work could not be completed before a trip on 10/3/24. However, the ** was drivable. I picked it on 10/1 and drove 376 miles round trip to Show Low, **, returning it on 10/11/24.I then picked it up on 11/11/24 when the work was completed. The next time I touched it was for a trip to ******************** (950 miles round trip). The hitch malfunction resulting rom the removal of the contact plate took place on the return, when getting gas in *****, **. As were returning to the freeway my wife and I heard a thud and felt a jerk, like something hit the **. We looked all around the ** and everything appeared OK. So we proceeded back in the dark. The next morning found out the hitch had slid back and dug into the tailgate.I immediately went to *************** where I purchased the hitch. They saw from my pictures that the contact plate was missing and that caused the situation.I immediately went to Camping World. After their investigation they say that they have a picture showing that the contact plate was missing when I brought it in on 10/11. That tells me is was removed before picking it up on 10/1. They say that it would be impossible, that the ** could not be driven to Show Low and back without the contact plate, but it is indisputable that I was able to drive to ******************** and back to Indio with no incident. There would be no reason for me to remove it. They are the only ones who touched it. I am requesting $2,975.05 for repair of my tailgate..Business Response

8-31-24 to present day.Promises of repairs to my unit, and claims they would work diligently to sell my unit through consignment. The nature of my dispute begins with the listing of my unit on their lot. The paperwork was signed to sell my unit for an amount which I could allegedly walk away with $30,000 to $35,000. The catch was that I could not terminate contract, advertise, or sell my unit until the 90 day period was up. During which 90 day period they claimed they would work with me and "try" to sell my unit, however they listed my trailer for an unrealistic amount of $64,750 when the suggested retail resale of my unit ranges between the amount of $38,000 and $45,000. After the 90 day period was finished, I withdrew my unit from the consignment program. At which time they dropped the price of my unit all the way down to the $40,000 range only for one week following my withdrawal from the program. When I arrived to the location to pick up my unit, I noticed that the fiberglass repairs initially needing repairs were not acceptable with a portion of the area already exhibiting a crack roughly 8" in length, with new damages that were a result of negligent operations and relocation of the unit. Damage to the hydraulic landing gear from relocating the unit without properly retracting jacks, interior damage of a broken cabinet from retracting the slide outs without fully closing cabinets as well as a damaged shower door that warped because vents were not left open during the hot months of September and October. At this point in time, they have had over 30 days to repair the "repairs" along with the new damage inflicted by their negligence, and they have had the audacity to offer a staggering $21,000 to buy my unit outright. This is beyond disrespectful and unethical. I also have timestamped photos of the adds on their website advertising the sale of my unit, along with a Cash Value Payout estimate from Camping World for $24,000 which they are trying to deny.Business Response

I currently have an extended warranty with *********** which also owns Camping World. I took my motorhome there for repairs needed on the bunk slide and the water pump. My motrohome has been there for over 2 months. They finally got the repairs approved through good **** warranty. I have a $500.00 deductible. They then inform me that I have to pay for the freight for the parts. I told them I am only supposed to pay for the deductible and they are responsible for the parts and labor. They refused to pay the freight. I was told that the parts department estimated the freight to be ****** dollars based on previous freight charges for the same parts. Several weeks later they finally get the parts and tell me the freight is ****** dollars. More then double what they estimated. They are refusing to provide me with proof of the freight charges and said that the BBB can ask for the paperwork but I can't. Then as they are doing the repairs they call me and say that there is a wheel on the rear of the slide that is not setting right and the warranty won't approve it to be fixed and that it will most likely effect the function of the slide eventually and they wont guarnatee the work unless I pay to fix it. They said it would be an additional 10 1/2 hours of labor. I said first of all I can't afford that out of pocket and second why would there be 10 1/2 hours of labor when they would already have the slide off for the other repair and have to put it back together with the other repair. if anything it should only be the couple hours of labor for the build up of the floor where the wheel rolls. They said thats not how that works as its a seperate repair but it really isnt and it should have been noticed by them and the inspector from the warranty company when they approved the slide racks to be repaired. I feel like they are liars, cheats and are trying to rip me off and price guage me in multiple ways and I have no choice but to pay the full bill to get my motorhome back from themBusiness Response

On December 12, 2023, I brought my 2021 Kodiak Ultimate travel trailer for service to the Camping World in ***************, **. I asked for 4 items to be addressed: a furnace that wont stay lit, an electric fireplace with diminished heat output, a front window blind replacement, and an estimate to add an exterior propane connection.I was charged $551.03 and was told that the furnace and fireplace were repaired. I asked about the blind and gas line and was told the blind would be ordered and the estimate prepared and I would receive an email about both. I asked that I be notified when the blind arrived and I would pick it up and install it myself. The next day, I tested both the furnace and heater and found them to be exactly the same as before: the furnace short cycles and won't stay lit. The fireplace had the same diminished heat output as before.I made another service appointment on January 16, 2024. At that time, I inquired about the blind and gas line estimate. The blind had not been ordered yet, so I again requested that it be ordered. I also requested a written estimate for the propane line. When I arrived in January, the service manager told me that with so many issues, it was obvious both the furnace and fireplace heater needed to be replaced. He said he would contact my extended warranty company and get the repairs approved and that it wasnt necessary for a tech to look at either appliance again. Before leaving, I asked again for the blind to be ordered and for a written estimate for the exterior propane connection. After driving 90 minutes to the appointment, I turned around and drove 90 minutes back home. I did not feel at all confident that the issues were going to be addressed properly. After leaving 4 messages without a response, I concluded that Camping World intentionally sent me away from the 2nd appointment and did not intend to do anything to fix the appliance issues, order the blind, or provide the written estimate.Business Response

On 08/06/2024, we purchased a 2024 Winnebago Navion 24J from Camping World of Spokane for $150k based on a web page advertised MSRP of $236k. We sent an ethics complaint to Camping World Corporate with no response. The complaint was against overstating the new vehicle MSRP during negotiations by $18.3k and selling a damaged product. We trusted Camping World would not misrepresent MSRP or the condition of a vehicle. On 10/30/2024 while camping it rained on our coach for the first time, and we discovered a severe water leak. The coach was taken to ********* on 12/03/2024, where review of damage caused by the water leak Winnebago indicated that due to the extent and age of the damage, the water leak was known by the dealership. The ************* chassis also has water damage caused by the top part of the coach leaking water in overhead electronics, down onto the dashboard and on the floor of the chassis electrical wiring. Since the purchase, the chassis has been plagued with electrical system failures that ************* fully doesnt understand and reports that repairs caused by the Winnebago are not warranted. We were misled in purchasing a vehicle that wasnt worth the advertised MSRP, but it was severely damaged. Damage that reduces the value of the vehicle further for resale and must be disclosed by the seller. Also, the house part of the coach had mold damage to the overhead sleep area, which must be disclosed. Our purchase was a breach of contract on the part of Camping World and at a minimum we should be compensated for $18,321.00 for the false advertising by an MSRP of a vehicle and another $40k for the loss in resale value due to server water damage to a new coach that we must disclose when we are selling. We have asked for assistance in purchasing a new undamaged 24J just like the one we were led to believe that we were buying but havent been offered any considerations for their injustices.Business Response

Subject Camping World RV Sales, LLC (CWRV) response dated January 6, 2025
Thank you for facilitating communication between *************** and ourselves, but a full refund settlement has not been offered to us.
We wish to inform you that we are rejecting CWRVs subject response. Our rejection is because their response does not address any of the four principal parts of our complaint; 1) CWRV deceptive trade practices, 2) non-disclosure of known material defects, 3) reduced value of the motorhome due to major structural repairs, and 4) voided ************* warranty on issues caused by upfitter damage.
Our taking, at our own expense, the motorhome to Winnebago for warrantable issue resolution shall not be considered any part of a resolution to our complaint with ****. When we discovered that the local Camping ************* Center could not store the motorhome out of the weather, we took the motorhome to our climate-controlled RV garage and then to ********* for CWRV. This was done to minimize further damage caused by CWRVs prior neglect of the motorhome.
Winnebago warrantable issues have been addressed; however, subcomponent and ************* chassis issues persist and are not warrantable by Winnebago,or ************* because of yet to be resolved fault between CWRV, Winnebago and ************* whos at fault for the extensive water damage. To that end we do not consider this complaint resolved, because we still do not have a new undamaged and warranted motorhome, which is what we were led to believe we purchased.
Respectfully,
******* and ***** Zaat

Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
